Um, um, i would say have his clothing be a bit japanese inspired (Cause i love all eastern type clothing) but it looks like you already were way ahead of me there.

Dark red, Blonde or Black hair, prolly leaning more towards the dark red but whatever looks best..
Wings same color as hair.
Clothing... hmm, I'm thinking white, and something else...
I guess a color pallete consisting of Reds, Blacks, And a bit of orange, yellow or white.
