Joey's not angry and Kaji's not crying, it's a miracle.
Some Alkians believe that people represent aspects of nature and that it shows compatability, predicts future events, and reveals other interesting personality traits. Kaji's really into it, and Shade thinks it's dumb (b/c she sees the future and thinks nature has nothing to do with it).
Giving Joey little feathers was a good decision, it makes his head easier to draw.

so is joey all about superstition and myths n stuff and shade is firmly skeptical of all of it?
what if there was an episode where joey and kaji dragged everyone out to the woods to search for the alkian equivalent of big foot and shade was bein a party pooper the whole

dangit ever time I almost get used to drawing someone they change. Oh well, I've liked most of the recent changes.
Maybe you should consider trying out some pointed straight lines for Joey's feathers :u because the way it is right now just kinda looks like hair like everyone else's
