Sorry, but I need to get this out of the way before I continue writing.

I honestly intended to upload this when the games came out, but one or two things came up, so I had to delay the release. But the last thing I was gonna do was let you guys down, so I continued to work on this, I even went as far as postponing my playthrough of Pokemon Moon (And avoiding spoilers, obviously) just so I could finish. I didn't want any other generations to be forgotten either, so I decided to look back to Gen 6(sorta...). In fact, I had this scenario in mind since the Sun and Moon demo was revealed, so why not?

Oh, and if you're wondering why Fabi's in her super form, let's just say that it helps intensify her bond with Zap, even when she was already Mega Evolved.

It's all good, girl!! Looks intense, though!

Just so you know, I'm still reading your comic. I wanna keep up on it and stuff. And I won't comment any critics until the story is finished :)

Fabi: *interupts* That's not what I mean. Think about it, ever since we completed our island trial, battles have gotten a bit too easy, and its gonna be a while before the Pokemon League opens up. I... I just don't feel like there's any challenge in these anymore...
Zap: *worried face* Fabi, you should know by now that just because there's no difficulty in something doesn't mean you're truely the best you can be. Maybe we can go through some battles at the Battle Tree? Those are always a challenge.
Fabi: Sure, but still...

[Unnoticed by our duo, a Pikachu watches from a somewhat distant tree.]

Pikachu: Pika... *ponders before receiving a flashback*

Reply: Yeah I know I'm probably wrong at this point. That picture was made when the Ultra Beasts and the Aether foundation were announced. It was long before the game's release. But I'm glad you liked the idea!

[When the two arrived, they found both Fabi and Zap (a year younger) battling against a certain madman's machine.]

Fabi: Just give up, doc! You won't get anywhere like this!
Robotnik: As if I would listen to a weak-minded traitor like yourself! *charges a laser, which is powered by several Electric-Type Pokemon trapped inside, harming them in the process*
Zap: Grrr... Why you son of a-
Fabi: ZAP! Watch it, and use Fairy Wind!
Zap: Okay, okay! *blows Fairy Wind at machine, mildly damaging it* NOT WORKING!
Fabi: Try not to overreact! There has to be some sort of opening through all of that metal!
Robotnik: Why you...! *uses robot to try and punch Zap*
Zap: AIIIE! *dodges while examining the robot* I don't see any holes!

Fabi: Then we'll MAKE one! Try using your Quick Attack with all you've got!
Zap: *dodges punches from robot and uses Quick Attack, making a dent in the armor*
Robotnik: Ha! You honestly think a weak hit like that will work? And I thought you were smart. *prepares to charge another laser*

???: {whisper} Pikachu, we have to do something!
Pikachu: Pika?
???: We can't just sit here and watch! Someone has to help. Now come on! *runs to a bush behind Fabi and Zap*
Pikachu: Pika pi... *follows*

Zap: *makes another dent with Quick Attack* This isn't doing enough!
Fabi: Calm down! We'll think of something!
Robotnik: Sorry fools, but your time is up! *fires laser cannon*
Fabi & Zap: *flinch and brace for impact*

(Suddenly, a Thunderbolt is fired from somewhere and counters the blast, causing an explosion.)

Robotnik: WHAT?!
???: I won't allow it!
Fabi & Zap: Huh? *turn to see a trainer they do not recognize, said trainer having a Pikachu on his shoulder*
Fabi: {to Zap} Who is that?

Zap: Nobody I recognize.
???: As much as I'd want to introduce myself, that robot has to go! Pikachu, Iron Tail!
Pikachu: Pika! *makes a dent in the robot using Iron Tail*
Robotnik: Grrr... You insolent pests! *activates a mechanical arm, grabbing Pikachu*
???: Pikachu!
Pikachu: Pika pi! *struggles*
Fabi: No! Grrr... Okay, THAT'S IT! *runs towards mechanical arm, holding a high-frequency blade*
Zap: Fabi, don't!
Robotnik: Foolish girl! Don't you know not to rush in so recklessly! *charges laser*
Fabi: I HAVE MY REASONS! *jumps and slices mechanical arm, freeing Pikachu*
Pikachu: Pika pi!
???: Pikachu! *catches Pikachu* You alright, buddy?
Pikachu: Pika!
Fabi: *lands* Your welcome! Now Zap, give that thing a Fairy Wind! Full force!
Zap: Got it! *uses Fairy Wind, managing to create a small hole in the robot's armor*
Robotnik: WHAT?!
Fabi: Alright, now let's end this with a Thundershock!
???: Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!
Zap: Lights out, Nosehair! *fires Thundershock at the hole*

[Just like that, the robot overloads, Robotnik only barely escaping before it exploded.]

Robotnik: I'll get you next time, you insolent pests! *flees on his Eggmobile*
Fabi: Hmph. Good riddance... *runs to the Pokemon that were trapped* Are you all okay?

[Knowing they were safe, the various Pokemon nodded in response.]

Fabi: Phew! Thank goddness...
Zap: *runs to Fabi* {to Pokemon} Now you guys stay out of trouble, alright?

[After nodding at Zap's words, the various Pokemon ran to the depths of the forest, likely to their homes.]

Fabi: *sigh* I swear, if that madman does anything like that again, I'll-
Zap: Woah! Let's not get carried away here! We don't even know his plans!
Fabi: *deep breath* Okay. {to ???} Thanks for helping us out there. Name's Fabi, and that's Zap.
Zap: Hiya!
???: *kneels down* I've never seen a Kirlia like that before.
Zap: It's a long story.
Fabi: *hears her watch beep* Huh? *checks*

Fabi: Oh no no no! {to Zap} We're gonna miss the boat!
Zap: *eyes widen* Then what are we standing around for?! COME ON! *grabs Fabi's hand and runs towards the nearest ferry terminal*

???: *smiles* {to Pikachu} We should probably move on with our journey too. Right, buddy?
Pikachu: Pika, pikachu!

Pikachu: *remembers Fabi and Zap* PIKA!
Fabi: *hears* W-What was that?!
Zap: Probably just a wild Pokemon.

[The Pikachu then jumps down from the tree, attempting not to be seen. However, as it sneaks away, it accidentally steps on a small branch, snapping it.]

Pikachu: Pika...
Fabi: *hears the sound and sees Pikachu* THERE!
Pikachu: Pi! *starts running away*
Zap: Hey! Wait up, little guy! *runs after Pikachu*
Fabi: H-Hey! Wait! *follows*

[As our duo chases the Pikachu, they are eventually led to a clearing in the forest, the sun shining down on them.]

Zap: *also shields eyes* What, did a Pokemon use Sunny Day or something?
Pikachu: *shakes head side to side* Pika.
Fabi: *adjusts to brightness* There, now where was I? *remembers* Oh yeah. {to Pikachu} What was with you running off like that anyway?
Pikachu: *sad face* Pikachu...
Fabi: *picks up Pikachu* Don't be sorry, I'm the one who scared you in the first place.
Zap: {to Pikachu} So, what are doing in a place like this anywa- WAIT A MINUTE! *takes a closer look at Pikachu, realizing which one it was* I remember you! You're that Pikachu who helped us against Eggman that one time!
Fabi: *remembers* That's right! But where's its trainer? *scans surroundings* Nope, nowhere in sight.
Zap: {to Fabi} Do you even remember what that kid looked like?
Fabi: Well, I- *ponders* He's a Mobian, obviously...
Zap: And?
Fabi: *ponders but fails to remember* Okay, I got nothing. But that kid never told us his name, what do you expect?

Fabi & Zap: AIIEE! *flinch and brace themselves in fighting positions*
Fabi: Wh-Who's there?
Zap: Show yourself!
???: Whoa, hold on! I didn't mean to scare you! *walks out from a bush, revealing that he is wearing a white cloak over his clothes*
Pikachu: Pika pi! *runs to the person, jumping onto his shoulder*
Fabi: *deep breath* Phew! {to ???} You know, you didn't have to come out so suddenly...
Zap: *glances at Pikachu's trainer* Isn't it a little too warm for you to wear that cloak? Speaking of which, where'd you get it anyway?
???: I got it from the Kalos Battle Chateau. *takes off cloak, showing that he's wearing a black T-shirt under a blue short-sleeved shirt, a pair of jeans and red and black sneakers*
Fabi: Enough about your wardrobe! Why are you here?
???: Do you remember receiving a letter along with a ferry ticket? *lets Pikachu off his shoulder to go get something*

Fabi: Well, yeah, its the reason why we're here.
Zap: But the sender didn't write their name, so- Hold on, how did you know about us coming here?
???: Well... I-
Pikachu: Pika pi! *runs back to its trainer with a red cap on its head*
???: *takes the hat off Pikachu's head* Thanks, Pikachu. *pets Pikachu, putting the cap on his head*
Fabi: {thinks} Now that I think about it, that kid kind of looks familiar, but aside from when we met, where have I seen this kid before?

*flashback*

[The Kalos Pokemon League was being filmed on TV, and our duo sees the same trainer they met in Kanto, battling with Pikachu against a Metagross. Pikachu was holding onto Metagross's head while it struggled to get Pikachu off.]

???: Now, Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!
Pikachu: PiiikaCHUUU! *shocks Metagross with Thunderbolt, defeating it*

*flashback end*

Fabi: *gasp*
Zap: Fabi, pal? You okay?
Fabi: {to ???} Y-You're...
???: *turns around and slightly tips his cap, revealing two determined brown eyes*

Zap: Wait, so you DO know who this kid is?
Fabi: {to Zap} *sigh* Remember one of those days when we didn't have much to deal with? Well, we saw the Kalos League on TV, and this kid was one of the two finalists!
Zap: *remembers* Oh, right! Though we didn't see the entire thing, so we don't know much about how he battles.
Fabi: Yeah, and aside from Pikachu, we don't know much about his Pokemon either...
Ash: Then I guess you'll come up with a plan as the battle goes on.
Pikachu: *runs in front of Ash* Pika! Pi-Pikachu!
Fabi: {thinks to self} He likely has other Pokemon with him, so... *grabs a Pokeball from her belt* {speaks} Okay, Roserade, YOU'RE UP! *sends out a shiny Roserade*
Roserade: Rose-Rade!
Zap: What? Why Roserade?
Fabi: {to Zap} Pikachu's an Electric Type, so you're Thunderbolt won't do as much damage. Plus, Roserade has a resistance to Electric moves.
Zap: Oh, fine! *walks aside to watch*

Ash: {thinks} What do I do? Electro Ball won't budge... *ponders before getting an idea* That's it! {speaks to Pikachu} Pikachu, use your Iron Tail to apply some more force!
Pikachu: PIKA! Chu... PIKA! *slams Iron Tail on Electro Ball, causing it to blast through Roserade's Weather Ball, carrying remenants of it as it hurdled towards Roserade*

Zap: Carbink? Really? I thought you would go for a more offensive choice?
Fabi: {to Zap} Noivern's also part Flying Type, so Carbink - being a Rock/Fairy Type - can resist damage from most of its moves along with taking no damage from Dragon Type moves. Besides, I want the others to get some rest for now.
Zap: Oh, fine!
Fabi: Don't worry! You'll get your turn eventually! {to Ash} Ready, Ash?
Ash: Right! Noivern, use Supersonic!
Noivern: *fires Supersonic at Carbink*
Carbink: *hit by Supersonic* Bink! *gets confused*
Fabi: Oh, great, just great. Let's just hope Carbink's defenses keep it up long enough.
Ash: Alright, now use Boomburst!
Noivern: *fires waves of intense sound energy at Carbink*
Carbink: *hit by Boomburst* Bink!

Fabi: *sigh* {to Zap} You didn't have to interupt me like that, you know... {to Carbink} Now, use Sharpen!
Carbink: Car! Bink... *raises attack power with Sharpen*
Fabi: Now use Stone Edge!
Carbink: Bink! *creates several stone pillars that home in on Noivern*
Ash: Dodge it, quick!
Noivern: *flies to avoid getting hit, but eventually gets hit* Vern! *quarter damaged*
Ash: Are you alright, Noivern?
Noivern: Vern!
Fabi: {thinks} Can't let them get any ideas... {speaks to Carbink} Use Moonblast!
Carbink: Bink! *fires Moonblast at Noivern*
Ash: Block it with Boomburst!
Noivern: *fires Boomburst at the Moonblast*

[As the Boomburst collides with the Moonblast, a cloud of smoke is formed, once again blocking out the trainers' view.]

Ash: Now, Acrobatics!
Fabi: {thinks} Oh no, if I remember correctly, Noivern's able to see through the smoke... {speaks to Carbink} Quick, Iron Defense!
Carbink: *uses Iron Defense to reduce damage from Noivern's Acrobatics*

[After a few seconds, the smoke clears up the field, revealing that Carbink took little to no damage from Noivern's previous attack.]

Fabi: Now, Stone Edge!
Ash: Dodge, and use Acrobatics!

[As Carbink uses Stone Edge, Noivern puts in all of its effort to try and dodge the attack, being hit a few times in the process.]

Noivern: *charges at Carbink using Acrobatics, nearly beaten*
Fabi: {to self} Heh... Talk about desperate... *smirks* {to Carbink} Moonblast!
Carbink: *stops Noivern's attack with Moonblast, the force strong enough to cause Noivern to be blown back*
Noivern: *lands on the ground and tumbles to a stop, defeated*

Ash: Noivern! *runs to Noivern, Pikachu following suit*
Fabi: Yes! We did it! *runs to Carbink*
Carbink: Bink-Bink! *hops into Fabi's arms*

Carbink: Bink... Car-bink... *hugs Fabi ((despite not having limbs))*

Fabi: {to Zap} What can I say? When you've been through as much stuff as I have, you can conjour up some unexpected things. *puts Carbink down* {to Carbink} Okay, little guy, let's get you some rest. You deserve it. *sends Carbink back to its Pokeball*
Ash: You alright, Noivern?
Noivern: *nods in response*
Pikachu: Pika...
Ash: You did your best, Noivern. Now get a good rest. *sends Noivern back to its Pokeball*
Fabi: {thinks} He's won a match, but so have I. Whoever wins this last match gets the overall victory...

Fabi: {thinks} There's no telling what Pokemon Ash will send out next, but since he's put up a good fight... {speaks} Zap, its finally your turn.
Zap: *gasp* YES! Finally! *jumps in front of Fabi* {to Fabi} Now, let's show them what we do best!
Fabi: *nods* Right.
Ash: {thinks} She's using her Gardevoir. I know that its able to Mega Evolve, so I guess I have no other choice... *grabs a Pokeball from his belt* Alright, Greninja, you're up! *sends out Greninja*
Greninja: Nin-ja!
Fabi: So he's using a Water and Dark Type, hmm? Zap, be careful. Your Psychic won't work on this guy. However, a Thunderbolt should do the trick, as well as that new move you learned a while back.
Zap: Got it! *asumes battle position*

Greninja: *fires Water Shuriken at Zap*
Fabi: Dodge it, quick!

Greninja: *creates several doubles of itself and avoids the incoming Thunderbolt*

Zap: *uses Supersonic on Greninja*

Ash: {thinks} Not good... {speaks} Try using Night Slash!
Greninja: *confused but manages to use Night Slash*
Fabi: I don't think so! Zap, Dazzling Gleam!
Zap: *fires off several beams of light at Greninja*
Greninja: *barely dodges, gettting damaged mildly in the process*
Ash: Yes! Keep it up!
Greninja: *snaps out of confusion and lands Night Slash on Zap*
Zap: Yeouch! *suffers critical hit and is blown back, hitting a nearby tree*
Fabi: Zap! *runs to where Zap had landed*

Greninja: *fires Water Shuriken at Zap*
Fabi: Dodge it!
Zap: Right! *dodges attack*
Ash: {thinks} Wait for it... *waits until Zap gets close* {speaks} Now, Aerial Ace!
Greninja: *lands Aerial Ace on Zap before she could counterattack*
Fabi: Don't give up! Dazzling Gleam!
Zap: *uses Dazzling Gleam on Greninja*
Greninja: *halfway damaged*
Ash: Greninja!
Fabi: Time to end this... Thunderbolt!
Zap: Lights out! *fires Thunderbolt at Greninja*
Ash: This isn't over yet! We'll keep battling, no matter what!

[Right before Zap's Thunderbolt could land, Greninja was suddenly cloaked in a veil of water, blocking the attack.]

Fabi: Torrent, already?
Ash: Not quite!
Zap: What is going on?!

[As Greninja was surrounded by the veil of water, certain details on its face began to morph, including the sides of its head and the addition of a different symbol on its chest, and red markings on its head began to glow brightly.]

Fabi: Okay, now I'm scared.
Zap: Me too!
Ash: Alright, use Aerial Ace!
Greninja: *charges at Zap, leaving an imprint in the ground as it took off*
Fabi: *snaps out of her daze* 'What am I doing? I can't get distracted by this!' ZAP, JUMP!
Zap: Huh? *sees Greninja charging towards her* YIKES! *barely dodges*

[Even with Zap dodging the attack, Greninja swiftly dashed behind Zap and delivered a blow to the top of her head, sending her crashing into the ground, simulatneously propelling Greninja into the air.]

Zap: *gets up* Ugh, ouch...
Fabi: You okay?
Zap: Aside from a major headache, yes.
