He is a sailor- a captain of one of the few ships in the land of Kirubi due to the high risk and dangers of open ocean exploration but still he and his two friends venture over oceans to discover the untouched land and bring back things for their families! Sadly when young his home was struck with a freak hurricane from the west and he found three of his five childhood friends dead- one of which was skewered on a fence post. Traumatic events can scar the mind and break mental strings. And if the wrong one is broken it can lead to Dark-Eye disorder. Asken got dark-eye and as the disorder does it gave him several problems including fainting if stood still for too long and insomnia.
His boat goes by the name of "Asking Waves" and he and his remaining two friends own it and you could even say that they live on it due to the amount if time they spend on it.
He's a very cold character with a very "fatherly" personality. He can be very smug and rude at times or very demanding. But he is very friendly and cheerful. He acts very childish, laughing at bad jokes and betting on the impossible but he can be very serious when necessary.
His friends and himself supply one of the largest amounts of fish to Kateorus and sells rare items from islands to towns and villages they pass. They are known by many names but the main ones are "the waves answer" and "Optic Manias" due to them all having an eye disorder.
