It was early in the evening at the Fishbach estate. The halls throughout the massive home echoed with the sound of the rain that pattered on the roof above. It was gloomy but the warm glow of the lights that hung from the high ceilings kept the darkness at bay. A day like any other by all means, just a little more soothing with the storm that passed above them.

Lily was busy scrubbing one of the marble staircases. Zoning out as per usual as she thoroughly carried out her task.

Alice stood by the one of the Windows of the Mansion, watching the drops of rain come and fall off of the glass Windows. Something about it was calming to her.

Yozora hopped up to Alice, holding a note in between it's teeth. Alice took the letter and skimmed through it before crumbling it and throwing it on the ground.

Alice screeched and jumped back a bit. Once he saw it was Christian, she gently hit him on the shoulder. "Don't do that to me."

Alice laughed and nudged him. " Oh, come on! I didn't even hit you that hard." Alice laughed even more before sighing and leaning up against him. "Though, I'm glad to see you. I could use the company."

"you know, I think that one's clean" came the soft voice of Bpo Bpo from behind Lily. She jumped a little, being snapped out of her spacing so suddenly. A sigh escaped her as she stood and picked up the bucket. Carefully, she made her way down the clean, slick, marble stairs. Just as she reached the last few she heard a distant tapping. Distracted, one of her feet slipped out from under her. She made a short squeak of surprise before her small body tumbled down the last few steps.

Alice rolls her eyes and giggles. She always loved it when he did something nerdy. "How is your arm doing? Is it getting any better?" She asked, eyeing it.

"Hopefully. I don't like seeing you hurt." He says, holding his arm in her hands.

Lily felt like crying immediately after she hit the floor of the hall. The pain rushed up from her legs and bum. Along with the bucket that lay next to her overturned, the floor around her became increasingly soaked. She looked like a mess, but couldn't stand to fix herself as the pain refused to let her move.

Yozora hopped down the halls and saw Lily on the floor in pain. He quickly transformed into his human form and kneeld down next to her. "Are you alright?" He asked.

She squeezed her eyes shut trying to push away the welling tears. The sudden sound of the voice spooked her, making her flinch, then wince at the pain the move caused her. Finally regestering the question, she tried her best to respond. "I-I think so.. C-Can you please help me up though?"

Yozora nodded, throwing one of her arms over his shoulder and hoisting her up. "Can you walk at all?" He asked.

Alice smiled, but it soon faded away. "I could be better. One of my...coworkers is visiting me tomorrow."

"thank you." She spoke softly as he helped her up. Tears scratched at the back of her eyes as the slowly stood. She drew in a gasping breath, pushing it back, trying to appear brave. "I- I think so. Thank you very much for your help." She then put her full weight down on one foot to step forward. A cry escaped her as her knees buckled beneath her, practically sending her to the floor once again if it wasnt for her arm still on Yozora. Her vision blurred for a moment, nearly fainting then and there.

Alice sighs. "I've been small leave of absence from my work for a while now, so they're getting a little concerned about me. I've been having Yozora take the jobs for me, but it seems they've grown suspicious."

"Are you sure you're all right?" Yozora asked, looking over at Lily with a very concerned look. "I can carry you if need be."

@Cherry

"Yes....No.." Alice can't think up a right answer and just shakes her head. "Look, I want to leave, but I can't exactly. It's against the rules, and I want to live a while longer."

She thought for a moment on his offer. Either futher embarrass herself by attempting to limp down the halls, or swallow her pride for the time being and accept his kindness. Her cheeks turned pink as she looked down and softly took a deep breath. "Please.. If you don't mind."

Alice looks up at Christian and tries to smile at him. "Look, I'll find some way out of this, so don't worry, okay?" She knew the circumstances, she lived with them her whole life and she didn't want him to get hurt becuase of it.

Yozora nodded, taking her side and brought her in her arms bridal-styled. He didn't think too much of it. He just thought of it as another task he needed to do. "I'll see if I can find the doctor or someone who can treat you."

Alice rested her head on his shoulders. He felt warm and comforting. "I'll be fine, I promise." She explained. Though, internally, she was dying. She knew it was not going to end well, but she didn't want Christian to worry too much. "And if anything happens, you'll be my hero."

Lily willingly let him pick her up, gasping a bit at the jabs the movement caused. "Th-thank you." She whispered as he got her settled into his arms. Looking up to his face for the first time sincerely, she listened. "That would be nice, thank you.. I apologize, I didn't catch your name?"

"I'm Yozora." He replied, still looking around for someone who could help her and not even looking down at her. "You?" He asked. After searching more and more, he was starting to feel even more hopeless about actually finding help.

"Yozora.. Well, thank you, Yozora." She watced him carefully, attempting to read his expression. Lost? She looked around then, realizing as well that there was no-one in sight. "Hm?" Her head turned back at his question. "Oh, Lily. I'm Lily."

"Lily." He echoed as he kept looking for someone. "I haven't heard that name yet. Are you fairly new?" He asked.

@Cherry

Lily nodded, "Yes, I only just started two weeks ago." She looked around with him then. "It doesn't help I keep to myself either. I fear there's plenty of people I haven't yet met." Her gaze fell down to her hands rested infront of her, embarrasment shining through in her voice now. "Though, I can't say I would have chose to meet anyone like this. I do apologize for the inconvinence."

"Don't worry about it." He reassured her. "Things like this happen all the time." He then stopped in the middle of the hallway, knowing no one was going to help her, at least in sight. "Though, the halls usually aren't this barren." Yozora sighs in dissapointment. "I'll just have to treat you, then."

Alice smiled and kissed him right back on the lips. "I couldn't ask for anything more."

Alice looked at where the Christian was looking and ended up looking back at the raindrops again. The small sound of the drops hitting the glass window sounded calming. Alice smiled with Christian, never wanting this moment to end.

She looked up to him once more. Despite his assurance, guilt for him having to go through all this for her ate at her. Fighting back the desire to apologize again she bit her tongue. She hated being a nuissance, feeding on others. Her eyes scanned the abandoned the halls once more, hoping to spot someone to help so he wouldn't be burdened. However when he mentioned he would tend to her, her gaze snapped back. "You can do that? I-I mean, I appreciate it, but you don't have to."

Alice flinched in surprise, but then giggled. "Soon, you'll be the Hulk!" She joked.

"It's fine, really. Besides, I've studied a bit of medical science, so I should be able to do some basic treatment." He replied as he looked around for the where they had medical supplies in the mansion.

@Cherry

"Sounds like fun. Besides, I haven't seen many superhero movies and I know you live them." She said with a smile, holding him close to her.

I know this is a horrible place to end, but I need to go to sleep. Good Night!

She nodded, "I see. Very handy, then. Thank you."
