Desmond & Fainche are the leaders of Legacy, meaning they are the ones who decide the outcome of all mortal lives, & they are also the parents of Dorian, Malakai Nyx, & Willoughby.

Fainche controls Fate, which allows her the power over her sons to determine the birth, death & other major factors of mortals' lives, which her sons then utilize their powers to make her decisions real. She acts as the mother to all & is an incredibly warm & loving person, but she has a sharp, vile hidden personality that comes at odd times & inflicts terrible fates on innocents, of which poor Dorian inherited from his mother.

Desmond, on the other hand, controls Destiny, which, though it seems similar to Fainche's job, he creates an unthinkable amount of pathways that mortals are able to choose as they continue through their lives. He's a rather creative chap!! & as Desmond is really a very laid-back & quiet individual, Fainche is the head of the house & ultimately decides how mortals lives end.

Nonetheless, there are a few beings who have been able to beat these gods at their own games & managed to create their own paths free from control of either Desmond or Fainche...
