I'm still looking forward to the Alolan Moewth line, it's CERTAINLY better than the new Digglett line....

Yeah I know right, all that nintendo did was trying to do something ''original'' and put a wig on a digglet and its family, then tried to pass it off as an alolan form and yet they still can't think of a design for a mega flygon

And here I vainly had my fingers crossed for an Alolan Golduck

That and nintendo had one chance to make great and unique forms of beloved pokemon and what did they do... they failed miserably at it of course. There is literally so much they could of done with a alolan geodude or diglett, heck with diglett could of just shown what it actually fully looks like and not just a head in the ground with a mop thrown on it.

I have ALWAYS hated the Digglet line. Always.
An Alolan form was a chance for me to finally like this line of ground types and now I hate them more than ever.
Like you said, just show off their bodies! That would have been good enough!
Heck, at this rate a color change would have been better than this...
My one hope now is that it has an awful typing or stats so I never have to see it in the meta...

That and what they did to golem by making it have the beard of a character from street fighter or some fighting game and also by giving it the lines that machoke has on its head instead of doing something like making it based of volcanic rock or even doing the opposite and making it a giant snow ball like alolan sandslash. With the designs of the alolan forms in mind I won't be suprised at all if they introduce the hair type or something along those lines like what they did with the fairy type in gen 6.

I'm perfectly fine with fairy type (even if it hurt my precious dark types).
But if they added a 'hair' type I'd just throw my arms up.
Seriously, I'm very lenient on a good design! I like Garbordor and Embore and lots of others that get hate... but I don't get why some of these Alolan forms have to be sooooo bad!
Ninetails and Sandslash look fabulous! Where was that creativity for these others?
I honestly think these less popular ones got the short end of the design cre just because they were unpopular... and now will be forever...

At this rate who knows what the future of pokemon is going to be like if these are the ''new'' and ''improved'' forms of the pokemon. One thing I hope for now is if they do have mega's in the game that they at least put effort into their designs compared to the lack of effort put into some of the alolan forms. Hopefully these are the only bad alolan forms in the game when it actually comes out because as the future of pokemon and nintendo looks quite grim at this point...

There are few new pokemon coming out I don't like. Except the anchor.
I am dubious about the ultra beasts and yes, some of the alolan forms are arse but the minority rather than the majority are like that.
This is the first time they introduced regional forms so who knows? Maybe the eighth installment they'll cover Jhoto pokemon and do better by them.
Fingers crossed for an awesome new Houndoom.
I can't say much for megas. I really have a bucket of issues with even the good megas... Honestly, if they drop megas totally I, for one, won't complain
