Heidi, nothing beats the interaction between people outside of text.
At your age it may seem either difficult talking to others (mainly people you don't know or very well) or uninteresting, but not only can it be easy but interesting too.
You would be surprised just how many people are actually trying to be decent people, and would prefer a friend, over an enemy.
People make enemies when they fail to communicate problems, or when you fail to understand problems.
My GF has a MUCH easier time finding a GF when she befriends someone 1st, then lets them know she's interested in girls.
Rather than just up and saying it right away.
People need to get to know you, and understand you.
Once you are talking to people in person, never give up on them, no matter how terrible they get, they are human, and going through some problems.
Once you do, you are sure to meet plenty people to date.
