The pattern I can do a lay out for, if you need, but its the same on both sides. Though it is complex.
The smoke can be as solid, or as opac and detailed as they want, but it still has smoky/cloudy edges.

btw, the ears are NOT the same in both form, the human form has more natural Fallow deer ears. Wilst the deer form has the patterned Cervonian ears.
#BEsCervonia < don't have to use it for every picture you draw of her, just the first of both forms.

For the hair, could he have one side buzzed (Not all the way, just short x3) And the other side is long-ish and pulled back over his head? So he can have bangs, but he always brushes them back. If you can picture that. I can always draw it on him later if you don't wanna try to draw that crazy mess lol xD
