*Update?: woAG my heart is actually melting i can't believe i got lots of likes and comments in such a short amount of time! My expectations was to get something like 5 likes and 2 comments so I was overwhelmed

Tbh just mess around as much as you can with shading, you'll eventually get all kinds of things down.
On the cucco pic, I added the blues for two reasons:
-Shadows tend to be cooler colors (though, in some cases, they're warm colors)
and
-To put a little contrast in the pic since it has a looot of red.
Purple kecleon's "How I See Color: A Tutorial" on DeviantART is a good thing to check out :o
