They're no longer weird bird thingies, they're definitely mammalian now (they look virtually the same, they just have fur rather than feathers).
This is all in preparation for something new to their world ahah
Again, I'm just a nerd that does this for fun, not a scientist. There's definitely flaws

Aletar are probably better described as a mixture between a dog, a deer, a platypus, and an armadillo (scaly little feets) than a bird/cat mix. /:0

Usually the beak and the bone are left after they've died. The cartilage, like a shark's skeleton, eventually decays. c:
