Claudiesa very early on exibited signs of dragon abilities, mainly fire breathing. She could expel an enormous amount of fire but had no control over how much she released. Word spread fast of a strong fire breather after a small forest was caught on fire near a town (Pellika aka her hometown).The man who would become her trainer heard word of the incident, having been traveling from town to town in search of a student, and his curiousity piqued, went staight to the town where word of the incident spread from. After figuring out who the fire breather was, he questioned her on the forest fire, if she was the cause of it, and was surprised at her simple but honest reply: "Yes." He picked her to be his student after that, which it's custom of all dragon knight trainers to go out in search for one young individual to train for 6 years in the dragon arts. Claudiesa was twelve at the time.

Claudiesa was put through intense breathing routines to help her to learn better control of her fire, on top of weapons practice and a form of hand to hand combat based around using ones claws.
Over time she grew to love him, considering him a surrogate father.
Months after finishing her 6th year of training she inlisted for a coming war.
Lined up in rows amongst other soldiers staring at the enemy force across the battlefield waiting, anxiety plagued her, this would be her first time fighting in a life or death situation.
She flinched slightly in surprise when someone wearing a dragon helmet came up behind her and whispered to her: "Fear will help keep you alive but Courage must keep hold of its reins."
Claudiesa felt relief at hearing the familiar voice of her trainer, who joined the line and stood next to her.

The battlefield was riddled with yells and screams and the clanging of weapons ringing through the air.

Claudiesa stood silent watching the sun setting over the wartorn battlefield holding her trainers helm.
Layle (pronounced: L-ai-l) her trainer, took a mortal blow that was aimed at her. In a desperate act to save her, he interposed himself between her and the enemy.
Claudiesa doesn't really remember what happened after that, all she does recall was feeling seething rage at the one who harmed him.
It was then that she turned in to her dragon form and thus the destruction she caused, that landed her the nickname "Render".
As the enemy forces began to retreat, and dragon knights began to push and chase the enemy further, Claudiesa lingered behind and went to where her trainer was.
She knelt down next to him tears beginning to streak down her face, eyes shut.
Her eyes shot open when she felt a hand touch her face.
Layle reached up at her, then with a shaking hand pulled at his small dagger with difficulty. Claudiesa pulled it lose and placed it in his shaking hand.

Layle reached up with the small dagger and gave a small cut on her cheek.
At first she had the urge to pull away but then realized what he was doing. After he finished he placed the dagger in her hand shakily.
Claudiesa nodded in understanding and leaned in close to undo the helmet he wore, revealing his face.
She gave him a similar cut on the cheek.
He gave her a weak but reassured smile.
She gave a grief filled smile back.
It was an ancient vepurian tradition to share scars with loved ones.

As the sun finally dipped below the horizon, she put on the helm she was holding.

The symbols on her shoulder plates is her trainer's crest.
Each dragon knight trainer has a identifiable crest that is specific to them. They give their crest to each student that completes all of their training.
It lets others know who trained you and acts kind of like credentials.

Re; Yup! It seemed to have taken that route. xD And same! It reminded me of some of the supports when one character is a bad cook or something.
