The Guardians were thought to have gone extinct, but Slate and Tobias are the only guardians left, but they're both unaware that they are Guardians.

Despite the name, their own kind and humankind came together to wipe them out, for the fear of their dangerous power, size and nature.

Guardians originally protected their kind from threats, but as time went on, those threats dwindled and Guardians had a deep blood lust. If they didn't get enough blood while in this form, they'd resort to eating anything within arms reach that had blood, friends, family or just innocent lives. They'd devour them until their blood lust was satisfied.

A Guardian can't willingly shift to this form, it takes their life being in peril for them to shift. The Guardian form is stronger than their dragon form.
