(Radiant) Eh, pretty okay. I've been staying at my nana's house while I get a new bed in my bedroom, so that's been fun. I've also been playing Pokemon Go a lot because of the new Gen 2 update and I love it so much now ;w;

(King) Sounds pretty fun! I've never played Pokemon Go, in fact I don't play Pokemon at all. XD

I think the only person who isn't joining today is Draco-Felis, since as she hasn't made a ref yet.

How do you guys feel about starting now? The others can jump in when they get here, I doubt we'll be doing anything important by then anyway.

@Radiant that's fine with me. Ultimately, it's up to you.

Starting now will be okay with me, but I'll be a bit here and there with replying (I'll be checking comments on my phone as I draw my second OC so I know when to come back ;w;)

The city of Shacklestone was usually quiet in the evenings. Most people never ventured outside their homes once darkness fell, for fear of what might be lurking, waiting for them in the streets.

As seven PM came and went, Crowley slipped out of the tiny apartment he shared with a few other dragon shapeshifters and, hastily retying his scarf around his neck, set off towards the local bar.

Outside the bar, lent (sp?) against a part of wall in between two windows, stood the local immortal 'weirdo', Mortikai. A bottle in hand and his signature coat and top hat strewn across the back of an outside chair, he raises a hand in greeting to the dragon shifter.

{Under a streetlight, Jeremiah stands and lights a cigarrete, illuminating his face. As he extinguishes the match, he walks down the street. //It was a night like this one, wasn't it? It's been six months and no real lead. Maybe she will know something.//

{In a dark street, Dianne locks up her store, and begins walking. //Nothing but scared humans buying cures again today. Maybe I'll use the extra money to treat myself.//

(Hey Kole! The rest of us are all on DS, so it might be more convenient if you are too. But if you'd prefer to use browser comments then it won't be a problem.)

Crowley paused, one foot about to enter the bar, as he spotted the movement of Mortikai's hand out of the corner of his eye. He smirked and turned to face him fully.
'Heeey, it's you. I've heard a lot about you.' He stepped closer and casually offered a hand to shake. 'But I don't think we've met before.'

Out on the streets, a nervous-looking human boy with flame-red hair was walking, keeping as close to the streetlights as he could. //Shouldn't be out this late, shouldn't be out this late,// he told himself repeatedly. But his home wasn't far away. Abruptly, he froze as he spotted the brief flare of a cigarette up ahead.
'Wh-who's there?' he whispered, his voice thin and wavering.

(Kole: The current limit is 3 per person, but I might raise it since as there aren't many of us.)

(Sorry if I'm slow, I got a lot of things to reply to.)

"Heh, yep, t'is I. Name's Mortikai, but you probably already knew that."
He replies, his strange mix of language a tad unsettling. Putting the bottle on the table in front of him, he turns to take Crowley's hand and shakes it.

(Kole)

Ivy was just leaving the local supermarket on her way home when she noticed Asher walking nearby. She contemplated whether or not to call out to hi, knowing he could potentially be a dangerous non-human monster, but after a bit of deliberation decided it was safe enough.
'Hey! Who walks around at THIS time? Except me, of course?'

*him not hi

(King)

'Mortikai? Heh, I'll remember that. Weird name,' Crowley commented, shaking hands before letting go quite quickly. 'Mine's Crowley Lockwood, but most people just call me Lee.'

(Radiant)

"Well, I'd have the mind to say that Crowley's a weird name, but I'm nice, so I won't."
Chuckling lightly, he puts a hand in his trouser pocket.
"Nice to meet y' Lee."

(Kole)

'Oh, really?' said Ivy, crossing the few feet of distance between them and looking directly into Asher's eyes. He certainly looked normal enough to her. No weird-coloured eyes or wings or a tail. 'I was worried for a second... I thought maybe you were some kind of terrifying monster.' She smirked slightly.

(King)

'Nice to meet you too, I guess,' said Lee carelessly, playing with the end of his white scarf as he spoke. 'So, how many of the creepy rumours about you are actually true? Do you have awesome magical powers? Are you a shapeshifter?'

{Jeremiah stops when he hears Sheldon. Turning, he sees the boy looking very petrified.}"I'm just another person going about their business." {Scrutinizing Sheldon, Jeremiah takes a step towards him to get a better look.}"Are you ok?"

Dianne walks through the door of the bar where Crowley and Mortekai (sp?) are. Walking right past them, she adjusts her glasses and sits at the bar.}

(Aggron)

Sheldon relaxed fractionally when he saw that Jeremiah seemed to be nothing more than a normal human, but still hesitated before he replied, 'Uhm. Yes, I'm OK. I-I just thought, for a second...' He trailed off, his eyes nervously glancing around the dark street to make sure nobody else was there.

"'Creepy rumors'?"
With a laugh, he smirks a little at the dragon shifter as a dark mass evelopes him, receding just as quickly as it came, leaving a housecat in his place. He jumps up onto the table, careful to not knock his bottle.
"Eh, I can see how you'd think that's a bit creepy. But yes, I'm a shapeshifter. I was sort of hoping for a lion there."
He says with another slight laugh.

(Kole)

'Weeell, now that I'm looking at you properly...' Ivy reached out and took Asher's outstretched hand without hesitation, shaking it firmly. 'You're actually quite handsome. I can't believe I mistook someone as nice as you for a monster! Oh, and I'm Ivy. Pretty name, don't you think?'

( @Aggron Mortikai, but I don't mind ^^)

{Jeremiah gets a little closer, still unsure about Sheldon. //Jeeze, this kid looks absolutely horrified by just being outside. Assuming he's a "kid" at all.//}"What exactly did you think I was? And what exactly are you doing out this late?"

(King)

Crowley let out a harsh cackling laugh. 'A shapeshifter who turns into a housecat... Yeah, really impressive, dude. But I guess it's better than nothing.' He then took advantage of Mortikai being in cat form to steal his bottle and take a quick sip from it.

(Aggron)

'Uhmmm...' Sheldon looked down and scuffed the toe of his shoe along the ground, his messy hair hiding most of his face. 'I, well, you could have been something nasty. Like a monster. A-and I'm just on my way home, that's all!' He said the last bit in a slightly panicked tone, thinking Jeremiah was going to suspect him of being a monster himself.

(Kole)

Ivy shrugged and smiled. 'I work part-time in the supermarket just around the corner. Nice place to work, but unfortunately it /does/ mean I always have to walk home in the dark.' She let her gaze wander up and down the street, briefly lost in thought. 'Though nothing's happened to me yet.'

(Here! Sorry I'm late, I spent all night working on my new dragon, I just woke up a little bit ago. Did I miss much?)

"Hey!"
He growls, tail flicking in annoyance. <I wish I actually could've went into the lion...or at least the bengal.> he thinks, ears angling backwards as he glares at the dragon shifter.

(Blood: Hey there! And no you didn't, all our characters are just walking around and bumping into each other. XD You can read what we've done so far.)

{Jeremiah chuckles at that remark about monsters.}"So, you bought into that too, huh? Tell me, would you consider the words 'non-human' and 'monster' to be synonyms?"

(King)

Crowley grinned at the shapeshifter's obvious annoyance. He skipped backwards, deliberately holding the bottle out of reach. 'It's all mine noooow--' he started, then paused and looked around, distracted as he noticed Dianne inside the bar. 'Huh, she looks creepy.'

(Okay, I'll just find somewhere to slap Finy in...hmmm)

(Aggron)

'Wh-what....?' Sheldon was too unnerved by the whole situation to pay much attention to what Jeremiah was saying. 'W-well, maybe there are /some/ non-humans who aren't monsters. I mean, they can't /all/ be evil, can they...?'

(Hi Kole)

Finy was wandering the streets late at night, he'd spent most of the day trying to get a job, but people didn't like his white hair, they assumed him to be sickly and not much use. Which left him in a foul mood as he walked, turning a corner is when he noticed Ivy and Asher, he rolled his eyes assuming they were a couple just out at night, doing weird couple things.

{Dianne turns around and looks when she hears Crowley antagonizing Morty ( @King Is it ok if I call him that?).}

Ivy managed to stop herself laughing out loud with delight, but still grinned and nodded enthusiastically. /What are the chances?! I leave work and bump right into a handsome stranger who offers to walk me home.../
She let out a dreamy sigh then, realising she hadn't replied to Asher, quickly said, 'Oh, that would be lovely of you! If it's no trouble, of course.'

He takes the moment of distraction to jump off the table and shift back, gently taking his bottle back. Glancing inside, he spots Dianne.
"Who, her? Eh, she looks fine to me."
Mortikai says with a shrug.

{Jeremiah smiles and chuckles some more.}"Well, they're sentient, just like us humans. Therefore, they have free will as well. And so far, only one has been bold enough to openly kill. That has to mean something about their own morality, right? I'm not saying to trust everyone you meet, just be as careful as you can be. Anyway, I've got somewhere to be, and you've got to get home, so I won't take up any more of your time."

(King)

Crowley glanced back just in time to make a futile grab for the bottle of drink, but couldn't reach. Giving up, he peered through the bar window to observe Dianne more closely. 'I bet she's not human either,' he remarked. 'Hey, wanna go inside? I came to get a drink anyway.'

{Dianne turns back to her drink, muttering to herself.}"Drunks."

(Kole)

Ivy stared happily up at Asher. 'Yes, of cour--' she began, then noticed where he was looking and turned to follow his gaze. 'Ooh, do you know him? He looks a bit strange...'

Finy noticed Asher spot him, //So at least one of them have sharp senses// he sticks his hands in his coat's pocket and walks closer to them, "Good evening" he greets politely, "What are you two doing out so late?"

(Aggron)

Sheldon paused, looking confused. 'I know that, b-but what if we've been wrong about them all this time?' Then he shook his head. 'No, no, ignore me. I'm just being stupid. I'm sure you're right and not all of them are bad, I just... get scared easily...' A leaf rustled behind him and he jumped, head whipping around to see what it was.

(Kole)

Ivy stayed close to Asher's side and watched Finy attentively, but for once, she opted not to speak just yet.

(Radiant)

"Well, you could say that about a lot of people here...but yeah, sure!"
He smiles a little, picking up his hat and coat while swishing the bottle.
"I could do with another."

Finy scowled at that, "Seriously? Why does it seem like I'm the only one who can't get a job in this sh.it hole?" he sighs and grits his teeth a little

Crowley eyed the huge top hat for a second as if he'd never seen one before, then shrugged and stepped through the doorway into the warm building. Heading towards the bartender, he replied to Mortikai, 'Well, yeah, but most of the people who aren't human make an effort to hide it. Some people, on the other hand... You just know at first glance that there's something weird about them.'

(Blood)

Ivy snickered under her breath at Finy's small outburst, just loudly enough to be noticed.

{Jeremiah throws the butt of his cigarette and steps on it.}"Not very confident in yourself, are you? Well, I make decisions and create perspectives based on facts. And right now, the facts apparent to me are that humans and non-humans have lived together for a very long time and haven't declared war on each other for the entirety of that time. Unless you know something I don't, I think we'll be ok and this tension between races will pass."

Finy was about to respond to Asher when he heard Ivy's snicker, "What's so damn funny?" he snarls, balling his hands into fists.

(Aggron)

Sheldon sighed quietly, his eyes following Jeremiah's cigarette. 'Th-that murder six months ago... it wasn't what caused me to be afraid of the non-humans. I've never been... very comfortable around them. It's hard to explain. Maybe I'm just pathetic. Wait, I /know/ I'm pathetic.'

(Blood)

'Really now, that's no way to talk to a beautiful girl,' Ivy reprimanded Finy. 'It's just, well... Are you honestly surprised that you can't get a job with an attitude like that?'

(Radiant)

"I suppose. There's always some."
As they near the bar, Mortikai pulls a stool out a little to place his coat and hat on, then puts the bottle down on the counter, nodding slightly to the bartender.

(Tochi's here now, just so you know. Also you can delete this comment if it's interrupting XD)

(King)

Crowley hopped up onto the stool beside Mortikai and beckoned the bartender over. 'I'll have the usual,' he said, then turned back to Morty. 'Kinda like you, don't ya think? I mean, you're not really trying to make yourself unnoticed here. You couldn't be any more conspicuous.' He smirked, looking at the top hat again.

Finy ignored Ivy's last comment, "Beautiful girl? What? Where? I don't see any beautiful women anywhere" he grins at Ivy, "But please let me know if you spot any, I could use some good company"

(Draco: OK, if you wanna join you can read what we've been doing and jump in.)

{Jeremiah crosses his arms.}"Well, Xenophobia isn't uncommon among our species. In fact, it appears to be a psychological defense mechanism for some. But believing that one is 'pathetic' is borderline detrimental to one's health. What makes you have that view on yourself?"

(Blood)

Ivy practically swelled up with fury. 'You--' she hissed, taking a step forwards as if considering jumping at Finy and trying to strangle him.

(Aggron)

Sheldon looked at the ground, avoiding Jeremiah's eyes. 'I-I...' he stammered. 'Because it's the /truth!/ I'm pathetic, everyone tells me I am. I'm scared of the non-humans even though they've never actually hurt me - and I can't do anything right! Tell me that /isn't/ pathetic, hmm?'

Finy nodded, smirking at Ivy, "Yeah why don't you do that? Before the little baby here gets hurt" he says it in a mocking tone.

{Dianne glances sideways at Morty and Crowley, then at the door. //Where is he? It's not like him to be late.//}

(Alright, here I come-)

Tochi walked quickly down the street, her hands stuffed in the pockets of a pale green jacket. She glanced uneasily behind her back every so often.

Ivy ground her teeth, torn between walking away with Asher and throwing herself at Finy. 'And /what,/ exactly, makes you think it's OK to talk to people like that?' she growled. 'No wonder nobody will hire you - I've never met someone with worse manners. Were your parents pigs, by any chance?'

Finy scowls at Ivy, "I can talk to rats like you however I want, but I'd be careful how you talk to me and how you talk about my family, you little vermin" he snarls, his teeth turning into fangs. He ignores Asher and moves around him, getting in Ivy's face.

(Radiant)

Mortikai places a couple notes on the counter as the bartender comes back with their drinks, sliding a glass at Mortikai. He gives them a look, but pours some out of his fresh bottle.
"Eh, that's just me. I don't really care if people see me and go 'Woah! That guy! He's so weird!'. If I'm honest, I sorta like the publicity. Even though it's mostly kids that want to pet me on the head."
Laughing a little, he lifts the glass to his lips and looks across at Dianne, noticing her glance.

{Jeremiah tilts his head. //I struck a nerve. Oops.//}"Being 'pathetic' is a choice, kid. You believe it, and so you are. Is that really what you want to be for the rest of your life?"

(Draco)

A tall, blond-haired figure appeared from the shadows outside a deserted shop front. Having just gotten back from an evening of gambling, he was keen to get outside the city for a while - these narrow streets always felt claustrophobic to him.

( @Blood For an ice dragon, Finy's pretty hot headed. XD)

(Blood)

Ivy jerked backwards from Finy, eyes going wide for a moment as she noticed his fangs. Then her expression settled into calculating curiosity. 'Ha! I knew it,' she murmured. 'You're not human.'

( @Aggron, haha yeah he is, only on rare occassions like this though)

(King)

Crowley mulled over that for a few seconds. 'Heh, I just had the weirdest mental image,' he commented nonchalently. Picking up his own glass, he took a long gulp and let his gaze follow Morty's to where Dianne sat. 'Are you gonna say anything, or are you just gonna watch us creepily?'

(Radiant)

Tochi looked up from the pavement, spotting a figure just ahead of her. //Ah. Maybe he knows where that bar is,// she thought with satisfaction.

(Aggron)

'No, of course I don't, but... I can't feel better about myself overnight. I'll... I'll work on it.' Sheldon paused, glancing along the quiet street. 'Uhm, d-didn't you say you had to be somewhere? I don't want to waste your time...'

Finy snorted, "Oh wow really?" he says sarcastically, moving back and putting his hands back in his pockets, "You're lucky, I'm not in the mood to eat rats today"

(Kole)

Ivy let herself be pulled back slightly by Asher, and let out a sigh. 'OK, OK...' To Finy, she added, 'It's such a shame that a good-looking young man like yourself turns out to be such a nasty little piece of work.'

{Dianne leans back and looks directly at Crowley.}"Watching /you/ creepily? You two have been staring at /me/ since your arrival."

(Draco)

Arminus glanced up as he realised a small figure was watching him from across the road. After a moment's deliberation, he crossed over to her and spoke up, keeping a safe few feet of distance. 'You look a tad lost,' he remarked casually. 'The street's not a very safe place for young girls to wander around alone - at night, no less.'

(Aggron)

Crowley nearly choked on his ale. 'I sure as heII haven't been staring at you. I was actually trying to ignore you until now, weirdo.'

{Jeremiah lets out a long sigh.}"Yeah. Look, kid, get some help. And if you just need to talk to someone,..."{He hands Sheldon a business card.}..."Come by the office sometime. Be seeing you." {With that, Jeremiah departs down the street.}

(Radiant/Aggron)

"Only because you looked at us first."
He says with a slight smile, placing his glass down.

Finy growls and turned away, starting down the opposite way from them, //Annoying rat// he keeps growling as he turns a corner, disappearing from sight.

"...Yes, I suppose it is a dangerous thing to do." Tochi admitted, looking at Arminus with interest. "I was trying to find a nearby bar. Do you think you might have seen it, sir?"

(Kole)

Ivy huffed indignantly, but started walking nonetheless. Once she was sure Finy was out of earshot, she burst out, 'Can you even /believe/ anyone would talk to a complete /stranger/ like that?! The nerve of him.'

{Dianne waves her hand in a dismissal fasion.}"Whatever, bird-brain, believe what you want."

(Aggron)

Sheldon stared down perplexedly at the business card, barely taking any of it in. 'Uhh, yes. Thank you. Uhm, goodbye, sir.' With that, he hurriedly turned and stumbled away up the street, desperate to get back to his parents' house. It had been a strange evening.

(Aggron: Wait, how does she know he's actually a crowdragon?)

( @Radiant I was going to say that she could smell him, but I can change the response if you want to keep that a secret for longer.)

(Draco)

'Then why do it? I guess you're braver than most people.' Arminus inspected Tochi keenly, his crimson eyes glistening in the dim light. He easily towered more than a foot above her. 'Aren't you a bit young to be drinking?'

(Aggron: No, it's alright, I was just wondering.)

Crowley sneered at Dianne, raising his glass to take another swallow. 'You know? Cool, so that means I was right the whole time!' He set his glass down with a thunk. 'You're /not/ a human.'

Tochi hesitated, noticing the unusual colour of Armin's eyes, then attempted to hide her surprise. "Yes, well, the truth is... I need somewhere safe to stay before my parents come to pick me up. I won't be drinking much."

{Dianne takes another drink.}"And how did you come to that conclusion?" {She briefly shifts her gaze to Morty, then back to Crowley}

(Kole)

Ivy listened attentively as Asher spoke, gazing at his face the entire time. She cooled down a little, beginning to understand what he was getting at. 'Hm-hm... I suppose it's not that bad, then,' she finally replied. 'I'd feel sorry for him if he weren't quite so aggressive. But I know what you mean.' She continued walking quietly for a moment, then suddenly added, 'You don't mind the non-humans, then?'

(Draco)

Arminus' mouth twitched into a barely-noticeable smile. 'I'd hardly call a bar a safe place to stay. But if you really want to go, I'll take you there. It's not very far at all.' He stepped past Tochi and looked around expectantly, waiting for her to follow him.

(Radiant/Aggron)

"Aren't we all these days?"
Mortikai chuckles a little, taking another swig from his glass, deciding against pouring himself another.

(Aggron)

'Pff, like it's hard to guess,' said Crowley carelessly, looking away from Dianne and swilling his drink around in the bottom of the glass. 'If you could tell I'm not human so easily, then you must either have mind-reading powers or a really good sense of smell.'

(BRB, need to get some food.)

(Radiant)
"Oh, will you? Thank you very much!" Tochi smiled. "I'm Tochi, by the way."

(Honestly Tochi, stranger danger...)

(Kole)

'Oh, I agree!' said Ivy enthusiastically. 'I've /never/ had a problem with those guys. But you can't be too careful, can you? Anyone can be dangerous, but the non-humans are a lot more powerful than us... By the way, my house is just up that street,' she added, pointing to a street just off to their right.

{Dianne smiles a little.}"Believe me, I didn't need a good sense of smell to tell that. I mean, when the guy who overtly smells like a walking pidgeon coop walks in it's easy to guess that he isn't exactly human."

(Draco)

Arminus smiled back at her and turned to stride along the dimly-lit sidewalk. 'What a lovely name,' he said softly, 'Mine's Arminus. I know it's a mouthful, so feel free to call me Armin or anything else you like.'

(Tall creepy red-eyed stranger walking around at night who looks like a vampire, not suspicious at all.)

(Aggron)

Crowley made an offensive hand gesture at her. 'Yeah, like you smell any less weird. Why don't you just admit you're not human, cuz you're doing a crappy job at disguising it.'

"Armin..." Tochi hummed. "You have a nice name, too." She wondered whether to mention his eyes - //No, that might seem rude. Maybe he's wearing contacts?//

(Kole)

Ivy nodded, smiling, and brushed her hair out of her eyes. 'That'd be great. You know, it's been really nice talking to you... I don't suppose I can get your number?' she asked teasingly, only half-joking.

Mortikai snorts, almost choking on his mouthful of alcohol.
"It's not /that/ bad of a smell, I mean, it's more of a slightly overall bird smell. Plus a little bit of fire-y, sorta."
He says after recovering, his words a little jumbled thanks the the alcohol.

(Draco)

'A name that ridiculously long can sound nice? I beg to differ, but thank you,' replied Armin, chuckling slightly. He glanced around every few seconds to check that Tochi was still behind him. 'I know I'm just a complete stranger, but would it be OK to ask you what you were doing? You mentioned that you're waiting for your parents to pick you up, but where were you before?'

(King)

Crowley smirked and thumped Mortikai on the back. 'Thanks. You don't smell so terrible yourself,' he said. 'And try not to choke, I don't wanna have to carry your dead body out of here.'

{Dianne laughs, delighted at having gotten under Crowley's skin. Before she could add to it, Jeremiah walks up to the bar an sits next to Dianne, between her and Crowley and Morty.}
Jeremiah:"Sorry I'm late."
Dianne:"Jerry. What took you so long?"

(Kole)

Swiftly snatching the card from Asher, Ivy shoved it into her jeans pocket with a self-satisfied grin. 'Thank you for walking me back,' she said. She looked for a second like she wanted to hug him, but stopped herself just in time, figuring he wouldn't be too comfortable with that when they'd known each other for about thirty minutes.

"I was hanging out with a friend of mine," Tochi replied, quickening her pace to keep up with Armin. "We lost track of time and I didn't want to walk home in the dark, so I called my parents. I was going to meet them at the bar, but I didn't know where it was, then you turned up."

(Radiant)

"You're welcome. And thanks, but a little thing like choking can't kill me."
With a slight laugh, he leans back against the bar.

Crowley looked across curiously when Jeremiah came in, eyes flicking between him and Dianne. He finished his last mouthful of ale and said, to Dianne, 'Who's he? Your boyfriend?'

(Hey guys, I'll have to go soon. My wifi gets shut off at night and I don't know exactly when. Don't want to be caught out unexpectedly.)

Ivy smiled winningly at Asher as she hurried forwards up to her house's front door. 'Bye, Asher! Can't wait to see you agaaaain!' she called out in a singsong voice. Opening the door, she stepped inside with a sigh of contentment, pulling out the business card and looking it over properly. 'What a lovely, handsome gentleman he was. This must've been my lucky night...' she murmured to herself.

"That's be good, bars can be a little... chaotic sometimes." Tochi laughed. "If you get bored, though, it's okay if you leave. I think I could stay out of trouble on my own."

{Dianne chuckles.}"No, just an aquaintance." {Jeremiah looks down for a moment.}"Well, should we get a more private table to talk at?"
Dianne:"Sure." {The two leave the liquor counter and sit at a table in the corner of the room."

Crowley sneered at Dianne and Jeremiah behind their backs as they walked away. Turning back to Mortikai, he said, 'Told ya, she's not human.' He pushed his empty glass aside and yawned hugely. 'I should get going soon. You're a pretty cool guy though, want to meet up and chat another time?'

(Kole: Is it possible to be excited to go to sleep? XD)

Arminus entered the bar, gallantly holding the door open for Tochi. 'I don't get bored too easily,' he said simply. Out of his peripheral vision he noticed several other people in the bar, but they didn't look dangerous to him.

Tochi walked inside, breathing in the warm smells and hearing the quiet conversations of the people. "Thanks for getting me here, Armin." She smiled. "Let's go and take a seat."

(By the way, with my last Crowley post I meant to put King as well as Aggron.)

(Draco)

Armin let go of the door, letting it swing shut behind them. 'Over here, maybe?' he said, heading over to a small table with two chairs. It was positioned somewhere between the two places where Crowley/Mortikai and Jeremiah/Dianne were sitting.

{At the table, the two converse.}
Jeremiah:"So, you said you might have some information regarding my case?"
Dianne:"Well, it might just be rumours, and it might not be."
Jeremiah:"What have you heard?"
Dianne:"Apparently, along with the Police description, the assailant was also missing two fingers on his right hand."
Jeremiah:"That's new. Who told you that?"
Dianne:"Someone who came into my shop the other day was talking to another, and I heard that."

"That'll do nicely," Tochi nodded, heading for the table.

(Draco: I think he said he was drawing something, so he'd be slow.)

Arminus settled down on the chair opposite Tochi, smiling reassuringly. 'Any idea when your parents are coming to pick you up?' he asked. As he spoke, he rested his right hand on the tabletop and drummed his fingers in a rhythm, leaving the missing ring and pinky fingers visible.

"Same to you, my friend. Any place in particular you have in mind to meet at?"
Mortikai places a note on the counter as a tip, standing up to shrug his coat on.

Tochi's eyes flickered toawrds Armin's hand and again she felt a little uneasy about this man. However, her tone remained casual. "They said they'd take about 25 minutes, so not long."

(King: Oh, there you are. XD It's fine.)

Crowley shrugged, also standing up and pushing some money across the bar. 'Anywhere cool will do,' he replied. 'Maybe tomorrow we could go for a walk? I wanna show off my own shapeshifting skills, and I can't do it indoors.' He grinned up at Morty.

(I just realised, Crowley is 5'2'' and Mortikai is 6'3''... they must look kinda funny together.)

{Jeremiah screws up his face.}"That could just be hear-say."
Dianne:"Maybe, maybe not. Got any better leads? Besides, aparently, the person saw a vampire with the exact police description on the night of the murder hurrying down an alley with two missing fingers."
Jeremiah:"Hmmm, I guess it's worth looking into. Know any eight-fingered vampires?"
{Dianne, having been watching Armin through a window reflection smiles.}"Try the one sitting behind us."
{Jeremiah peers over Dianne, then looks back at her.}"...Oh..."

(Draco)

'Alright. Just a few more minutes, then.' Armin's gaze flickered momentarily towards the bar as Crowley and Mortikai stood up, but then his eyes calmly slid back to Tochi. 'You look a little bit nervous. Is everything alright?'

"Oh, yes," Tochi quickly tore her gaze from the 3-fingered hand. "I'm quite all right. What were you doing before we met?"

"Hm...There's a small park not too far away from here. It gets locked up at night, but the fences are easy to climb. We could meet here or something."
He looks off, trying to think of elsewhere they could meet.

(A tall cat and a short crowdragon XD)

(Draco/Aggron)

'Nothing important,' said Armin. 'I was returning from a game, that's all.' Having been listening to the conversation going on across the room, he then looked up and smiled pleasantly in Dianne and Jeremiah's direction. 'Hello there. Nice evening?'

(King)

'Eh, that sounds good enough,' Crowley responded. 'They'll be nobody there and we can show off all our powers.' He didn't bother mentioning that the only power he actually had was shapeshifting. 'Sooo, it's a plan for sure?'

Tochi turned to see who Armin was looking at. "Hello?" She said, inspecting the pair. She added in a whisper, "Armin, do you know them?"

{Jeremiah scratches his chin.}"Well, I can't make an arrest without evidence. And I can't just randomly question him either. If I could just get his name, or find out where he lives, then I could research who he is and investigate." (Hey, gtg now. It's been fun. Bye!)

'No, not at all,' replied Armin out of the corner of his mouth, struggling not to laugh.

"Really?" Tochi raised an eyebrow slightly. "You're very polite, saying hello to people you don't know. I should try and be more like you," she said, not actually thinking Armin was telling the truth.

(Radiant)

"It's a plan for sure."
Mortikai nods, grinning a little. He picks up his hat and begins to head for the door, looking back to see if Crowley would be following.

(Draco)

Arminus waved a hand dismissively. 'Trust me, I've never spoken to them in my life. I just like to be polite, as you said.' He glanced over his shoulder at the others, then gave a tiny shrug and looked away.

(I think I'm gonna stop there for today! We can all meet up and continue next week.)
