Is it normal to spend six hours on the line art alone? Or is that just me?

I think it all depends on what your drawing, for me I use my art pad a lot, it's easy for me to get the poses I won't, but the down side on that is its never recorded how much time I spend sketching something else, not like it does on the 3DS, if it's something I know what I'm doing my picture average 3 hours or less, I could probably make it longer but I have a habit of losing interest and then getting new ideas fast, so the quicker I draw a picture the sooner I can work on a new one, but unfortunately I Sacrifice quantity for quality. :s

I did actually start it on paper then converted it over to my 3ds, but then I messed around with the poses a bit more and decided to try out a new line art style. I think all the time spent is gonna be worth it though. x3

The longest, according to my 3DS timer, I spent on linework was almost 2:00. But through all the failed sketches and stuff, probably over 8 hours.

What drawing program do you use again @Fading? I tried FireAlpaca and it sucks huge bo-bo. The eraser doesn't work, no matter how big you make it and the paint brushes are more limiting than colors, and that's saying something.

(Blood) Dunno if this helps, but there's two different erasers. The one in the brushes menu and the one in the left sidebar. I use the latter because I couldn't figure out how the other one works.
I'd suggest other programs you can try, but that's the only one I've used that actually works on my computer. XD

Captain walked across the tops of the rocks, the chains binding his legs rattling as he lept over drops and large gaps. The sun was beating down on him and he hated it, cursing under his breath as he moved along.

Von was making his way though the rocky Terrain, despite the Heat he still had his hood on his warlock robes up, Von heard the sound of chains and he knew he was not alone, in this desolate place //...Man or best?...Or worse?...// He thought to himself

[Captain's in his human form, I should specify x'D]

Captain stopped after a while, //This heat is killing me// he groans, wiping sweat from his forehead. He has his cloak put away in his satchel, the sail on his back visible to anyone behind him. He looked around to try and spot anything, pausing when he thought he spotted someone in robes, //No way, who's that crazy?//

(Haha no problem, Von almost always has his robes on and his hoodie up he doesn't like people seen his pretty hair X'D )

Von was using his staff as a walking stick when he stop and spotted the fishy looking man //so there was someone...// He thought as the red Warlock examined the humanoid creature with his one visible burnt umber eye, the other his right was hidden behind his black hair //hmm... Well it's not human that much I know...//

Captain crosses his muscular arms, wincing as he feels a sunburn, //Do I call to him? Or approach him? He's pretty weird...walking around like that...// Captain eyes the man, "Hey! What kind of weirdo walks around like that" he gestures to Von's robes, "In the desert?"

(Von is actually a mellow character unless if you can get him fired up, but that hard to do X'D)

(Captain will probably attack him soon, not liking humans at all or anywhere near him xD)

Von sigh he normally didn't care what others do, if they left him alone he leave them alone, but something did not feel right to the Warlock how about the strange fish man, so he gradually against himself pursued the man into the cave, Von keep to the shadow as he observe the surroundings and seen the the cave split in different directions like a honeycomb ///... this is just great...//

Captain shifted to his true form, sneaking around in the tunnels, his chains echoed through the long and narrow tunnels and occasionally he let out a growl. Waiting for the perfect moment to strike Von.

Priscilla runs up to Von, panting somewhat. "Whoo, sorry, Master Von! I got a little distracted by something back there..." She then notices the tense energy hanging in the air, and her tail twitches anxiously. "Master Von, what's going on here...?" she asks in a whisper.

Losing sight of the man he was following, Von heard the sound of chains and occasional growls going through the chamber //...Well this isn't good...// The Warlock was pulled from his thoughts when his servant came rushing in
"... Just following a suspicious character..." he answered calmly the Warlock tap his staff and it gave a light red glow Illuminating a small area around them. "Stay close Priscilla their something not right here...." He said before continuing on investigating the cave
keep an eye on his surroundings

The red light from his staff partially illuminated Captain's tail as the dragon went down another tunnel, disappearing into the darkness, a splash could be heard as Captain entered water. Then it when mostly silent, just the occasional drip of water hanging from the ceiling.

Nodding her head in understanding, Priscilla perks her ears up and stays alert. "Alright, Master Von, I'll stay right with you." She catches a glimpse of movement from the corner of her eyes, and points toward where she saw it. "What was that? Did you see it?" Priscilla whispers, edging slightly closer to her Master.

(And now it's a horror movie X'D )

Von keep walking as he listen to his servant, he caught a glimpse of what he knew was a dragon tail before it disappeared into the Shadows, the Warlock put out his free hand to stop Priscilla he keep his eye alert "... We are not alone....that was a dragon..." Von then heard the sound of water splashing through the cave //just great...A water dragon....// He signed and made sure his hood was up "come on..." He said as he travel deeper into the cave it was getting darker and cooler the further they went in, he felt occasion water droplets on his head and he grumbled quietly

Captain swam slowly through the darkness, his eyes use to dark and dank places. He listened to Von and Priscilla, //Great he's got a friend with him// he growls and it echoes through the cave, diving under the water, he continues to tail them deeper into the tunnels.

"A d-dragon...?" Priscilla rubs the scarf around her neck nervously, she doesn't know why, but even the very essence of her being is just terrified by dragons... but she's always felt that way. "... We don't have to fight it, do we, Master...?"

Von pat Priscilla on the head and gave a faint smile "...Not necessarily..." He passed "But dragons can be unpredictable and Savage...." He said calmly, his father told him brutal stories of the brutality of what dragon have done. But he
did not fear dragons he came from a clan that hunt then and study them for Magic.

Captain found his water running out, and in order to keep following them, he'd have to start walking. Grumbling to himself, he could be heard getting out of the water and walking what sounded close behind them.

( so I was thinking just for the fun of it if I put my black hair guys up against each other in fight, I think it would be
Malice vs Oblivion would be a epic battle, and
Cataclysm vs Von would be interesting, I just had a random thought xp)

(That would be cool, actually it would be awesome to see a fight of Malice vs Oblivion x'D They're both very intimidating and powerful)

Priscilla nearly jumps when she hears Captain moving, and the fact that it sounds like he's behind her really doesn't help. "M-Master Von, I think... is it following us...?" she whimpers quietly, her tail curling around one of her legs.

(That sounds awesome, Shadow! That would be quite the epic fight! X3 )

I'm not sure who would be more powerful out of the two Oblivion or Malice so it would be a pretty good fight.

Cataclysm is pretty powerful but he lacks the experience of the other two.

And Von is a warlock but he is still human)

Von glance behind them and just like Priscilla said the dragon was now pursuing them, the Warlock quickly turned around snapping his fingers, and with its Echo his red magic swirling around him, " State your business dragon!" Von burnt Amber eye glow red.

(Ah, I had more but I forget what it was X'D)

Captain stopped and glared ahead at the red glow, hearing Von's command, he snarled. Continuing to move through the darkness, his voice echoed through the tunnels ominously, "I don't like humans, of any kind, so I'm going to remove you one by one" the sound of him running echoes through the tunnels, but it's hard to tell which way he's coming.

Quickly looking down the different hallways, Priscilla's heart races as she readies ice magic in her palms. "W-wait, we could just leave quietly, we don't have to fight..." she begs pitifully, her voice trailing off at the end.

Von listen to the dragon words and the elusive sound of his food steps" we are the one being hunted..." He said to his servant. the Warlock sigh and close his eyes, he place his hand over his right eye and starts to write out symbols in the air with his left hand " the wolf hunts for its pray" Von said opening his eye as he finishes creating his symbol, his red magic takes form into a wolf "go" he commands it and the red wolf bolts down one of the tunnels of the cave, Von looks at Priscilla "that should buy us some time..." He said and grab her hand and take off found a different tunnel

Captain heard the wolf coming, he could easily tell where it was coming, but he knew he couldn't turn around in time in these narrow tunnels. He bolted passed Von and Priscilla, the red glow making him visible for a few seconds as he ran passed, heading for water, he dove in to lose the wolf.

The white-haired girl doesn't say anything when her Master grabs her hand, instead saving her breath for running... however, as Captain sprints past them, Priscilla shrieks and practically throws herself against the wall to get out of his way.

(Lol I liked Priscilla already x'D)

Von barely had time to get out of the dragon way as it stormpath them
His wolf hot on its tail The red wolf followed after the dragon but it sild to a stop just before the water, the red wolf paced back and forth the red glow for it casting an eerie reflection upon the Water surface.
Von claim turned to Priscilla "are you alright?" He ask,

My 3DS crashed, and apparently it logged me onto the @Dark account, for whatever reason XP )

Captain turned around in the water, the red light of the wolf reflecting in his eyes, he lunged from the water, biting down on the wolf and dragging it into and under the dark waters.

Priscilla shudders, looking to her Master with tears in her icy-blue eyes. "... Y-yeah... it just... it scared me... M-... Master, can't we just go...?"

The water hissed when the red wolf was pulled under by the dragon, it struggle and try to bite back, but the water was starting to breakdown the magic of it.
Von could feel his familiar breaking down he nodded his head at his servants and start heading to the directions he thought was out // we need to get away from all this water....My fire magic can only do so much down here...// He glanced over at percilla //and I rather not get her involved...//

(yaeh color just logged me out for my cell I had to turn it off and on again :p )

Captain easily ripped the wolf into pieces, coming out of the water again, "Fire magic, huh?" he growls and starts running again, this time he gets ahold of Priscilla with his foreclaws and starts to drag her into the darkness.

Priscilla breathes a sigh of relief as Von begins heading toward the way out, away from the fearsome dragon... but suddenly she feels terrible talons dragging her away from her Master. "MASTER VON!!!!" the white-haired humanoid screams, the air around her rapidly cooling from her magic as she panics.

Von whips around when he hears his servant screen his name his eye wide as he see his servant being dragged off by the drsgon " PRISCILLA!!" He shouted as he took off after them,// if I use my fire I might hit Priscilla, but he will kill her if I don't do something!//
the warlock writing a a symbol with with his hand more red Magic comes for him, he snap his fingers and a ball of fire was in his hand, and he hurls the fire ball at the dragon

Captain took the fireball to the face, wincing as it hit him, he stumbled back. Keeping his grip on Priscilla, he didn't see the drop until it was too late and fell with her. He hit the cold hard ground with a thump and felt the girl land ontop of him.

(I just realized my coffee is cold now.....;-; )

Closing her eyes tightly, Priscilla nearly holds her breath waiting for some kind of brutal attack, although it doesn't come to the extent she had imagined. She yelps when Captain falls, and stays still a moment before realizing what happened, then quickly gets up and tries to get away.

Von quickly pursued them, he came to a sudden stop seen the dragon fall off the Edge with Priscilla "No!! Priscilla!!" The warlock rush over and look down below for any sign of his servant, but it is to dark for the human to see, Von use his staff to illuminate what he can with it he see a rocky Plath leading down so the warlock drop off onto the rocks and starts making his way down to the area below // I'm coming Priscilla just hold on!//

Captain felt Priscilla start to move and climb off him, he quickly pushed himself up, trying to get up when he crumbled back down. Realizing his leg was hurt from the fall, he hissed at her, baring his teeth defensively incase she decided to attack.

(Rest in peace, dearly beloved coffee. You will be missed.)

The white-haired girl shivers when Captain hisses at her, and she quickly scrambles as far away from him as possible. Priscilla finds herself up against a stone wall, and quietly curls up there in a ball, toying with the fluff on the end of her tail. "U-um... P-please don't eat me, water dragon, p-please don't hurt me..."

Von made it down the rocks, he soon spotted his servant curled up against the wall with the water dragons snaring at het. Von quickly wrote something in the air and raised his right hand into a fist using his red magic to create wall of Fire separating his servant from the dragon. Von then turned his gaze to the Dragon,the warlock removes his cloak and cast it to the side as I walk through the flames his eye glow a bright red, "this is between you and me now" he said with a cold tone.

Nah, he's definitely cool. What I really like in roleplays is unique characters with uncommon personalities and abilities, which Von fits perfectly.
When I think about it, my comic relief character is the exact opposite of Von... I wonder how they'll get along. I'm sure she'd hit it well with Priscilla though. And my snobby prince boy is the complete opposite of Captain in that he loathes dragons; I think it's safe enough to say that they will not be buddies. X'D

Hmm, I'm not sure... Maybe a map of Howaito? I'd need to think on it...

Yeah, I really like Von, too, Priscilla's got a good Master looking out for her X3 He's pretty awesome! ^-^

Captain turned his attention fully to Von, the markings on his face giving the illusion of a skull as the fire reflected on him. Puffing out his chest, he pulled his lips back in a snarl, "Do you think you really stand a chance against me!?" he roars and lunges forward, jaws parted wide as he aims to bite down on Von.

Von was silent as he Stand Fast, and the fierce dragon charged at him to attack, the Warlock drew his staff and held it so the Beast jaws would clamp on it instead of himself, Von dug his feet into the Earth as he stood his ground against the Dragon, the Warlock red eye piercing the creature before him.

(Aww, Fiona and Terra would be cute X3 )

Captain's pale yellow eyes locked onto Von's, he snarled and pushed against him the best he could with an injured hind leg, his jaws locked tightly on his staff.

(I don't think Priscilla's going to do or say much at this point, unless Von gets hurt or something XP )

I'm doing something risky with my gift to GriffinPride, I'm going completely lineless and challenging myself with lighting and shading, I'm really hoping it turns out as nicely as I want it to, fingers crossed :x)

Von feet tore into the ground as the dragon was pushing him back, with Captain jaw is locked onto his staff, the Warlock quickly in one motion pulled back on his staff letting the momentum and the focus of the dragon, he intentionally fell back and used his feet to kick the Dragon over himself, now free from the dragon's grip Von made haste and ready himself for another attack standing to his feet holding his staff behind him and his free hand he held out writing symbols in the ari, the Warlock red magic gathered around him " my turn" he spun his staff with his other hand and slammed it into the ground, The Warlock red Magic burst from him in streams heading straight for the dragon.

(ooo that's sounds cool!! I can't wait to see it! I bet it will look amazing blood you do such wonderful work!! ^w^)

Captain's face connected with the wall, his tail flipping up into the air, as he started to quickly recollect himself, he saw the streams of magic coming for him. Having no time to dodge, he used his tail to strike Von, sending the warlock flying into the wall as he took the blast from the magic. Captain let out a pain filled roar, his legs buckling underneath him.

(D'aww thanks! I hope it does, you do wonderful work as well, I don't think I could compete on the level you and Fading detail things x'D)

Von groaned in pain snacking into the rock wall hard from the force of Captain tail, the Warlock panting holding his side with his free hand//...That one hurt...Not sure if it's just bruised or broken, but it will have to wait...// Hearing the dragon Roar and seen him struggle,
Von ues his staff to get to his feet still holding his side "I do not desire to kill you, but if you threaten my servant, do not think I will hesitate"

Letting out a cry of horror as Von is thrown against the wall, Priscilla stands up--but she hesitates. //Please, don't hurt him anymore, dragon... Please just let us go...//

Captain struggled to try and get up, his legs felt like they'd turned to jelly, he was out of practice and hadn't fought anyone in a long time. He bared his teeth at Von, ready to fight to the death when a bright haired short girl landed on top of Captain. Her tail was longer than her body, "Airiah, what are you doing here?" he snapped. She ignored him, "We won't fight anymore, just don't kill Captain please" she begs to Von.

(This is really late, but I can't wait to see what you're drawing, Blood! It's gonna look soooo awesome, I bet! X3 )

Von watched the short girl land on the dragon, she was intriguing to the Warlock, he studied her features for a moment and seen she met no harm to him or his servant, Von suppress his Magic letting the Flames subside, his eye return to a burnt amber color "as I told the dragon, I have little interest in killing someone without cause"

Captain narrowed his yellow eyes up at Airiah as she spoke, "Thank you! This old fart fights everyone he finds, it's rather tiresome" she says dramatically and he shakes her off, "I'm not that old" Captain growls, Airiah giggles and runs over to Priscilla, "You're not hurt are you?" she asks worriedly.

(Sorry guys, I got pulled away again DX Give me just a sec)

Priscilla sighs in relief when Airiah stops the fight. Smiling warmly, she nods and cheerfully replies, "I'm fine, I might have a few bruises by tomorrow, but that's alright. Thank you so, so much, though, I was afraid someone was about to get hurt..." As she finishes speaking, the white-haired humanoid notices Airiah's tail, and starts pondering things in her mind.

Airiah smiles, "That's good, I'm glad you're not seriously hurt" she curls her tail around herself as she crouches in front of Priscilla, "My name is Airiah, the grump over there is Captain" she points back at him. Captain has his eyes closed, his head resting on his forepaws.

She almost replies to Airiah's question, but suddenly remembers something, and quickly rushes over to Von. "Master, are you alright!? When you were thrown into the wall--did you break anything?"

Airiah pursed her lips as she watched Priscilla run over to Von, she gets up and moves back over to Captain. "Oh my gosh! Captain you're hurt!" she exclaims.
"Jee how nice of you to pay attention to me now" Captain grumbles and lifts his head up, "I'm fine, now let's go" he stands up, keeping his right hind leg off the ground.

Von smiled faintly at his servants he was still holding his side " it's most likely just a bruised rib... I'll live..." He Pat Priscilla on the head "how are you fairing?" He ask

Airiah stared at Captain's injured leg and eventually poked it, which caused him to hiss. "I think ya broke something" she pokes it again and he shoos her away with his tail, "It's bruised not broken and you poking it, doesn't help"

The white-haired girl looks her Master over with concern, not feeling very reassured by his words. "I want you to rest until you get better, alright Master Von? No more fighting dragons or following suspicious characters for a while... please?"

Von did a silent chuckle to himself at his servants request, and held his side with the discomfort he felt from his injury " very well Priscilla" he spoke with a claim tone, The Warlock using his staff as a walking stick he made his way over to where he discarded his robe, gritting his teeth he leans down and picks it up and put it back on, and pulls the hood up covering his hair.

Airiah noticed Von's pain, she skips over to him, "Let me help you, it's the least I can do" she gently presses her fingers to his injured side and they glow, heat radiates into his injured side and soon his pain disappears completely.

Von claim blinked in surprised as the fiery haired girl heal him //...She a healer?...And a pretty good one...//he thought to myself as he pain in the Warlock side subsided completely. "....Thank you...." Von made sure his hood was up, he didn't particularly care for people being so close to him, but with Airiah been near him he could Observer her a little better now, casually look at her again she puzzled the Warlock more with her long tail and feather plumage

Von was quite for a while before answering her "....my name is Von, Von the red wolf...." the Warlock turn his gaze away from the girl "...Its nice to meet you Airiah...." stepping back Von tape his staff and it gave off a little red glow Illuminating the area around, he then looks to his servant "...It's would be best to find a way out of this cave..."

"Von, Von the red wolf, nice to meet you!" Airiah follows behind him, Captain shakes his head and gets ready to follow them from the shadows, only his eyes and markings on his face could be seen.

Smiling happily, the white-haired girl follows her Master and new friend. She glances behind her, one time, and notices Captain following along as well, and that unnerves her, causing Priscilla to walk closer to Von. "... Are dragons always so... creepy...?" she quietly asks.

Von nodded his head "....It's not uncommon for dragons to have ill tempers...But some can be more then others..." He said was he continues leading the way through the Maze of tunnels, The Warlock stop he raised his staff and moved it slowly side to side lighting several passageways //... Just great...//

Airiah didn't like Priscilla's comments, she wanted to show her that not all dragons were bad and scary, in fact she was determined to do so. When she noticed all the passageways, she started doing eenie meanie minie mo and pointed to the far right one, "That way! My gut tells me so!"

Von watched the fiery haired girl play her game and point to one of the passageways, the Warlock sigh " .... alright..." Von keep his staff position in front of them lighting the way down the dark and dank tunnel, the Warlock was claim but he keep his sense alert for anything in the shadows

Airiah taps her little clawed feet on the ground excitedly, "Let's hope it leads outside! Or maybe it leads to treasure! Or or or orrrrr a monster!" she squees excitedly, Captain limps up to her, now in his human form. "Airiah calm down would ya?"

Priscilla giggles a little at Airiah's behaviour, and nudges Von gently with her elbow. "Come on, Master Von, don't be so glum! ... It's kind of like an adventure, isn't it?"

listening to Airiah and Priscilla's enthusiasm Von thought to himself.

Von glance over at his servant raising his eyebrow as he walks in silence for a moment, he look up in thought with his servants words " ...Most anything can be seen as an adventure it's just one perspective..." He said

Airiah nodded to Captain and noticed his limp, she moved to his leg and healed him the way she did with Von. Afterwards running over to Prescilla, "What are you? Are you a shapeshifter? You've got such a cute tail!" she grabs the fluff on Priscilla's tail and squeals happily.

(haha my new cell don't like the name Airiah it keep changing it to airhead or Ariel X'D but I found where to put it in for manual dictionary I had to do that for Hiiro and Eira to and Terra XP )

Letting out a surprised yelp as Airiah grabs her tail, the white-haired humanoid tilts her head slightly. "Oh, I don't know... but I might be a unicorn! ... Or something. I can't shapeshift, though. At least, I don't think so... If I can, I don't know how to do it."

"A unicorn!?" Airiah laughs, "But you don't have a horn on your head" she gestures to her own forehead, "Maybe you got to focus hard, like you're tryna push out a really stubborn poop or something"

"Ya just gotta squeeze it out!" Airiah puffs up her cheeks, squeezing her eyes shut, her face goes bright red as she starts pretending to 'shift'
Captain rolls his eyes and chuckles a bit at Airiah's display

Turtlee crashed through the roof, carrying fireworks and various explosives.

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!" She screamed, before setting herself on fire and exploding along with the rockets.

Giggling a little more, Priscilla nods and smiles. "Alright, I'll try it..." Mimicing Airiah, she squeezes her eyes shut and puffs out her cheeks...

and then...!

... Absolutely nothing happens.

Airiah bursts out laughing when she sees Priscilla doing it too, failing to the ground and wheezing with laughter.

Captain just keeps walking, shaking his head at their shenanigans.

I got to start the fire at work today and I have to keep an eye on how hot it gets, so far I got it up to 275 but it's still not hot enough X'D but it feels hot to me though my eyebrows were going to catch fire when I was putting more wood in it. 'Xs

About 3 hours (real time, not playback) into @Shadow's request, have yet to add any color to the dragon. And I've got another headache, so time to finish it later :P

About 2 hours on the timer for me, and that includes the original sketches. I'm aiming for 3D and almost lineless, too :'3
