Salem sat alone in the guild, papers scattered on the table in front of him. He seemed to be writing a letter as well as researching some places to explore. "Why is this so difficult?" he mumbled while crumbling up a piece of paper.
(sorry if it sucks, but it's the first thing that came to mind)

Leo came in sitting across srom Salem dropping his bag and book on the ground next to him.
Leo: hows everything going for you? *he asked proping up his head with a hand*

Salem looked at Leo for a quick second before returning to his letter. "I'm trying to write a letter to my folks back home," he replied, tapping his pencil on the table. "I'm also trying to plan where we'll go next, but I'm not too sure where we should go."

Leo: ... Not someplace super rough. Last time i tried someplace like that i got hurt pretty bad.. And good luck with your letter. I hope everyone is well.

"Yeah, it's been quite a while since I've seen my family, but we manage to stay in touch," Salem said, circling a couple of areas on the map in front of him. "Now, the forests, as well as the mountains and wetlands could use some exploring... What do you think?"

Leo: ..hmm.....the mountains and forests are bound to have bug and fighting types there.. so i would say wetlands.

"Wonderful, that's one task finished," Salem chuckled, folding up the map. "We'll leave after I finish this letter, maybe sooner if it takes me too long." With a soft sigh, he returned to his letter, showing a more serious look than before.
(i gotta go to bed. continue tomorrow?)

Leo: alright sounds like a plan. I'll get everything ready meanwhile.

*15 minutes later*
Salem gave a huff as he set his pencil down and sat back, looking over the letter he just finished. "Hmm, it'll have to do," he mumbles, folding the up the letter and sliding it into an envelope. "I'll drop this off later today."

Leo having left a bit prior returned with a packed bag and the usual downish look on his face.
Leo: you ready or still need time?

"I'm as ready as I'll ever be," Salem replied as he stood up. "You sure you got everything?"

Leo nods
Leo: i checked several times

"Excellent, let's be on our way shall we?" Salem chuckled as he slipped the letter in his pocket and began to walk to the guild's exit.
