Imitating an actual laser is rather challenging. But a charged particle beam maybe the most easily achieved. Depending on what kind of charge particle. Here's a request/challenge or whatever you wanna call it. Have a space ship.(Doesn't have to be big. It can be any size you like. Because it is easier if you are new to space ship making.) And the ship is equipped with a charged particle beam.(Most likely a beam of symmetrical particles. Kind of like photons. But the particles may instead have mass. Or you can make it a FTL charged particle beam. Such as a Tachyon beam. Just some ideas. Or you can not name it all too. You don't have to do this if you don't want to btw.

Beautiful!, you should do this, but with a gradient of white to a nother color. I would put the color at the larger burst.
