The Aritian Army Presses On by Witzke

Marth presses on with the Aritian army close behind him. After making it past the Devil's Pass, Marth looks toward the sun. It shines brightly, filling him with the courage and strength to continue their long treck towards freedom.

Hi everyone! This is another fanart drawing for the original Fire Emblem game starring Prince Marth. A couple of years ago I drew a pic of Marth, but, it aged rather quickly, and, doesn't look too good. So now I decided to revisit the concept and make a proper drawing he deserves.

By far, Marth is my favorite Fire Emblem character. Marth is most known for his appearance in Smash, but there's an entirely different Marth that most Fire Emblem fans don't get to see! Fire Emblem Mystery of the Emblem (An SNES game featuring the first game remade and a sequel story) features Marth as he fights the evil Mediuth. The Music is fantastic, the visuals are pretty good, and the story and characters are incredible in my opinion. The gameplay has aged a bit though, compared to newer games, but personally, I like this better. (More in comments since I maxed the desc XD) Well, I hope you all enjoyed! : D

(Cont.) In newer games, you have a lot of simplifiers. It makes these games a lot easier. It tells you where enemies can go, how much damage you can do, etc. And with all of the new maps, paralogues, dlc and many ways to earn experience. Its not that these are bad. It makes things easier for people to start out and who like it that way better. But in this game, you have to calculate thinfs yourself and make your own decisions. Now, to some, this may sound annoying or too much of a hassle (And yes, it does take more time too) but it for me, it made me REALLY feel like a Tactician! Every decision counted, and it made it feel like a real challenge, a real battle. And it made winning feel EVEN better!

It also could get hard at times, but it never felt impossible, or like cheap difficulty. It made you have to really think it out, much more than I ever had in a Fire Emblem game before. And it has TWO games in it (for the price of one!) Beating bithfelt fantastic!

(cont.) I could talk about why I love this game for even longer, but I think I'll stop here xD This game isn't for everyone, and A lot of people may not get the same experience that I did. But, to anyone looking for a great story, a good stratgey, a test of making the right choices, and have an SNES athand, I really think you should try it sometime. It feels good to talk about this game more in depth finally XD

(Forgot to mention this, but there is also a 2 episode animation of the first game. Sadly, itonly lasted 2 episodes, but it further expanded the characters and levels that it did show)

Isn't it the Altean kingdom or something? Idk, I'm just going on my knowledge of Shadow Dragon.

Marth is my favorite fictional character of all time. You did great with this!
He's just a pretty interesting character that more people should get to know. He'a a really kind and humble character that endured many hardships. He lost everything and escaped with his life and a few of his most trusted allies, but overtime his small band of Altean Knights gained more allies and became larger until he could finally take back Altea and Archanea and reclaim Falchion to defeat Medeus.

Have you try Fire Emblem Heroes app? It was on iPhone and Android. Good work on drawing this.

That's one happy backround pegasus!

It'll be interesting to see how they handle Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. Keeping the old style of gameplay, but making a few balance and modern quality-of-life adjustments would really make it shine!

[RE] I'm sure with any correct arrangement, you could reclass a unit from Dancer to Basara. It's usually a personal class, that seems obscure from the others, such as Felicia having a Mercenary subclass. Or there's the option of marriage, but it's a child unit so...

Re: I'm hoping it does well enough for another "Echoes"-subtitled remake. I've only played Awakening, but I know there are some pretty interesting games in the series that I'd gladly pick up if they were slightly modernized and re-released.
