Here are my mutation ideas though:
I had an idea, one spike in front of the ears then in front would be another, smaler two on each side aswell,
longer 2nd set of arm feathers, maybe allowing to glide like an archyoteryx or what ever, The toxic saliva idea that you had ;) slit pupils, I think you'd have much better ideas.
(Although ond stereotype that we have is thd tendency to say "sorry" all the time. I live up to that stereo type... XD
