"I'm gonna SEEL this deal!"
"Time to SEEL in this win!"
I bought a ton of Pokemon cards as a kid, but funny thing is I never learned how to use them. Until now! I bought the Pokemon Trading Card Game...Game, for The Gameboy Color!...on 3DS XD (Also hence the outfit xD which I based off of the player's clothes) I've been playing it recently and it's a lot of fun! (Except when you run into the few CPUs who spam paralysis and confusion.) Unlike regular Pokemon where battles can become a bit predictable, in this game, where as you do create your own deck, it's shuffled every game, so you don't know who you're gonna get. Every battle becomes a strategic warfare. You can re-fight people as much as you want, and still every battle will be different! Not only that, but it's also really good at teaching you the rules, much better than reading a really long blog post online. If you have any Pokemon cards that you don't know how to use, or are looking for a new kind of Pokemon adventure, I HIGHLY recommend this game!
On another note I tried to make this look as much like the Pokemon anime (or just 90s anime) as possible. I think it worked well ^ ^, Well, I hope you all enjoyed! : D

Ah, that game actually has the old rules of the card game(Which I say are better than the new ones.) That game is alot of fun! I love this picture, and enjoy the 90's style!
I'm the 2nd person to comment!
Oh, in Fire Emblem, I used a Master 'Seel' xD

Awesome! There is a pokemon trading card game on the PC you can download from the pokemon website! I've been meaning to download it.

I actually picked that same game up over the summer, having no experience with the card game before.
Quite a fun game, and still simple enough at the time to be fairly easy to analyze in terms of game design. Not as many variables and moving parts as the modern card game.
Hitmonchan is my favorite card.

i have the game too. it's fun. :D
pokemon cards are fun, though new game machanics have been added in the last couple of expansions that have released recently.
but the original rules are the best imo. :)

I remember playing with Yu-gi-oh cards as an elementary school kid. Never "really" collected cards, just used the same few, and got new packs every so often.
Had Pokemon cards as well, but not as much, and never bothered learning how to use them.
Eventually, I lost interest in card games, and my tiny collection faded to oblivion.
Leading up to now, I started playing Hearthstone a couple years ago. It's free to play, but you can spend in game gold, or real money, to add more cards to your collection (don't spend more money on it than you value it as a game. ie: free/small-large indie/full triple A experience). It's mostly a pass time now though.
Sorry for the super long round-about comment, but I've never had lucky draws, and likewise never was good at card games.

I have around 900 cards I think (irl). I have played the game with @Red99 for years now, on and off. I've went to a few pkmn TCG gatherings at some libraries, and traded with a few friends. The Gameboy game (on 3DS) is a really fun game that lets you feel like you are opening new packs of cards, without dropping $4 for each one! I love the classic cards, so the game was a boost in that aspect for me. Now it only needs some kind of multiplayer available on 3ds...
Good job on making the 90's anime look, and that Seel card looks great and colorful (although, it is a bit warped). Is there a backstory for why you chose Seel for this drawing?

It's the video game adaptation of the card game adaptation of the... um... video game. Kinda went full circle there, huh? xD
Anyway, it sounds interesting! I actually used to get a lot of Pokemon cards, too, but I never learned how to play. I'll look into picking this up.

Man, i loved playing this game on the Gameboy Color! I used Seel in my decks, too!
It's a pretty fun game, especially since many things can happen.
My favorite cards were Starmie Ninetails, and Venomoth. I disliked Execcutor, and I hope you don't find out why...
XD

Also, nice! I say you hit the "Mark" pretty well, about the older style anime.
:)

Oh my gosh! I played that game to DEATH when I was younger! Hours of playing that I treasure above a lot of other gaming memories! I remember when I beat the game with my Pinsir-Hitmonchan Deck!

Re: Thanks! And yes, this is Quill's backstory.
Huh. I wasn't going for Pikachu and Mesprit, but now that you mention it, the silhouettes do match them. xD
Yeah, that's pretty much where I fall on the scratchy border, too. On the one hand, I think it complements the art within the panels, but on the other, it looks a little messy. Perhaps it could be improved if I cleaned up the sides of the borders so that there are no wispy single lines.

Re: yeah it's hair lol, it's part of an inside joke. I wish I did comics more often honestly, but I haven't had any good ideas :/

I don't know how to use them XD but they were so cool right?
Aaw Witz finally I can talk to you :D! I am so happy to see your art again!
Tell me what do you think of the new Pokémon series? ;u; Ash will never grow up, lol
