Re: That, I'm not actually completely sure. I'm thinking the cat (Beth, a friend of mines character) was poking him a bunch with a stick (something she likes doing xD) and it annoys Mercrow so much he didn't notice Zoaruah sneak up behind him. How he got it on I'm not quite sure. Maybe he was sleeping? I knew it might be improbable, but as a pic it was too hard to pass up xD

Your eyes disagree my guess is because orange and blue are complimentary colors. When they are placed next to each other they cause a vibration you could say that in a way tricks the eyes.
That plus colors has a terrible resolution when uploading plus the fact I cant art if my life depended on it.
The best way I believe I could have made it so your eyes were not bothered by it would be to change the color of the sky, maybe to night or a cloudy day? I'm not exactly sure. But I do appreciate the criticism for later pictures ^^
