Cat
Puff, puff
What is it that I hear?
Rustle, rustle
I hear eerie scratches with my ear
It gets closer as I stand
I stand silent
Bat in hand
Until it pounces
On my lap
Then I realize
It's just my cat

Snow

The ground is covered
In an endless blanket of white
The trees have been showered
With millions of delicate crystals
The house on the hill
Is full of joy
As the children run out to play
On their sleds and skis
Dressed in cuddly clothes

Spring

The songbirds are chirping
Their sweet little songs
The bear is creeping out of his cave
From his long winter slumber
The squirrels are chittering and chattering
The rabbit babies have arrived
The sun is coming out
The clouds move away for now
The butterflies are coming back
The hummingbirds sip nectar
The bees are pollinating
The trees are growing once again
Rosebuds are sprouting
And everyone
Is joyful

Ocean

Underneath that blue sheet
That stretches from island to island
Is a community of wonder
Where fish swim all day
Where sharks nom all night
But it's okay, they're harmless
But they give me a little fright
Where sea turtles dance
Where whales and dolphins play
They all look so graceful
I will surely say
Where seagulls laugh
And pelicans giggle
Where octopuses hide
And anenomes tickle
Where barnacles stay put
And seaweed and kelp are growing
Where lobsters and shrimp run around
And where crabs are showing (off)
You see, there is so much
Underneath that great blue sheet

Where we are always looking over
And yes, there is time to eat.

(I dunno I couldn't think of anything else that rhymed)

Struggle

Bang bang
I hear it coming
Boom boom
It screams, and I am running
Scratch scratch
On the wall
Tip toe down the hall
I keep running
I don't stop
My mouth is full of throw up
I swallow it, slightly gagging
I try and run from the evil
That begins to lurk behind me
I keep running
I don't stop
Til I reach the end of the hall
The long one, the big one
Then I get a phone call
Seriously?
Bruh this is the worst time
I ignore it, throw my phone
I keep tryna make this rhyme
It is hard cuz currently
I am definitely thinking
Of something chaotic
But it's hard to create a topic
In my crazy thought-filled head
It tries to make me think of cats instead
I know it's hard
But soon I'll see
What it's like
Wait..
OMG IT'S A BEE

"Stupid". NOT AT ALL! These are great! Especially the humor in some of them! Wonderful job!

School

An area where kids
Big and small
Come to learn
To laugh
And to play
But for most of the day
We come to be stuck
In a classroom
And the only thing we have
All to ourselves
Are our notebooks and brains

Recess

The children file out
Of their stuffy classrooms
Out in the wilderness
That we call outside
Screams of children fill the air
Because of the bee that's folllowing them
All the bee wants to ask
Is if they like jazz

Dog

Sit, stay, good boy
Good boy, sit, stay
Ruff ruff
Bark bark
Woof woof
Bork bork
Om nom

Beach

A place of tranquility
A calming area
The waves are crashing on the rocks
The seagulls are laughing
And children filled with glee
Running around on the warm sand
That blankets the ground beneath me
Teensy minnows swimming close to the shore
I scoop one up in my hands
It seems relaxed
I put it back and sit on the sand
I watch over the horizon
Staring at the cruise ship over yonder
And the speedboats zooming through the water
I look above
In the great blue sky
And watch puffy clouds slowly move past
I look to my left
And see a tiny crab
Scuttling across the sand
I walk into the water
The seafoam tickles my feet
I sit in shallow water
And stare out at the sea once again

The Life of Pompom

Out from an egg I hatch
With a big fluffy brother to match
Staring at a purple fluff
And I see Mama grabbing her stuff
Where is she going?
I don't know.
Where is she off to?
Nothing reveals, nothing will show
The three of us sit
In a big comfy nest
Filled with sticks and colorful feathers
My sister is beginning to rest
Papa stood still
Papa seemed merry
To stare at our newborn faces
In his wing was a cherry
He popped it in his mouth
And then started to cry
We sat there confused
We didn't know why!
I looked to my right
To see the coop ablaze
With wooden planks falling
Fire bursting round, phase by phase
Papa was carrying the nest
He put it by a fence
He cried out,
Later this will all make sense (to you)
Papa ran fast as lightning
Right into the smoke
The three of us stood there crying
And none of us spoke
We didn't see Papa come out
We didn't see no sign of life
We didn't see any Mama,
His lovely, loving wife
All of us were lucky
To have made it out alive

Thanks to Papa who saved us
All three of our lives
Later that evening
We begin to worry lots
Nobody came to help us
Then we hear the sounds of pots
Loud crashing and clanking
From those crazy metal things
"Clink, clink, clank, clank,"
And a lot of "TINGS!"
We all huddled up
And stared at the forth egg beside us
It was scorched, it was burned
It should've tossed
It should've turned
But there was no movement
That came from that egg
But something was stickin' out of it,
A tiny, fluffy leg
A navy blue one
With pale blue talons
It was sorta burnt
With black soot and debris
She was gone
As we had now learnt'
We hear more crashing
And loud clanking
And then we see a figure
On the ground, in the soft grass
Doin' some sort of... planking?
She stood up
And brushed dust off
Of her pale yellow feathers
She stared hard at Gracie
Then said,
"So, how's the weather?"
We ignored the new chicken
And the lost egg
I looked at the daisies
That I had just finished pickin'
This new pale feathered chicken

Scooped us up with glee
She then took us inside of
A hole in a giant oak tree
She put us down
On a blanket
On a big white couch
She then tried to pick some dirt out
Of Floof's feathers
As he said, "Ouch!"
This weird chicken lady finished
Me and Gracie, too
She gave us lots of hugs and cookies
And a little kazoo
I still keep that wooden kazoo
To this very day
And sometimes I still play it
But for now it's locked away
Anywho back to my life
Before I get sidetracked (again)
There is still so much to tell
So let's get back on track
Many months later
The chicken lady set us free
We never got to learn her name
But supposedly it was "Bree"
It was time to leave the nest
And to have some fun
I still remember my first meal away from home
A hot, fresh, sesame seed bun
We were ready
For the big wide world
Then I see a handsome fluff
He had his feathers curled
I waddled over to him
I asked him what his name was
He was shy
But he was kind
And said his name was Miles

I asked him what that was short for
He smiled and said with glee,
"My regular name is Milo,
but my friends call me Miles, you see."
I blushed and told him my name
That my name was Pompom
He smiled and gifted me a treat -
A piece of cornbread
And I surely went "om nom"!
We talked for a while
Then I gave him a kiss
He blushed bashfully
We waved goodbye
And he said, "You are one I will miss!"
The next day we met again
We decided to make it official
We decided we'd be together
Pompom and Milo, Milo and Pompom
But first I had to meet his Dad and Mom.
So I did, it went great
His mother was so supportive
His dad gave him an approving look
I thought he'd be more assertive...
Many more months had went by
And then Milo decided
It was time to pop the question
No more being shy!
He bought a ring, a very nice one
One with a blue diamond
We went to the park the next day
I decided to eat a lime-ond
When I was done
Milo put
A pretty rose in my feathers
He kneeled down
Asked the question

His blue bowtie made of leather
I said yes gleefully
He gave me the ring
It was so beautiful
I put it on my wing
Everyone around us
Was clapping and cheering
What would I do for my dress?
Was the only thing I was fearing
A whole month later
I bought a nice dress
Gracie would be the flower girl
Thank goodness hers costed less! (phew)
A few months later
It was time
For the ceremony
The venue looked so official
Definitely not a phony!
Milo stood waiting
He was nervous
I walked down the aisle
Carrying my rose bouquet
Gracie tossing rose petals with a smile
It was a huge big day
And I was filled with pride
We said our vows
Then Floof said
"You may now kiss the bride"
And so we did
And I smiled
A goofy-looking smile
The reception was a blast
It was all worth the while
All the guests gave me a gift
They did the same for Milo
That night we slept nice and comfy
We were tired, so everythin' was in a pile-o.
A few days later
We decided
We wanted to continue the chain
Of ultra-fluffy chickens

Takin' a ride down baby lane
So we did
And a week later
I found we had some kids!
A couple more weeks pass by
And I lay some eggs
Two of them, just as predicted
"Just hatch already,"
Milo begs
But we are still waitin'
On those cute babies
They should hatch in a week or two
I'm very impatient
But I'm waiting, yes I am
I'll soon be a mother of two
