Leaping at Ela, the white dragon fastened dagger-sharp teeth into her throat and tore through Ela's flesh. Her blood filled his mouth, leaving a horrible bitterness, but he refused to let go, determined to tear the life from her.

Raven's ears flicked the slightest bit at the sound of Ela dying and her eye twitched, desperate to open but lacking the energy. She tried to take a deep breath but it felt as if her lungs had shrunk, only letting in the smallest bit of air. /And so you fall, Elanceria Shousin.. Now do you know how it feels to come crashing down into the hands of death? You've tried to lead me to it but instead I have blinded you to the way out./ Her mind focused on the lingering presence of the queen, as if the dead body could hear her. A new, yet old and familiar voice spoke up, long forgotten by years of exile.. "I am sorry I cannot heal your wounds.." The Zeraxi managed to speak aloud, as if a muted bell had been allowed to ring. It barely seemed possible to have come from her, as her throat was dry and mouth full of blood. Still, she gave no sign of life otherwise. The bird pressed close to her head, unsure of what to do, how to think or how to feel.

The black pup got up and stretched. Blue eyes glaring at it's family. He walked up to his sisters and turned his head, then lowered his upper-body down, spreading his wings and wagging his tail.Though showing his playfulness, they didn't seem to care, his sisters cowered in fear. He looked to his parents who didn't care too much. Aivra nuzzled her pup. "I'm glad you're okay son." She said with tears of joy.

Talon set the dead Rii carcass he caught onto the ground near the male pup. He gave a bigger one he got to the sisters. "Eat up little ones." He said, not fully knowing how to be a father yet.

(Rohn would act differently depending on what the Zerana was doing. For instance, he is very protective of the Laybourn ruins he lives in, and saying that even though he's big he's probably not as big as a Zerana, he'd feel very challenged if one threatened to overtake his territory. Otherwise he most likely wouldn't care other than being a bit annoyed. If it came too close to him he'd fight it a bit to get it to back off. Velz that assist the dying are usually more welcoming to living beings, buuuut Rohn doesn't really care and just likes taunting people.
And btw, they're not confined to a spiritual realm. They do have physical forms, the only difference is some glowing and misty stuff.)

The female pups happily nibbled and the male wolfed it down like a crow. Aivra and Talon exchanged glances. "Crow?" Aivra asked. Talon nodded then turned to the female pups. "What about them?" Aivra sat, thinking for a while in silence. "Hmm..." Crow watched his parents curiously, licking his lips from the Rii.

Little Crow stretched his large wings and yawned. He was very eager to go hunt for his first time already. "Momma! Daddy! I hunt? Pweeeeeze?!" They chuckled a bit. "You can go hunt with your father." said Aivra. "Alright bud. Come on." Talon said, getting up. He walked out of the den, Crow followed. The male adult bird wolf stretched his large brown-ish wings. His ram horns glimmering in the sunlight shining from the leaves. Crow did the same, mimicking his father. "Me s glide down son, if you start falling I'll catch you. It's best to start training you to hunt and fly now so you can escape danger and hunger." Crow nodded and they both glided down and landed.

(Anyone still here? @wulfeh? I have a question! What are his abilities? And do you want him to be involved with Whisper, black shadow, Day or Tilarr? :0)

Yes, they are physical. Whenever they visit dying dreams their form becomes slightly diluted, just shrouded in mist with pupiless versions of their eyes and their medallions float in front of them and give off an eerie yet majestic glow. They don't tend to become attatched to any creatures, but in the rare instance a caring Velz assists a dying animal that is brought back to life they have the choice to become that animal's guardian. Otherwise the most they do in terms of watching over animals is being there while they are dying, whether to ease their pain or make it worse.
As for abilities they do vary but there is always the realm-warping. Their physical forms are strongest when in their primary realm, which for Rohn is my to-be-named place that houses the ruins of Laybourn. Rohn in particular has the power of white fire, which can easily cause damage physically but is even stronger in the dream-like realms/dreams in general. If a particularly evil Velz were to exist and have the power of white fire, it could cause deadly nightmares and be unstoppable. So really, white fire is verrryyyy dangerous :0
And idk who i want him to be involved with. Right now he's about to torment Raven as she dies but will appear physically after she is revived and everyone would be able to see him.)

Once they arrived to the hunting grounds Crow immediately spotted a Rii, he barked and it ran. "Hehe, not like that Crow. You need to sneak up on it." Talon said. Crow scowled at another Rii, "How do I do that daddy?" He asked. "You-" He turned to his pup, nothing there. "C-crow?!" He called out in worry. "CROW?!" Talon yelled out again followed by a large howl. Aivra's ears perked up. Talon spotted the humans, Crow in a cage with a mussel on whimpering loudly. The men pulling the cage, one glaring at Talon. The father charged at them, snarling. One shot a dragon root arrow at his shoulder. "Agh!!!" He yelped, jumping back. "Stay back beasty!" Another yelled as they hauled Crow off.

(I forgot to add that a less caring Velz (like Rohn) would be forced into a physical form after the animal is healed, and in the case of the guardians, it would be like the Elvira a bit, just that only the saved animal and anyone who knew about Velz would be able to see it.

The sharp pain of the poisonous substance going into Talon's bloodstream caused him to fall over weakly. His final words before passing out were "I... Will find you..." The male wolfbird was out cold, the dragonroot working through his whole body to make him weaker and sicker. Some wolfbirds are immune to this vicious herb, Talon however is not. Aivra peeked out of the nest, she came out and covered the whole to the den with a large branch. "I'll be back girls. I'm gonna go find your father and brother." She said before flying off, the female birdwolf dodged the trees going to the training grounds quickly. She spotted unconscious Talon and her heart sunk, tears welling up as she landed. Aivra pulled the arrow out with her mouth and threw it before nudging him. "Talon. Talon please wake up!" She said in a mess of tears.

Talon was barely breathing, Aivra didn't leave his side except to grab the pups and keep them by her. "Talon...." Meanwhile the boat they had Crow on finally boarded. The men pulled a large ramp from the boat and pushed the cage down and onto the shoreline. Their boss had a small chat with them and then they brought his cage to a place with many other cages, a large field once they put a tarp over his cage they walked off. Crow twitched awake and looked around in the darkness whimpering. The mussel made his snout hurt and his antlers had covers so he couldn't jab them even though his antlers were very dull. //Where am I?...// He thought, shivering in fear.

Crow looked around, he saw a small tear on the tarp and peeked his blue eyes through. He could see the other cages. The men were coming bavck towards him and he backed up to the other side of the cage in fear. He had chained cuffs on his wings to prevent him from flying and the chains were attatched to the cieling of the large cage so he cant even squeeze out. He could still move around though. They pulled the tarp off and put a sign on his cage, Crow couldn't see what it said. The men then grabbed the bars and started pulling the cage into a large stadium looking building. Inside it was like a training arena for anything they captured. Some blood stained the walls, along with fur and scales. It seemed like a giant torture chamber. They rolled Crow to the middle, unlocked the cage and backed up. These men had different armor used in training. It had spikes and large plates on it to prevent them from being harmed.

(Oh no, Crow :0 )

Talon finally woke up weakly. Aivra smiled, still in tears. The pups ran up to him whimpering in sympathy. "Where is Crow?" She asked, Talon looked down in sorrow. "H-he's gone... The hunters took him." He said whimpering a bit while trying to at least sit up.

One worker opened the cage door and backed up again. They were testing his strength to see if he could break free from his chains. Crow sat there in fear, unaware of what they wanted him to do. From above on a balcony a voice called out. "Unlock the wings!" They commanded, the men nodded and two walked over and unlocked them. They also pulled the mussel off and walked back to their positions. Their concentrated glares struck fear into Crow's eyes, the little black pup slowly walked out still shaking like a leaf and whimpering. One man whipped the ground near him and Crow jumped back, another moved the cage away and they surrounded him.

(You there? I assume your doing school now?)

They pulled out their swords, getting closer. One set a small tied up MoonDragon on the ground, it struggled to move. "Put it in the cage." One commanded, pointing his sword to a small cage in the circle they formed around Crow. The birdwolf pup saw the fear and terror in the little dragons eyes and refused by growling loudly at them. One slashed a sword at his back, making a small would in between his wings, he yelped at the searing pain. The kanine still refused, growling through the pain. //I will not be their puppet. I will be strong. I wont be weak. I will harm them when the time is right.// He kept thinking in his head.

Breathing heavily his antlers started glowing brighter. He winced at the agonising pain and growled more, turning slowly to see every one of their moves. One slashed his back again with a blade, making a second wound and making the other worse. Blood started dripping onto the tiled floor and stained his pitch black fur. Wincing and panting he continued turning. //Don't give in. Don't give in.// he thought.

The commander yelled out again. "Overwhelm the beast! He is too strong! Make it feel weak!" They nodded and surrounded him closer. "Put!" One said slashing his back, "The!" Another did the same, "Dragon!" They kept saying these one at a time slashing the poor thing's back. "In!", "The!", "Cage!" The last one said, slashing his tail. Crow yelped a lot, whimpering and crying from the horrible pain. He still stood strong with his bloody back the golden antlers on his head emitted a golden glowing aura that covered his body, he couldnt heal himself but could give himself more strength. The men backed up a bit in concern of their safety. //No. I wont. I will kill them. rip them to shreds.// he thought to himself. His eyes glowing a bright blue, the blood everywhere he stood there for a moment till he spread his wings that were drenched in blood and flew up high, he then dove down stabbing them, slashing and jabbing at them as he glided by like a bullet.

The men ran in terror and closed the door behind them as they left the arena. The commander angrily looked down at him. "You wont win!!!" He yelled, jumping down slamming a large spiky hammer into the ground. This man was huge, very muscular and very dangerous his eyes filled with rage. He swung the hammer around to intimidate Crow. "PUT THE DRAGON IN THE CAGE!" He yelled. Crow snarled, crash-landing into the man, his nose hit the floor hard causing it to break. He pulled out a sword and tore his wings enough for him to jump back in pain. His antlers glowing more bright the more he became injured. "You! Wont win!" The pup yelled. He seemed to have grown a bit from his ability to strengthen himself. He looked like a young adult already after one day.

He yelled and men from the balcony jumped down and shot at him with dragon root arrows, Crow shot up into the air and dodged the arrows. He then dive bombed at the leader and grabbed him with his talons and paws. Flying back into the air and out of the roofless building, Crow dropped him into the ocean. He then screeched like a bird in victory and flew back in the stadium. "Your king is dead! Never go near my kind again!" The men stood in shock and anger they then went to the boats and all of them started searching for their king. No luck. They never returned either.

The humans that were not soldiers remained and the adult birdwolf got an idea. //What if I rule them? My parents don't need me. I'm somehow an adult now... Why not? It could be a nice lifestyle. This power of mine, what if I can turn the aura into a human shape and turn myself into the aura?// He thought in joy.

The bird wolf made his deer-like horns glow brightly to emit the light from earlier. It surrounded his body till he was literally made of it, he looked like a golden ghost with blue peircing eyes. This n he tried to change his shape, he seemed like a standing up wolf with wings, then observed some more humans. The birdwolf shifted to a full human form and turned into a normal looking human, his aura formed clothing around him and once he looked to his liking he walked out. The people looked curiously to him, they never saw him before. //I need a name... Hmmm... He thought for a moment, his back was horribly scarred from the swords so BloodBack popped into his head. Then he remembered his grandfather his parents told him about. Akibarin. Hmm... Ooh! Akbar BloodBack! Its perfect!// he thought to himself more.

As BloodBack earned their trust he was eventually their leader and protector. He found Kispateus, lost cold, hungry and homeless. He took them in as a father figure in his wolf form. Eventually he was known as a kind caring DragonHunter leader who loved his people and a loving father to Drake and Marma Styke. This was his story. Akbar Jorge BloodBack's tragic story led to a wonderful life. Hope you enjoyed Crow's life in a nutshell!

(I'm gonna reply to alk real quick, the first time Rohn appears it is in Raven's dying dream, but I mean if you want you could make him able to see him. But after raven's healed then he would become physical because that's the rule when a an animal has that dream but is revived. Since it might take a while to heal Raven you could go ahead and let Arrow see Rohn, just remember that the form he'd see would be all diluted :0

He could do that, and while he could then turn to pester Arrow a bit, the most he'd be "allowed" to do is try throwing a bit of white fire at him, which would scare Raven even more.
One thing I'm just gonna add again to the species is that they have their own sort of rules, considering their main purpose is being there as someone is dying. The main rules are if you assist them and try to ease their pain and they are brought back, you have the choice to become their guardian similar to Elvira. If you taunt them and they are brought back, you must stay in a physical form until the animal can take some of the power from the medallion (though they cannot actually have the power themselves). And finally, if there are multiple dying/multiple seeing them in their misty form, they must choose who to focus on.

Obviously pizza dough. Tho generally we get it at willington pizza which is the best place to get it if you're ever in Connecticut. But you can make it at home. I don't know how they do such a good job tho. :0

A large, ghostly figure appeared a ways away from the dying canine. It was a large, snake-like dragon with massive, thick antlers circling around its face and two long tails curling behind it, one tipped with fur and another with spikes. Gold and gray stripes made their way down its back and ringed around its legs, the front of which possessed pointed hooves. Its eyes shone, one bright gold and the other more dull, and a large medallion floated in front of it, glowing with white fire. The beast made slow steps towards her, mist rolling around its feet as it opened up long jaws with dull teeth and a long, forked, golden tounge.
"Fall," it said slowly, with a deep tone that seemed to shake Raven's insides. Her eye was opened wide and reflected the golden light that eminated form the creature. She still did not breath, and it became harder to as the dragon came closer. /Does no one see it?!/ Her mind screamed.

Fixed on stealing the life from Ela, Coldfire failed to notice the queen's tailblade flash around until it had sunk into his ribcage and pierced his lung. His body jolted from the shock of the wound, but even then he refused to let go, instead furrowing his brows in endurance. Suddenly filled with fury, a surge of energy entered Coldfire and he thrashed his head, tearing a chunk of flesh from the dead dragoness. Heart pounding, he dropped the bloody flesh and took a step back, gazing wearily at Ela to ensure she was gone.

Chest heaving, Coldfire stumbled away from Ela's lifeless form, squeezing his eyes shut as the adrenaline vanished and the pain of his wounds kicked in. He coughed, blood welling in his left lung, then glanced at the forest wearily. //It's over, Giranja.... You don't have to worry anymore.//

"WHAT THE HECK DOES IT LOOK LIKE ARROW!" Riptide screamed Arrow blood came out and he stopped talking. "Oh don't worry they're just almost fatal wound" Arrow teased.
Suddenly Arrow notice a weird spirit talking over raven. "What..." He flew over to the strange spirit. "Hi there! Hmmm I know I'm technically only allowed to deal with my assigned soul but I can't help but notice you're stressing the girl out. Now you might be new to this whole thing but try to turn it down a notch.Ok?" Arrow babbled on for quite awhile.
"Arrow, what are you doing?" Riptide said annoyed now that he was talking over Raven's dead body.
(If you want Raven can see Arrow she's close to death right?)

The large shape lifted its head slightly, walking slowly towards Arrow. Being in charge of Raven, his steps were slowed as if he were bound to the chains that represented his kind's laws. Giving a deep growl he turned back to the Zeraxi, and said in a low voice again, "Do not pay attention to them. They want you alive but you were meant to die." His voice was very, very slow, but he did it with a purpose- slow the mind, however racing with tortured thoughts, until it stopped. Raven was just barely able to hear Arrow's remark and strained to listen, but her body would not let her.

Hearing a small commotion on one side of the clearing, Coldfire glanced over with unfocused eyes to see Giranja helping the others who had battled Ela before him. //I wonder if any of them died,// he mused numbly. //I guess I wouldn't have defeated the queen without more injuries if it hadn't been for their help.//

(*does random sassy jazz hands* /scoffs/)

"Oh I see you're one of those lazy spirits aren't you? Let them die so you can spend you're sweet old time." Arrow laughed "I knew a guy like you, the boss wasn't to happy with him, man he sent to document all the deaths." Arrow glanced at Raven's soul. "Poor poor girl, why would you give her so much pain?" Arrow had to attend to Riptide soon but before that he circled around Raven once as to calm her soul down. His long flowing hair seemed graceful and he made a warm glow before returning to Riptide.

Raven's eye closed slightly and her mind felt more relaxed. But still, the large serpent would not leave. His pupiless eyes blazed and he was tempted to summon some fire. Walking slowly around Raven, he whispered to the Elvira, his voice sounding like a chorus conducted by the din of fire. "Listen, creature.. You do not question the ways of us. I was not brought to this realm to bring somebody peace. If you wish to dance around those that are dying, find a different one of my kind." The medallion glowed intensely. "We all have our own ways," he growled.

(Riptide: He does that)
Riptide grumbled, "I've been sitting here listening to lunatics all day" His body ached all over, "Arrow also started to talk to magical pixie dog over there.."

(Arrow: dances in circles* LOOK @ ME GOOOOOOOO)

"Yes we do." Chuckled Arrow "but I don't wish suffering upon any creature." He smiled as he passed Rohn making is way towards Riptide. "Ok Riptide your going to be fine I'll help reduce the pain as Giranja fixes you. Ok?" Light started to emit from Arrow. "Eh" Riptide grunted but he soon started to feel a little less pain.

(Planning on heading to bed soon guys, I don't think it'll interfere with your stuff much cuz Coldfire's probably going to want to curl up for a little while anyway ;u;)

The Velz growled in return, making a small circle of white sparks around Raven to keep Arrow away. Angered, he watch Giranja touch the canine's leg and scoffed. "These people will not let me do my work." He crept in, getting close to Giranja's worried face. He knew she could not see him but he said to her, baring his teeth, "Step back and let me return to Laybourn. I only wish to sustain the law."

( @alk oh heck yeah. Especially since Rohn is one that prefers to just get it over with, Velz are only there to see them through, while Elvira are the ones trying to actually protect them. If a very caring Velz felt the dying body would be harmed, it would do its best to protect it tho.)

( @alk he's also really protective on the ruins and we'll just say that Sylyore is unique and it's hard for him to be able to watch over Laybourn as he's with Raven)

Arrow helped Riptide up, not bleeding anymore but the pain was still there and Arrow tried his best to comfort Riptide. "What do you say?" Arrow smiled kindly. "Thank you" Riptide said quietly.

(I'm having the awkward moment of, "should i wait to reply, or reply now?")

Raven twitched slightly, unsure of who had done what to her leg. Sensing a weak point, Rohn tapped the leg with his muzzle. Raven's eye opened slightly again, confused and scared. /Go away.../ she thought, the old voice taking over her mind. It sounded like a child. /Go away... Just leave me alone... Let me live.../ Her mind grew thicker, and she wasn't sure if her body was even alive at all.
"You're almost there," Rohn said, half taunting her.

"It is all good Giranja, Riptide can handle a few scratches" He shook her hand in gratitude.He looked sorrowfully at Raven "I cannot say the same for our friend here" He glared at Rohn in disappointment then turning back to Giranja "You wouldn't mind if we traveled together?" Arrow ask before Riptide had any say in the matter. "What! No! I can't travel with ice dude he hates me remember?" Riptide said immediately, he was trying to convince otherwise.

Rohn sighed, flicking the fluffier tail. "This is not working. Your soul is too strong, small creature," he scoffed slightly, and glancing at Arrow he flicked the fluffy tail against her leg, the golden fibers touching the blood for less than a fraction of a second. It did virtually nothing, and he the noticed the small bird resting his crested head against the canine's dark blue mane. Tilting his head slightly, he flicked the same tail tip against her head, then her chest. "We'll see, small creature. If you don't wake up...." He trailed off, looking back at the tail tipped with spikes.

"But I sort of don't like him either" Muttered Riptide at her remark.
Arrow watched as Rohn left. // She was too strong for you, reminds me of Riptide when he first died, restless.// He chuckled to himself before saying to Giranja. "I could help you with Coldfire's wounds, Just as long as there aren't any other spirits over him." He waited for her permission.

Raven shifted her head slightly, some of the weight coming off her chest. Rohn had sat down a distance from her, eyeing the others around him. His form was still diluted with mist, and the slowly turned his glowing eyes to the canine. "If you wake up I have to as well. Don't you want to just sleep forever?" A hint of fear snuck into the dragon's voice, as he did not want to have to show himself.

(Rohn: *looks disappointed, then down at the desk*

Sighing, Rohn took small steps forward, digging his sharp claws into the ground as if trying to hold himself back. His ears were laid back and, not caring to look at anything other than Raven's face, tried stroking her softly with the soft tail. /I'm not really allowed to do this,/ he thought, wondering what would happen to his beings if he truly broke the laws of his kind.

"Well then I'll ask him" Arrow said ready to walk over to Coldfire.

Riptide was just listening to their conversation. He over wandered to a nearby tree and sat by while Giranja and Arrow went to go attend more of the wounded.
