- Only friends/people I've RPed with before (you should know who you are)

Anyone around to chat? I probably won't be here long, but I have nothing to do right now except this.

Heyloooooo

FadingGlory

You want me to be on the ds or no?

Crowley the Dragon

You can comment online if it's more convenient for you, I don't mind.

Sooo, how's things? (I'm the best at starting conversations. XD)

FadingGlory

05 Jan, 2017, 10:53 pm

Alright. XD

I've been sick for the past week, but I'm feeling better for the most part. Got to skip out of school though. XD How about you?

Crowley the Dragon

05 Jan, 2017, 10:56 pm

Glad to hear you're alright now. X) I've been more bored than anything else, though I've been kinda stressing about having to find a job. (It doesn't help that here's like no jobs available around here.) But other than that things have been pretty good.

FadingGlory

05 Jan, 2017, 11:03 pm

(Sorry, got pulled away.)
Ah yeah, that can be stressful. I was offered a job at the place my older siblings work at, but I don't want to so I've been avoiding it. X'D What kind of jobs do you think you'd be good for?

Crowley the Dragon

05 Jan, 2017, 11:07 pm

If I were you I'd probably take that job, I couldn't afford to miss an opportunity. XD

Honestly, I'm not sure. I don't really have a lot of skills that could help me get a job somewhere. I do have some experience with horses, so I've been looking into working at a local stable, but so far nothing's come up.

I'll more than likely end up working in KFC or something eventually. XD

FadingGlory

05 Jan, 2017, 11:19 pm

(I did it again. Dx)

Yeah, I probably should, but school. xP

Lol, well KFC's not too bad. They've got wings. XD A stable would be really cool though. Would you tend to horses or some other animal?

Crowley the Dragon

05 Jan, 2017, 11:25 pm

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. It must be hard to have a job and schoolwork to do at the same time.

I used to do volunteer work with horses at a small stable near my home, and I'd planned to get a real job there eventually, but the stable was closed down after its owner passed away a couple of years ago. So that's not an option anymore, but that's the kind of work I'd be looking for anyway.

I kinda wish I wasn't old enough to have to worry about all of this. XD

Right now my parents aren't forcing any jobs on me because I don't spend my money and I have school to do, but it won't say this way forever. I'm still living in their house, after all. 'XD

That's really cool! So you're use to that kind of work and you enjoy it (I'm assuming), so it might be a good path to take. You could also try online tests that help you figure out what kind of job you'd be good for.
But yeah, I get that. I'm nearly at the age where I really should be thinking about what job I'm gonna get, what college I'll go to and when I'm gonna get my driver's license and so on, but as usual, I'm just gonna procrastinate and eat bon-bons. X'D

Crowley the Dragon

05 Jan, 2017, 11:38 pm

Heh, I'm no better, I just want to draw and play videogames all day, but that's not an option. XD My family is going through some financial issues and I really need to get a job to earn some extra money, but it's not easy, since as there isn't much I'm good at. Plus I'm really socially awkward. Job interviews and such are just about my worst nightmare. XD

I'd love to earn money through doing art commissions, but I'm not up to that level of skill yet.

Ahh my internet's getting turned off, sorry! I'll read your reply tomorrow morning.

See you!

05 Jan, 2017, 11:48 pm

Haha, why do we have to grow up and be adults? TuT

Ah, we're in the same position, almost. Barely enough money to pass us each day, but we're still here. And yeah, socializing is so awkward. Why do we have to be introverts? X'D Though it's terrifying at first, I've found that I can kinda get over my social anxieties by just being around people. I'm surrounded by people all the time at my homeschooling program, but they're all friendly and understanding, so it's helped me to open up. Plus Imm in a speech and debate class, so I am kinda forced to be social. ^^' It's hard, but you can't let your distaste for socializing get in the way of living.
And that'd be really cool! I'm sure there are always people out there who'd be willing to buy your art. A lot of them aren't as good as you and maybe look up to you.

Ah whoops, I only just read your comment.

See you later! It was nice talking to you!

hello

Radiant Raindragon

06 Jan, 2017, 11:43 am

Yeah, true. That's one of the reasons I hate it when people put their art down - because there's always someone who's not as good as them, who maybe looks up to them.

It's hard being an introvert. XD Maybe if I were around people more often then, like you, it'd make me better at socialising. Unfortunately I spend most of my time at home on the computer. XD

Radiant Raindragon

06 Jan, 2017, 11:53 am

And hi Darkstar, you're a little late. XD

FadingGlory

06 Jan, 2017, 1:59 pm

Ahh thanks for the comment! ^o^

I have a problem with that though. Sometimes I'll say I didn't do a good job so that bigger artists won't judge me for my art, but I don't think about what the lesser artists think when I say that. I've been trying to overcome that in me. xP

Haha, homeschooling spoils us, doesn't it? 'XD The down part about social media is that you don't actually talk face to face with the person, so it's technically not socializing. There are Skype and Facetime and similar things, but I would rather talk to somebody face to face rather than through a screen tbh. X'D

Radiant Raindragon

06 Jan, 2017, 4:50 pm

I've never used Skype or anything like that, I probably never will. XD My problem with socialising in real life is that I need to get to know the person for an insanely long time before I'm comfortable talking to them.

FadingGlory

06 Jan, 2017, 8:29 pm

Yeah, I get that. Even with the people whom I'm closest to, conversations get awkward really quickly because there's not too much to talk about besides ourselves. It's usually easy to converse with somebody that has the same interests as you, but it's often hard to find those apart from places like Colors where we meet because of our interests. Why can't anybody in real life like drawing, dragons, and videogames like I do?

Radiant Raindragon

06 Jan, 2017, 8:36 pm

I guess because on social media, you can easily find people who share your interests, while in real life you never really know if somebody does. After all, people don't have profile pages in real life. XD

FadingGlory

06 Jan, 2017, 9:46 pm

Haha, nope. Except for the people who have no restraints and talk about the stories of their lives because they figure, "why not?". XD I sometimes fear that I talk too much about myself (as it's one of the only things I know about, aside from my interests which they and I do not share), which is another reason why I avoid socializing. Is that just me? xP

Radiant Raindragon

07 Jan, 2017, 11:41 am

I'm the opposite I guess, I don't talk enough about myself. I tend to just listen to others and talk when I have to. Several years ago I was part of a club, and I don't think any of the members knew anything about me. XD

FadingGlory

07 Jan, 2017, 1:01 pm

Lol. XD It's like that for me up to a point, but when I'm having a conversation with somebody less social than myself, I'm forced to talk to break the awkward silence. However, by then I'll have run out of questions to ask them, so I'll start throwing out whatever appears in my mind, which doesn't always pertain to them. I guess I just need socializing practice. TuT
Hmm, why were you in a club? Were your parents trying to teach you to be social? XD

Radiant Raindragon

07 Jan, 2017, 2:11 pm

That can happen as well. XD
And yeah, that's pretty much it. It was a girls-only club (which sucked, I don't get along well with girls in real life) and I think my mum suggested that I should join because I needed to talk to people more. It didn't work. XD

FadingGlory

07 Jan, 2017, 6:32 pm

Lol, apparently not. XD Often times it seems that forced socializing doesn't work. For me, it only makes me pull myself further inside my shell.
On another note, school started back up a little while ago but since I was sick, I'm now behind. My replies might be late or slow as I'll be studying all day long. xP

Radiant Raindragon

07 Jan, 2017, 7:54 pm

Haha, alright. Good luck with school!
