This is the city (and surrounding area) that the vast majority of my characters dwell in.
A futuristic city that's strifed with a whole truckload of internal issues, it's strangely isolated in the smack middle of a vast, empty(ish) prairie, which could also be accurately referred to as a robot graveyard.
The history of which exact ancient war is responsible for the strange mechanical artifacts that litter it is lost, but everyone in the city is absolutely terrified of the prairie. There's a lot of paranoid, spooky folklore about it as a result.
