One of them is Adair's father (Monstrum), the other his terrible uncle (Elder) who killed his father (Monstrum) and made Adair believe HE (Elder) was his father and raised him as his own, yet was an awful man and father to Adair until Adair ran from home and many years later eventually killed the man he believed to be his father (Elder.)
. . . Long story short, they're both dead
