in canon n'rhaj actually used to have long hair when he was nine-fourteen but cut it off when he was 15
he also cut off ye'aki's because they were on the run at the time and couldnt take care of longer hair like they used to
when n'rhaj was seventeen-nineteen he had this hairstyle but then let it grow out a bit

actual reason for his hair change was because at the time i was struggling to draw hair in general
