Even in modern-day Wanderjahria, Imps harbour extremely parental feelings towards thier eggs.
To leave an egg anywhere outside of one's knowledge is unthinkable. Its so abhorable, in fact, that Imps would carry an egg with them while investigating a mysterious object which fell from the sky and into the woods.
