I'll give you a little tip. Use a solid black background and paint with 3/4 thickness. It helps the black show through and also helps with the illusion of a 3D solid object.

Shapes. Draw with shapes! Look at you subject matter and break it down into simple shapes. Anyone can draw anything but first you must study the anatomy of the object you are drawing. Draw in chunks, break it down into simple, basic shapes and really, really study it! :)

I draw pics like that, too in drawing lessons at school :) So I can tell that yours is absolutely stunning. The human´s anatomy is very difficult to study... I sometimes have my problems with that ;)

the breath just left me... you have captured the gorgeous lines, curves, silhouette, & beautiful draping that Michaelangelo acheived in his orig. sculpture. even the seeming softness of the flesh was done quite well! this is my first glimpse of your work but definitely not my last: i'm keeping my eye out for any new work by you as well as visiting your gallery directly after finishing this comment. Well done! oh, & you would do well to check out "Maxattack"'s gallery (he commented above). while he is not a 'classical' artist, he is most definitely one of the most unique & creative artists i've had the privilage to come across: he has wonderful brush strokes, & an eye for colour you have to see to believe...he has quite a following on facebook but not on here (tragic!). It's so great to be able to c()nne with such obvious talent like yourself! Keep up the amazing work!-Anoia
