On coloring, the colors you use depend on what kinda mood you're going for in a picture. I often go for a "nostalgic summer day" feel on things so I use standard sky blues and ... well I use many different shades of green in grass. loll
Do you know about color theory? If not, #btp2 will prove helpful. :o
-Also- a thing to always keep in mind is shadows are pretty much always a cool color in midday outdoor scenes (because blue sky and reflective/ambient light goodness)
The color of shadows on something is determined by the colors of the surroundings.
...BWWAAGGH I'm not thorough enough with things. I hope you can sorta understand what I.m getting at here lol

ALSO I rarely do landscapes and sorta just wing it when I do paint one, so I sadly have no advice or tips in that regard. You really just gotta try random s**t and see what techniques work best for you :o

hmm unless you're planning to change the sketch, maybe different depths of hills in the background would be cool
or like mountains
anything w/ atmosphere
maybe seperate the leaves into sections as well
hmm and for colors i'd advise playing with the normal colors (bright green) then dying it either a milky orange/yellow or a deep blue or something for the pallete
