Love it. The pallette is gorgeous, the way you achieved the weathered effect on his skin is great. Even the stripey background looks cool, very graphic designy. I think this is my new favourite of yours!

@Splotch: Portraits? Yeah, a different landscape... of sorts. Faces are good when I think my shape observation has gone a little sloppy. Hard to tell when painting nature on location too much. The switch has certainly showed I have become a little slack. :)
