Not much is known about Emmy's past before coming to the home. She was left as a baby on the doorstep of Elizabeth's foster care facility with nothing but a blanket embroidered with an "E" wrapped around her tiny discolored body. Elizabeth took her in and, spotting the Letter, decided to give her a name that fit it. Ever since then, Emily grew up knowing nothing but the love and care Miss. Elizabeth and Mr. Armando gave her. She's spent her whole life silently wondering, but never knowing, and it kills her. But certain that she will hurt those she cares about, she holds back her curiosity. Elizabeth is like her Mom, in Emmy's eyes, and that's all she needs.

Facts about Emily:
-can't digest anything but meat [the more raw it is, the better it is for her]
-Doesn't bleed blood, instead a sort of tar like black substance runs through her veins
-Her left eye has a habit of popping out and getting lost
-is 4ft7inches
-Only thing that can really kill her is a severe blow to the brain, otherwise other injuries just have the effect of irritating her
-Has a slight lisp due to her teeth [which as the adult ones grow in, will change to a normal set] and tends to accidently bite her tongue a lot
-she CAN feel, just has a high pain tolorence
-When she's angry she gets nosebleeds
-Wants to be normal, as she hates that she scares other people
