Sadly, I think I need to stop entering DTAs and adopting characters until I can get to drawing the ones I have already adopted, so I'll have to pass this time. xP
Re: Lol! I'm not kidding you though - for your age, those sketches were pretty outstanding. And thank you. ^-^
Haha, no matter how much I wish I could help you, I honestly have no experience with drawing wolves. The few that you may see me draw are referenced off of pictures or other artists' depictions because I can't draw one on my own yet. Really, the only advice I can give you is to reference pictures of wolves until you can get the hang of them. Of course, tracing is not highly accepted, but it's a fact that we learn how to draw something by looking at what's already there - God's creation - so I encourage you to at least look at photos as you draw.
this looks quite good! you have a fairly good grasp of where everything is anatomy wise. if i were to suggest a few things, i guess it would be too make the legs just a touch longer, but not much, and perhaps the back a little bit longer? overall its good. i would look at images of hind legs, just to get a good grasp of where each joint and bend is as the hind legs "knee joint" is a bit to close to the body. otherwise it looks great!
Re: Using a physical paw as reference is one of the best ways to learn! Tell your dog that, and maybe he/she will oblige to your poking around. xD Even if you can't get one of your cats or dogs to show you their paws, there is a plethora of photos and drawings on the internet. There are also some really good tutorials out there (at least, that I found to be useful) - I can send you a few links if you have a hard time finding the right ones.
