This planet obviously had a nuclear war. What caused these aliens to go nuclear is the entire western hemisphere denied unition to explore the stars. Then the eastern hemisphere tried again. And here the western hemisphere was building an army of android's and super soldiers. They were actually planning this assault for years. Until the day had come. Two years into the conflict. The eastern hemisphere didn't give in. They in fact. Started to drop nukes from space on the western hemisphere's head. Then the war was officially over for all of them. The western hemisphere launched all of their nukes whilst being nuked. That was the final day that their were any sentient life forms walking amongst the surface. Now there are just left over synthetic robots and androids. They seek the stars. Because their masters of the western hemisphere were idiots and the AI wanted them to just throw out their rivalry and unite. Now the androids amd synthetics are left roaming a radioactive dust ball.
