I get why you'd want to join, but I must say that there have been quite a few other people who tried to enter late but never made it in. The plot has progressed so far that it would be difficult to fit in any more characters, as Shadow has rearranged her story so that each character has an important place. xP I'm so sorry if this news upsets you, but it seems to be the fact right now, that it's closed. ;n;

But whether or not you're accepted into the roleplay, I do know that every member is a very friendly person. Don't be afraid to approach any of them and try to get to know them. ^-^

Re: No need to apologize - rather, I should be apologizing that things had to be this way. I think few people learned about SKeys because @LillyLightstar, one of the two hosts, was the one to announce the roleplay. As she is not as well known as @ShadowPikaboo, fewer people learned about it.
If you're feeling bold, you could ask if any acceptions can be made, or I can ask for you. I just don't want you to be faced with rejection - I know I don't like the feeling. xP

Hmm, it's really not that hard. You just gotta ease your way in. I would start out by following them and leaving comments on their art. Then, once you've gotten to know them a bit just from watching them, maybe say hey or ask to do an art trade with them or something (if they're not too busy). Just be careful to not idolize them by saying, "Oh, you're so amazing, I'm awful in comparison to you, I dream every night of adopting one of your species..." and what not; it gives them the impression that you're flattering them in order to get what you want. I know several of my friends have run into people like that before, and they don't hold much esteem for them anymore.

Really, you just gotta open up and show that "Hey, I'm a friendly person!" I know it's hard and scary, because I used to be just as introverted and conscious about myself as you are, but you gotta have a little courage every once and a while. People are attracted to others who are strong and can stand on their own two feet.

So you've already taken steps to making friends! x) And yes, you told me I was an inspiration to you, but you didn't knock yourself down by saying you're worthless in comparison or anything, so I wasn't turned off by you. What also matters is what the person your befriending is like. I think I know who it is that intimidates you, and I get that since I was the same, but there are others in the group that are different from others, like Shadow, Lilly, and Fluffy. They, like myself, am more willing to befriend a stranger and are generally much kinder.
Haha, sorry if I surprised you a bit. I tend to give a lot of information at once, and I didn't want to overwhelm you with a huge chunk of text (like this one), so I divide it into a couple comments. Looks like it did quite the opposite. ^^'

If you're undecided, then maybe sit back a little while and think it over. If you don't lose your nervousness, then maybe you shouldn't, but if you feel confident then go ahead. Don't push yourself at all. ^^

Re: Yeah, I think I do. Is it @BloodHybrid? I know I was intimidated by her for a while, but after being in two roleplays together I eventually discovered that she too is a human with feelings and emotions. But she can definitely come off as scary upon first glance, so I understand you if she's the one.
And it's a good thing that you've pushed yourself - that's the first step to really opening up. After a few times of doing it, you become more confident. ;)
As for approaching them, like I said, start out slow. Leave comments every once and a while and say friendly things. Be positive and understanding (and of course patient), and they'll begin to warm up to you. And it's important to know that some people are just different than others. Certain people are very exclusive and like to have only a few friends, but others are willing to accept everybody. If I were you, I'd search for the latter. The three I mentioned before are like that for the most part. :)
Oh, and one way to get connected with them is to find something that you two both like or can relate. Maybe you both like dragons or a book series. Find that out, and you'll see how much easier it is to befriend them.
