as much as i want to avoid stress about this election. i read somewhere that when trump gets into office, you cant change your name if youre trans??? now, i dont entierly believe this since that seems more like a state power than a presidential, but im still shook.
being a closeted trans male, i want to legally change my name to erik so badly, but im too scared to come out since last time i was shut down, online is my one safe place, im contemplating telling my friend so ill have another safe

its just scary, first trump wins, then a bomb threat at my tech school, and now worry for my future god im just gonna try and stop thinking about this

no, i know it takes more than him just saying it, there are powers that belong to the states and powers that belong to the government, legally changing your name i think is a state power, its just scary to think about if it was possible for him to prevent that
