The satellite always retains its position because its gamma thrusters. The gamma thrusters are being charged by the gamma jet stream. The reason why no one is fighting around the disc. After the attackers lost. They got shot with the focused gamma jet. Their planet instantly broke up. Due to the hundreds of millions of mega jools into the planet. Rupturing the crust and soon destroyed the mantle. After the lower mantle was destroyed. The core was blown up. The dust flew everywhere and the planet remains in massive chuncks shot through their solar system.
