Darkstalkers is one of Capcom's lesser-known fighting game series. Some people call it "Street Fighter: Halloween Edition", but it's actually different. A lot of innovations Capcom made in its fighting games started within Darkstalkers.
The characters are all based on classic movie monsters and monster myths in general. You've got your vampire, your zombie, and your werewolf, but you also have a merman, a jiangshi, and even a succubus (who sort of hijacked the main character position from the vampire). It's a pretty silly and fun game series.
