Join the party! It's a semi-public account for taking turns on large #masscollab (s), all online.
It'll work like this: Someone starts a painting and uploads it. If you want to add something, you log into our account, say in the comments that you will be working on the photo for... an hour or something, then you download, edit, and upload. This way everyone will work on the same painting, and accidental branching won't happen, forcing someone to paint twice.

If two people are painting at the same time we can't combine the drawings, so claim the painting in the comments when you download, and if you can only paint for an hour, upload it when you're done and don't keep it sitting for days. How about we have it so if there's not a new upload one day after the "dibbs" comment, the painting is free to be downloaded by someone else. This can be negotiated painting to painting, but be honest you're not painting for 40 hours straight. Give others a turn, especially for the paintings with lots of artists. Only have it downloaded until you are done or need to stop for a while.
