As for my question, I want you guys to be brutally honest with me--How do you guys feel about Purity?

I have to go back to school for now, so I'll explain why I'm asking later.

I'll answer!

Purity is kind of a forgettable character, but there have been good moments with her too, like cleaning up after Hiiro and Fiona's disaster in the kitchen x'D
She needs more of a personality, you've put a lot of thought into Terra and Weaver and developed them beautifully, but Purity seemed more of an afterthought.

She's a quiet and kind character, if you want to integrate her better, then make her come out of her shell, put more focus on her being a more outgoing character, she has the potential to be pretty funny.

I love her design, fear of bugs and caring personality. But if you want to make her more interesting, make her go through some drastic change to change the way she acts and thinks. Her brother died and her lover became a Nightmare, maybe she changes to protect her friends/loved ones. I don't know, I don't know what you plan on doing with her, this is just my 2 cents :D

I have to agree with Blood, she kinda swept under the carpet, but I don't have favorite moments with her, where she cleaning the zombie is one, Hiiro and Fiona's kitchen disaster,
I like her funny quirks about cleaning and her a fear of bugs.

The reason I asked was because I'm getting very frustrated with Purity's personality (or lack thereof), I've actually had it planned for a while now for her to change like you suggested, Blood, but I'm having trouble executing it. It wasn't until I was stuck with only Purity that I realized just how little I've developed her, and I'm sure you've noticed how in the past few RPs I've been trying to get her to interact with other OCs, I've been trying to work on her personality. That's where I've hit a problem, though, when I go to write for her, I can't think of anything really unique, I guess, it's like I've got writer's block only with Purity's personality. I know how I want her to change, but I can't think of anything for her to do that would bring that change.

Blood and Shadow pretty much said it all. XD Purity can definitely be an interesting character, it's just a matter of whether you pull her out of her little shell. I would definitely like to see more spunk and humor in her, whether it be through the way she talks or when she protects others. And putting her through some behavioral change may be a good idea, since she's been a bit of a static character.

I also like Fluffy's suggestion of whacking sense into people with her mop, maybe because it means putting more energy into her. So far, she's been mellow and doesn't speak her opinion. But if you could get her to be more active and involved, I think she could be a sincerely enjoyable character.

^Yeah! I was gonna say earlier that Purity has a lot of potential to be a fun character. I'm excited to see what you do with her, Lilly. :3

I'm thinking the name I'm going with right now for the species is Vunqrek. They're wyverns with stone-like scales and magical crystals that power their bodies. Their wings are detatched and consist mostly of floating crystals, and their tails generate the power they use for attacking. If it's not taking too much from Shadow's Nightmares, I was thinking about giving them gaps or cracks in their chests, showing the pulsing light from inside their hollow body. I've already got a bit of backstory for them and their world, and I've got a few variations of them in mind too:

Holy Moonlight (Magic)
Ash (Fire)
H20 (Water, Ice, and Steam)
Lightning
Time (Still debating this one)
Space (Still debating this one too)
Light
Darkness
Metal

I'm working on a WIP of the Moonlight one at the moment :p

That is a really epic design concept, I love it!! I wouldn't think the chest thing would be copying because I've seen it everywhere and have used it myself in the past. :P

I think I just like the soundtracks that sound fuller, with the percussion, winds, brasses, vocals, and everything. The subtle sounds can be nice, but I can't enjoy them as much.

Hey guys, I'm sorry for bringing it up, but I want to talk about a few things concerning @Day-The-SunFury. I'm not trying to get her back in, but she was really discouraged when she learned she missed the SKeys anniversary, and she's still generally upset that she was kicked out of the roleplay. Day was told she can come back "Once she's better and things are worked out for her," but she's been pointing out that her dysautonomia and back pains may never heal. I almost feel like we said that as an excuse to keep her away.

I don't know, maybe it was a cowardly move of us? Should we be honest about why we didn't want her here, instead of saying we care about her and want her to get better?

Looking back at her vents, I don't see anything missing from Shadow's post about why Day was removed from SKeys, she mentioned how Day's OCs were too uninvolved and unpredictable to be incorporated into the story, and how SKeys was taking a huge turn in the plot. Shadow mentioned about her health too, yeah, but it wasn't a "cowardly excuse." I can't post comments on her paintings, but I told Shadow I agreed with what she said and I wanted her to add me in there, too. Also, weren't you the only one who told Day she might be able to come back when she got better, Fade? Because I'm looking at her two vent paintings, and I'm not getting that from anyone else's comments, unless she made another vent I haven't heard about or seen yet.

That's just how I see it, though, I could always be missing something.

@Day, I'm sorry, but I am removing you from the RP as the story is taking a serious turn and you don't participate enough for me to incorporate your characters into the RP. You also need to focus on your health, which is way more important than any rp will ever be, I thank you for showing interest in my rp and for becoming a member unfortunately this is for the best. I wish you the best in your future endeavors and I hope you get the treatment you deserve for your disautonomia, you are in my and Lilly prayers Day.

That is what I said, the only thing I did not was on her other vent post which was a direct attack against me and Lily, though she may not realize it herself but that is what vent is.
perhaps I was cowardness not to speak up on one of those post, but at the time I was I do not handle attacks well especially public ones, and I need to think about something and cool my own Feeling.

I am more than aware of physical ailments. I watched my cousin spend most of his life in the hospital because of him having CF, where he's rushed to emergency for spitting up too much blood from his lungs giving up, and thought he gotten new one someone life ended so he can have a few more years, but he would have been dead before he's seen this year, and now his lungs are show me the first signs of rejection...
I helped my dad on a daily basis even for the simplest tasks, and have to deal with the psychological aspect of it, times where he feels that no one else knows the pain he goes through, but in reality we fill a different kind of pain the kind where you want to know, but there is no other way you can, you just watch them declined over the years doing the best that you can for them.
This is not to mention even my own medical problems, I too used to have severe back pains due to two accidents in my youth, they plagued me for many years until my late teens, and now in my twenties I rarely have an act up but I know the older I get the chances of getting the hereditario disease that my dad has will most likely be inflicted upon me.

The thing is despite everything wrong in my family there are people out there who have it far worse, and I try and count my blessings.

Though I know @Day suffer through many elements I also have feel she seeks attention, I know she says that it feels better to speak about it and that is true to some extent but even outside of her medical issues, she pushes own opinions and Feeling on others with out little Though about her actions.

I'm not mad at her but I have been getting more and more irritated, I Can Tell She's the type of people that is used to others giving in and giving her way.
I don't mean to sound heartless but it is things I have observed.

I will say my big regret is how I started Skey, I needed to do more research on how to start an RP at the time I only knew about TDS and it's open join up, if I know how @Kjumper started Artifact sooner I would have done the same way I'm selective on who could join.
But that was my inexperienced, I tried to make it work with @day and was more than patient on numerous occasions, but practice I should have drop her sooner....
As Skey is a plot driven RP and @Day said herself her characters just wander around, and our more background​ characters, but I have to consider every action each person that's into play with in the story and how it might affect things latter on.

I can go speak to @Day but chances are very likely she will vent again, because she is young and wants people to back her up and give in.

She has also shown that she has not changed in the way she RP of making her characters to OP as her character killed @Ash's getting carried away again. Through the gossip I seen that it got resolved but that kind of play Style is very souring to others as we also known of someone in TDS it can kill the life out of an RP, and I don't think she understands that.

I agree 100% with all of what Shadow said, it's exactly how I feel and felt too. I do not hate Day, but I do not want her back in SKeys.

I understand what you guys mean. Although, there are a couple misunderstandings that I'd like to clear up.
About her killing Spectral-Ashwood's character, Ash asked her to do that ahead of time. Day's learned better than to kill or harm a character without permission. And she can drive a plot if she has obligation to - for example, she's helping me build up to some big things for Coldfire and has obeyed everything I've asked her to do. From what I've experienced, she's learned to adapt and improve her roleplaying skills. In addition, Day did make some new vents this morning, and from reading you guys' comments, she's gotten the idea that she can't attend because of her inactivity, but if she removes all obstructions, she can return. I don't know whose fault that is, it's likely just a misinterpretation of text.
But with that out of the way, I agree that she is being immature. We've gone far enough into the story that it's difficult to add another main character, and although she has expressed how much she loved SKeys, she can't always get what she wants.

I'm sorry I brought all this up - it seems to have made things tense, and that was not my intention - but I want to be able to reply to her vents, or at least give her a solid answer as to whether or not she can rejoin. Thanks for sharing your opinions in the kindest ways.

I'll be honest with her pass record it's hard to believe, but I know as a host some things need to be done to help the flow, what with the other's consent that is. But like you said a misinterpretation of text, I am not a member of FaF and only pick up on some things and what @Day does in her own RP is of her own accord been the host he has Liberty.

The most part she's going to believe what she's going to believe, that's part of being immature and also like I stated before the psychological part of having a chronic illness.
Part of that is blaming others as of right now she is blaming being dropped from Skey making her symptoms worse, reality it's her own View she just needs a blame, this is something that I know well because it is what my dad does.
The reason why she also places so many vents is because she needs it it, I do not know her true situation at home but neither does anyone else, you only get one side but what I've gathered, she says no one cares about her and her ailment, this is something I heard pretty regularly in my own home, and the truth of it is the either are doing their best for her or they know she's being overdramatic, perhaps a combination of both, I will admit posting vents pic can help to some extent, you can express your feelings and also get support, but one needs to be careful because it can end up becoming a very bad habit in seeking attention and drama, that never truly fixes the problem. Most of this they do not realize themselves and even when it's brought up to their attention they still will not see it.

When dealing with people with chronic illness, they have a tendency of lashing out when they don't get their way, be there to support them, but they have to remember there not the only person in the world with difficulties and it's not right to play with people sympathy.
Need to be there and support @Day in her trials, she still young and has a lot to learn, and like you said you can all way get what you want. That just how life is, if we like it or not.

That does make a lot of sense. It seems she has been venting to FaF more ever since her life situations worsened. I don't intend to encourage her ranting and getting her way, but I still want to coax and support her in hopes of guiding her the right way.
You can give her a message if you feel you need to, but I feel like that will only make her more upset, especially since it's supposedly out of the blue (she left the vent in FaF's chatroom) which means she'll think you're bullying her or were stalking her chatroom. I think it would be better if I said something instead since I'm a close friend.
Of course, Day's already satisfied her stress with her vent and has moved on to other thoughts, so I think it would be best that we don't bring it up at all. If she mentions it again, I can write her a message and post it here first.

Ah, I see... I figured you brought this up over her post about her ailments, but I see now...and your right I know she will or does view mean as a bully, because like I said before people in her condition have to have a blame, they have to have a bad guy.
(but if what I said to her was considered bullying, she going to have a hard time in life because she has no idea what bullying is)

You just need to be careful on your wording because please like that will take what they want and turn it into their own idea, out of the contents you truly meant. This whole situation is evident of that.

I saw the vents too and that Day doesn't exactly like me, mainly because I'm honest and tell everything as how it is. Day's what 13 years old? She has a lot of growing up to do and maturing, but if she vents again about Soledormirs Keys and certain members, I won't stay quiet anymore.

She's upset at you Shadow for taking her out of the roleplay, but I'm sure she'll forgive and forget if we give it some time. For now, I think we should stay quiet, but if she starts venting again, I'll come to you guys, figure out a message to write, then give it to her.

She is pretty young and inexperienced, but she will eventually learn that some things she does won't solve her problems. I think we can let this whole situation slide for now.

I was reading the conversation you guys had about two days ago, and I'd just like to say that @Lilly and @Shadow, you're doing an amazing job hosting an RP.

I absolutely love how you incorporate everyone's characters into the plot, to make sure that no one is left out. My first experience with an RP (TDS) went well, but slowly began to deteriorate when one person took hold of the plot, meaning that a lot of people were left out of the main action. You guys make sure that doesn't happen.

Next up is a female Chemist, and I've tweaked the color scheme a bit, making the variant's crystals a light purple instead, because the blue on the Vunrek Lore painting wasn't really glowy. What does your username mean, or why did you choose it?

I absolutely adore birds, songbirds to be exact. Turtle Doves are one of my favorites, so I chose that. The extra "e" was actually a mistake, but I became attached to the misspelling so I kept it as "TurtleeDove" ^-^

As for the question: I've always liked the name Lilly, it's been my favorite name for as long as I can remember. Lightstar is a name one of my friends came up with years ago when I needed help coming up with a team name in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. I put the two together, and voila, LillyLightstar! It has a nice ring to it, don't you think? :p

Mine was Pikaboo at first for the longest time, Pika because I was slightly obsessed with Pokemon when it first came out 20 years ago and boo was added on for playing multiplayer first-person shooters 007 for the 64, halo, Jet Force Gemini, games like that because I was a little stinker, and would go pikaboo I see you and kill how ever it was.
The Shadow part came from my dad because even thing he name has ether shadow or hunter in the name, and Pikaboo was taken already as a on line gamer tag so he put Shadow on mine name and I have been Shadowpikaboo ever since
