Sams mom is a witch and her dads a normal human. while her mom encourages sam and chloe to explore the forest her dad is strongly against it because he feels its too dangerous. her younger sister has no magic powers and while mom thinks thats sad dad finds in relieving. the families looked down on by people in the town for being witches. magic causes a lot of tension here. Chloe spends more time at Sam's house than her own
