Art block? by alexis249
I haven't been able to get new ideas or the muse to draw so much recently. It may be because I started to dislike my work which may be either me comparing my art to others or the fact I rarely get praise when I think I made something really good. And it's not just here, my family doesn't really praise me for my work anymore, they would always say "This is all you draw" "You should draw something different" or something similar, or nothing at all. Even when I do make something different, they don't say much.
I do thank those who do comment and tell me that it looks good.
I think that the main problem that I rarely draw anymore is because of art block or the fact I don't get any praise for it. I'm not thinking it's the greatest thing that had ever been drawn, I just like to know that I am still doing well. When I don't get told, my pride in my work lowers and it makes me not draw as much and dislike how it looks to me.
Idk if this counts as a rant, but I apologize if it is, I just have a lot on my shoulders right now and I don't have many people I can talk to that would understand (my family and friends that go to school with me.)

What Silver can. Your art is amazing, but it doesn't hurt to challenge yourself. Think positive! If you want, you can also draw #TonyatheDragon or #TyresetheHyena
