Not a problem Whaley! Lol glad to have you with us!!! Ok so a quick recap. Basically the main group is still at the hotel after corvell crashed the party. Corvell kidnapped Dorian and malakai chased after them. But then Dorian turned on malakai and shot him in the knee with an arrow. (Or just below the knee). Toren caught up with them just in time to see Dorian leave with Corvell willingly. Then he carried malakai back to the hotel for medical help. So that's currently where all of the main group is besides Dorian. In the meantime, Dorian found out that corvell is seeking information on the artifact as I links to his old mentor. Corvell needed Dorians help to infiltrate the high library in the wealthy district for said information. In exchange, corvell said he wouldn't kill toren or harm the group. They have now successfully gotten into the library and cleared it of civilians using Corvell's status as a hunter, and Dorian playing as the victim to scare everyone off. And that's where we have left off.

Hmmm alrighty. Well. Let's start then before it gets too late! The question is... where to start. Lol
Corvell gazed through the pages of the old tattered book of years past. Concentrating on every writen word as he silently red in the libraries now empty halls. The sound of the flipping pages ecoed in its vast open spaces and off of the marble and stone walls.

Malakai is dozing on the couch, feeling like he might actually be dying of boredum, "Stupid bossy dragon" he growls out the Inn's window

A tearing sound broke the silence as corvell tore a particular page that caught bis attention out of the old book and folded it into his pocket. He could have taken the entire book he though, but he figured it's information would be better kept safe in a place ment for books. /Afterall, if others were after this information, then wouldn't finding a particular needle in a stack of needles be harder then finding it where it stands out?/ he thought. He had to hurry or the curator of the library might be suspissious at the sudden onset of silence. Corvell quickly tore out a couple more pages of interest and then placed the old book back where it belonged.
"Alrighty then!" He sang. "Just one more thing to do" he looked towards Dorian with a grin on his face.

Toren stared out into the empty streets. Dawn was upon them and soon the city would be alive with other people besides the early risers. Should he go after Dorian alone? Or stay behind and wait for the others? Toren couldn't decide, but his subconscious forced his feet forward as he headed off into the heart of the city.

Malakai opened the window and leaned out it, his stomach resting on the sill, "This is so boring, can't I just chase after Dorian and bite him?" he asks himself

Corvell struck up a little tune as we waltzed towards Dorian, more of a grin coming across his face. "Yup!" He continued towards Dorian, "just, tying up loose ends,"

Toren continued through the city streets as they became more lively, yet his mind was blank. He wasn't sure what to do or even where to go, but he was going anyways.

With a quick step forward corvell sent one of his curled up fists straight into Dorians jaw followed by a strong kick to the stomach to send him backwards into a shelf of books. All the while his uneasily happy little tune echoing the coridor amount the crashing noises of the books.

Fiacail took notice of the tense anxiety that Adara was expressing, and while he himself was fumbling his hands with uncertainty, he acknowledged in an attempt to comfort her," Do not worry. I don't know why, but I get the slightest notion that Dorian will, perchance, return, still drawing breath." He turned to Malakai and deliberately shook his head. "I'm afraid it's too late to potentially stir up any more trouble tonight."

Malakai casts a glare at Fiacial, "It's already the morning time, you blind dolphin, and it's never too late" a myscheivous grin spreads across his face

(MUAHAHAHA I AM HAVE ING WAY TOO MUCH FUN WITH THIS! )

Corvell reached down and grabbed corvell by the collar hoisting up to his feet, only to knock him back one last time with aN upper cut to Dorians chin. He shook the blood off his black clawed hands. "Alrighty then, I think we're done" he smiled and walked over to where Dorian lay. Grabbing him again and dragging him behind him towards the entrance of the library.

(Corvell reached down and grabbed Corvell by the collar, that takes some talent lolol)

Toren knew drain could not be far. But, but should he really go after them? Alone? It wouldn't matter what he though. Eventually he would meet up with them. Right? He growled to himself as the noise of the city continued to grow. The sun steadily getting higher in the clear sky.

(.... woops..... thats supposed to say Dorian obviously. ......)

(Although knowing corvell I think he could manage that in his state of Slight insanity lol)

(Man my spelling is a mess. I'm writing so fast I can't spell....)

Fiacail blinked in embarrassment at failing to realize the former. He'd easily lost track of time. He faced the phoenix girl once again as he now better understood what she felt. He admitted that an uncomfortable suspense was eating away at him as well. He cleared his throat. "I suppose...we could investigate. Why, I'd be fibbing if I were to say that I was not concerned about the outcome of our ally's survival..." He could still feel Kai's eyes burning into him like hot coals as his lips formed the word 'ally'.

(Whoa...Too many "he"s in that last comment. :O)

Malakai starts climbing out the Inn's window, tired of doing nothing, he swings his legs over and yelps in pain as his injured leg hits the ground. He's crouched on the porch of the Inn, clutching his leg and hissing curses under his breath

( @KJ ROFL I bet Corvell and his imaginary twin ((Corvell)) braid each other's hair. XD)

Corvell exited the library, Dorians beaten and bloody body dragged behind him.
"Behold!" He exclaimed as the library curator cautiously made his way over to corvell.
"Well, good. But arn't you going to kill it? That's what I'm paying you for!" The old man scouled.
"Well yes." Corvell replied In a somewhat snooty tone. "But I figured you wouldn't want that much blood on your carpets." He held out his clawed hand for his payment. "These things are messy you know. In order to properly sell a dead harpy you need all the feathers you can get. I'd probably skin him, take off what remains of his limbs, and -"
"I got it!" The curator cut him off, gaging a little, and handed him a large purse of coin. Corvell grinned.
"Many thanks" and with that he was off, dragging Dorian behind him as he skipped away from the library and out of sight. Once hidden away he dropped Dorian. "That was fantastic! Good show old sport!" He chimed, quite happy with his performance.

Sirius had decided the couch was a good sleeping spot and he woke up with Malakai's impact to the ground. He got up in a rush and forgetting he was on a couch fell to the floor. He stumbled up and noticed the crew outside. He exited and greeted them. "Good morning guys."

(Lololol that's right corvell! Muahaha corvell and his twin braideach others hair behind Dorians back.... unless.... plot twist Dorian is Corvell's twin!!! Duh duh duuuuu

Toren continued through the streets. Until some hug caught his attention and snapped him out of his blank state. People seemed to be gossiping about an uproar near the high library. I wasn't too far away. 10 maybe 20 minutes?

Malakai stood up, balancing on one leg, "Goodmorning Sirius" he replies rather dryly, "I can track you know? I have a sharp nose Adara" he taps it in demonstration

The cetacean shapeshifter grasped at his chin as he pondered."Hmm..." Abruptly, a small scrap of parchment fluttered in the dawn breeze along with a peculiar feather.../How curious/, he thought, as he'd never seen such a large black feather before..."Wait a moment!" he exclaimed aloud. The parchment had plastered itself against a tree bough just outside the window, and he made haste to grab it before it was claimed once and for all by the wind as well as the feather. "Lady Adara, does this feather look familiar?" Fiacail searched her eyes as he held the aerodynamic object in front of her.

(Fiacail has the feather too. XD)

(Dangerously narrowed.)
"You did fantastic! As did I of couse" corvell took a bow, "and look! I even got paid!" He raised the coin purse, a smile upon his face. "Though I did get a little blood on my sash," he frowned.

(Dang it... XD Okay, see you in a bit, Koko!)

Sirius had no idea what the current conversation was as he just entered it but responded anyways, "I am also good at tracking." He fealt awkward as he had nothing else to say.

Corvell looked at Dorian puzzled. "What do you mean?" He asked confused. "Well obviously we had to make the performance life like, I mean, it wouldnt have been believable if you came out unscathed." He crossed his arms. "You didn't think I was actually going to kill you dId you?" He laughed as if he though Dorian was joking.

( @Raksha Aah... You were the only one without a nickname and I thought I already told you. I could change it, of course. :O)

"Obviously," corvell looked down at Dorian as he slumped against the wall. "I didn't think it was that hard to understand. Look, ill treat you to a meal with whay i earned" he huffed. The obe thing corvell didnt like was sharing his coin. "anyhoo! Look look I managed to get the information I need!" He changed the subject and took out the few pieces of paper he had ripped out of the old book. Ignoring Dorians glares.

Malakai hopped over to her and grabbed the feather, sniffing it, "Yeah I can" he narrowed his eyes, "I also remember his scent from when he attacked me" he glanced around, pausing a brief moment, "Where's Toren?"

Toren had made his way into the heart of the wealthy district. He ignored the odd looks and glares from the citizens around him, and soon found himself looking up at a large white building. The words library engraved in stone at the top...

(Oh. It was the first thing that popped into my head. XD Other than that, not sure why.)

Corvell quickly dragged Dorian to his feet, "alrighty then! Let's go eat!" He sang a cheery tune. "You can clean yourself up when we sit down to eat, I know a perfect place to go!"

Something else occured to Fiacail. "And while you're at it, Kai, could you take a whiff of this parchment as well? Maybe it'll provide a hint as to Dorian's location."

Malakai brought up a good point. "I've no clue. Come to think of it, I've not seen him around. My guess is that he's searching for, if he's not there already, Dorian's location."

He sighs inwardly and grabs it, sniffing the parchment, "I don't completely recognize the smell, it's stale and dry, kinda weird" he rubs his nose, "We should find Toren first then Dorian, we can't just go up to him without more power, since the hunter's with him"

Corvell sighed, "fine! I suppose we can eat later." He frowned and then slumped down to sit on the ground. He grabbed one of his many satchels attached to his harness and dig around a little.
"Here" he handed a little bottle and a roll of bandages to Dorian in a sort of apologetic way, yet didn't make any eye contact. He might be a little... off, but he wasn't stupid that's for sure. He then decided to read the pages now as he waited for Dorian to recoup.

Toren walked up to the libraries entrance. Being carful not to get to close when he noticed a rather frazzled librarian eyeing him suspiciously.

"A surprisingly wise deduction," Fiacail's eyes were wide, for he was impressed and simultaneously relieved that Malakai had some common sense, after all. "Now, where to find Toren..."

Kai starts peeling off his bandages, his leg was bright red and bled only small drops, "Good enough" he shrugs and shifts to his wolf form, pressing his nose to the ground he starts trying to pick up Toren's scent while memorizing Corvell's

"Ahhhhh!" Corvell jumped up from his spot clinging the old pages. "This changes everything!" He stuck his nose back towards the pages flipping through them quickly and discarding the ones he had read back into his bag. "If that's true then...." he mumbled to himself.

Toren was cautious. But he noticed that the library janitors were cleaning up something on the front steps. Blood. Toren growled to himself. Most likely Dorians. / Just what the heck was happening. And who exactly is corvell./ he thought. The blood was fairly fresh. They were definitly nearby.

(Ahh later Raksha!!! Twas fun! Hmmmm no really sure if I can control Dorian.)

(On another note, I actually will also have to be going soon. I can probs toss in a few more sentences, but I have to run out lunches to the brothers.)

The cetacean shapeshifter observed wolf-Malakai as the behemoth canine tried to distinguish their undecided leader's trail. Shielding his face from the acute morning light, he whispered to Adara,"The messes we keep getting ourselves into, hm?"

Dorian flinched as corvell jumped up, just incase. "Changes what?" Dorian asked annoyed. His head pounding a little at Corvell's loud announcement.
Corvell pranced over to Dorian and placed his clawed hands on his shoulder. "It means were partners" corvell grinned.

Fiacail winced as he heard shrieks of terror and gaping mouths as Malakai lumbered past. Then he couldn't help but smile a bit as he focused on his lovely phoenix. "Then again," he added in spite of his previous statement,"our group's coming together may very well be the best mess that's ever happened to me, and I'm sure, somehow, we all feel the same way."

(Woah, it's flooding like crazy in our area. This has almost never happened before, and because of it my sister can't get home from work. O_o)

Raven huffed and rolled his eyes.//No use in dawdling up here like an idiot// he thought to himself. The spider-centaur hesitated at first in terms of clambering out of the window in daylight, as there now were many onlookers."Whatever, I don't care what others think about me anymore," he muttered, yet he still threw on his cloak and was already halfway through the opening. He crawled carefully down the wall, meeting up with Adara and Fiacail. "So, the dwarf's playing hide-and-seek with Toren, Dorian, and an assassin, isn't he? Moron's gonna blow our cover in a body like-oh, who am I kidding?" He interrupted himself, not even needing to glance down at the extra appendages that were forever part of him.

(Thanks for your concern, @Whaley! ^-^ Living on the coast is pretty awful when it comes to hurricane season.)

(I can relate. :O We've had some pretty bad hurricanes in the past. Thank goodness few of them are ever particularly potent, but there was an exceptionally powerful one that hit when my dad was growing up.)

I've lived in Canada all my life, all we get it Tornadoes, Ice storms, blizzards, etc...all that fun stuff.

( @Kole: Lucky you! Florida was already hit once, and the same hurricane will be coming back to strike them again...

(I live in a pretty good place in terms of not having to worry much about severe weather. We pretty much only get hurricanes, tropical storms, severe thunderstorms, and extremely seldomly ((usually just accompanied by a hurricane or a storm with hurricane-force winds)) a tornado. And even then, it's always an F0-F1. Fortunately, I've never experienced one.)

Raven crossed his arms beneath his cloak, unamused by the situation. "Why do I even bother to fret over them?" he growled mostly to himself. He then returned his attention to Fiacail and Adara and eyed them. "So you're just gonna stand here while the dwarf gets himself killed?"
