I hate the paid online thing. Xbox and Playstation had it and now Nintendo is doing the same. People already pay enough for their internet. This is my opinion though. And I agree with you on the Splatoon thing. I thought It finally died down and now it's going to start up again, ugh.

I don't really like the paid online subscription, because if I'm play the Switch like I play the Wii U, all I'll be playing/using it for is Splatoon 2. x-x
