As the sun in early Sylyore rises, a bird-wolf mother had given birth to 3 little pups. One male among two females.
The mother was black but white markings, her yellow eyes gleaming brightly at her new family. The father went off hunting, he hasn't returned yet but she knows he will soon. It stares out of the den, waiting for him to return. The pups making their first whimpers, the male was as quiet as a mouse.

The mother looks to her pups. The daughters starting to climb on each other, leaving some feathers everywhere as they played slowly. The little black one was first born yet not moving, his eyes glaring at his mother with ears up curiously. His tail was wagging so he wasn't grumpy. //Hmmm... Something's different with him... I should come up with names but I wanted to wait for Talon.// Talon is her mate, he was a large grey and brown male with large ram horns along with huge wings. He had finally arrived. Landing just outside the den. He went into the hollowed greenwood tree and sniffed the pups. Talon looked at Aivra with concerned eyes after seeing BloodBack. "Can he walk?" He asked. She shrugged, looking in sorrow to her oldest pup.

Aivra nudged him with her snout. "Come on little guy. Why don't you do anything?" The pup turned his head. Little stumps on his head that would grow to antlers started glowing bright yellow and the mother and father both gasped. "W-what the?" Talon said. "T-that's not normal..." Aivra said, backing up.

The black pup got up and stretched. Blue eyes glaring at it's family. He walked up to his sisters and turned his head, then lowered his upper-body down, spreading his wings and wagging his tail.Though showing his playfulness, they didn't seem to care, his sisters cowered in fear. He looked to his parents who didn't care too much. Aivra nuzzled her pup. "I'm glad you're okay son." She said with tears of joy.

Talon set the dead Rii carcass he caught onto the ground near the male pup. He gave a bigger one he got to the sisters. "Eat up little ones." He said, not fully knowing how to be a father yet.

The female pups happily nibbled and the male wolfed it down like a crow. Aivra and Talon exchanged glances. "Crow?" Aivra asked. Talon nodded then turned to the female pups. "What about them?" Aivra sat, thinking for a while in silence. "Hmm..." Crow watched his parents curiously, licking his lips from the Rii.

Aivra finally suggests, "How about Orina and Nina?" Talon nods his head. "Sure." He said kind of awkwardly. The for male pups happily wagged their tails as they continued nibbling, ignoring their brother.

Little Crow stretched his large wings and yawned. He was very eager to go hunt for his first time already. "Momma! Daddy! I hunt? Pweeeeeze?!" They chuckled a bit. "You can go hunt with your father." said Aivra. "Alright bud. Come on." Talon said, getting up. He walked out of the den, Crow followed. The male adult bird wolf stretched his large brown-ish wings. His ram horns glimmering in the sunlight shining from the leaves. Crow did the same, mimicking his father. "Me s glide down son, if you start falling I'll catch you. It's best to start training you to hunt and fly now so you can escape danger and hunger." Crow nodded and they both glided down and landed.

Once they arrived to the hunting grounds Crow immediately spotted a Rii, he barked and it ran. "Hehe, not like that Crow. You need to sneak up on it." Talon said. Crow scowled at another Rii, "How do I do that daddy?" He asked. "You-" He turned to his pup, nothing there. "C-crow?!" He called out in worry. "CROW?!" Talon yelled out again followed by a large howl. Aivra's ears perked up. Talon spotted the humans, Crow in a cage with a mussel on whimpering loudly. The men pulling the cage, one glaring at Talon. The father charged at them, snarling. One shot a dragon root arrow at his shoulder. "Agh!!!" He yelped, jumping back. "Stay back beasty!" Another yelled as they hauled Crow off.

The sharp pain of the poisonous substance going into Talon's bloodstream caused him to fall over weakly. His final words before passing out were "I... Will find you..." The male wolfbird was out cold, the dragonroot working through his whole body to make him weaker and sicker. Some wolfbirds are immune to this vicious herb, Talon however is not. Aivra peeked out of the nest, she came out and covered the whole to the den with a large branch. "I'll be back girls. I'm gonna go find your father and brother." She said before flying off, the female birdwolf dodged the trees going to the training grounds quickly. She spotted unconscious Talon and her heart sunk, tears welling up as she landed. Aivra pulled the arrow out with her mouth and threw it before nudging him. "Talon. Talon please wake up!" She said in a mess of tears.

Talon was barely breathing, Aivra didn't leave his side except to grab the pups and keep them by her. "Talon...." Meanwhile the boat they had Crow on finally boarded. The men pulled a large ramp from the boat and pushed the cage down and onto the shoreline. Their boss had a small chat with them and then they brought his cage to a place with many other cages, a large field once they put a tarp over his cage they walked off. Crow twitched awake and looked around in the darkness whimpering. The mussel made his snout hurt and his antlers had covers so he couldn't jab them even though his antlers were very dull. //Where am I?...// He thought, shivering in fear.

Crow looked around, he saw a small tear on the tarp and peeked his blue eyes through. He could see the other cages. The men were coming bavck towards him and he backed up to the other side of the cage in fear. He had chained cuffs on his wings to prevent him from flying and the chains were attatched to the cieling of the large cage so he cant even squeeze out. He could still move around though. They pulled the tarp off and put a sign on his cage, Crow couldn't see what it said. The men then grabbed the bars and started pulling the cage into a large stadium looking building. Inside it was like a training arena for anything they captured. Some blood stained the walls, along with fur and scales. It seemed like a giant torture chamber. They rolled Crow to the middle, unlocked the cage and backed up. These men had different armor used in training. It had spikes and large plates on it to prevent them from being harmed.

Talon finally woke up weakly. Aivra smiled, still in tears. The pups ran up to him whimpering in sympathy. "Where is Crow?" She asked, Talon looked down in sorrow. "H-he's gone... The hunters took him." He said whimpering a bit while trying to at least sit up.

One worker opened the cage door and backed up again. They were testing his strength to see if he could break free from his chains. Crow sat there in fear, unaware of what they wanted him to do. From above on a balcony a voice called out. "Unlock the wings!" They commanded, the men nodded and two walked over and unlocked them. They also pulled the mussel off and walked back to their positions. Their concentrated glares struck fear into Crow's eyes, the little black pup slowly walked out still shaking like a leaf and whimpering. One man whipped the ground near him and Crow jumped back, another moved the cage away and they surrounded him.

They pulled out their swords, getting closer. One set a small tied up MoonDragon on the ground, it struggled to move. "Put it in the cage." One commanded, pointing his sword to a small cage in the circle they formed around Crow. The birdwolf pup saw the fear and terror in the little dragons eyes and refused by growling loudly at them. One slashed a sword at his back, making a small wound in between his wings, he yelped at the searing pain. The canine still refused, growling through the pain. //I will not be their puppet. I will be strong. I wont be weak. I will harm them when the time is right.// He kept thinking in his head.

Breathing heavily his antlers started glowing brighter. He winced at the agonising pain and growled more, turning slowly to see every one of their moves. One slashed his back again with a blade, making a second wound and making the other worse. Blood started dripping onto the tiled floor and stained his pitch black fur. Wincing and panting he continued turning. //Don't give in. Don't give in.// he thought.

The commander yelled out again. "Overwhelm the beast! He is too strong! Make it feel weak!" They nodded and surrounded him closer. "Put!" One said slashing his back, "The!" Another did the same, "Dragon!" They kept saying these one at a time slashing the poor thing's back. "In!", "The!", "Cage!" The last one said, slashing his tail. Crow yelped a lot, whimpering and crying from the horrible pain. He still stood strong with his bloody back the golden antlers on his head emitted a golden glowing aura that covered his body, he couldnt heal himself but could give himself more strength. The men backed up a bit in concern of their safety. //No. I wont. I will kill them. rip them to shreds.// he thought to himself. His eyes glowing a bright blue, the blood everywhere he stood there for a moment till he spread his wings that were drenched in blood and flew up high, he then dove down stabbing them, slashing and jabbing at them as he glided by like a bullet.

The men ran in terror and closed the door behind them as they left the arena. The commander angrily looked down at him. "You wont win!!!" He yelled, jumping down slamming a large spiky hammer into the ground. This man was huge, very muscular and very dangerous his eyes filled with rage. He swung the hammer around to intimidate Crow. "PUT THE DRAGON IN THE CAGE!" He yelled. Crow snarled, crash-landing into the man, his nose hit the floor hard causing it to break. He pulled out a sword and tore his wings enough for him to jump back in pain. His antlers glowing more bright the more he became injured. "You! Wont win!" The pup yelled. He seemed to have grown a bit from his ability to strengthen himself. He looked like a young adult already after one day.

//The beast can speak!?// He got up, wiping his nose from the blood. "That's it. SHOOT IT!" He yelled and men from the balcony jumped down and shot at him with dragon root arrows, Crow shot up into the air and dodged the arrows. He then dive bombed at the leader and grabbed him with his talons and paws. Flying back into the air and out of the roofless building, Crow dropped him into the ocean. He then screeched like a bird in victory and flew back in the stadium. "Your king is dead! Never go near my kind again!" The men stood in shock and anger they then went to the boats and all of them started searching for their king. No luck. They never returned either.

The humans that were not soldiers remained and the adult birdwolf got an idea. //What if I rule them? My parents don't need me. I'm somehow an adult now... Why not? It could be a nice lifestyle. This power of mine, what if I can turn the aura into a human shape and turn myself into the aura?// He thought in joy.

The bird wolf made his deer-like horns glow brightly to emit the light from earlier. It surrounded his body till he was literally made of it, he looked like a golden ghost with blue peircing eyes. This n he tried to change his shape, he seemed like a standing up wolf with wings, then observed some more humans. The birdwolf shifted to a full human form and turned into a normal looking human, his aura formed clothing around him and once he looked to his liking he walked out. The people looked curiously to him, they never saw him before. //I need a name... Hmmm... He thought for a moment, his back was horribly scarred from the swords so BloodBack popped into his head. Then he remembered his grandfather his parents told him about. Akibarin. Hmm... Ooh! Akbar BloodBack! Its perfect!// he thought to himself more.

As BloodBack earned their trust he was eventually their leader and protector. He found Kispateus, lost cold, hungry and homeless. He took them in as a father figure in his wolf form. Eventually he was known as a kind caring DragonHunter leader who loved his people and a loving father to Drake and Marma Styke. This was his story. Akbar Jorge BloodBack's tragic story led to a wonderful life. (Hope you enjoyed Crow's life in a nutshell!)
