if you're using black and white to shade, maybe change the shading color a bit? Like if you're shading an orange character you might want to go a little bit closer to red as you go darker and a little closer to yellow as you go lighter, stuff like that. Expiriment with shading colors a bit, I guess?
Other than that, this looks great!

this looks great! how did you even do that pose??? did you, like, hold your ds at an angle?? bruh.
but anyways, really the only things are if you want her to look more peaceful, the mouth kinda makes her look all tense. also, just with the 3d, try to experiment with having multiple layers of the same thing and erasing. [playbacks with the circle pad tilted so you can see the layers help] this is just so that with the 3d characters fit into the background better and look more life-like.
