Lobo (Wolf) did realise that he was raised by Ifugao (Girl) after his mother's death. Ifugao was a curious of nature's life a little lone hunter and protected Lobo since he was a pup. Now its Lobo's time to protect her.
The two characters were an inspiration of a ghibli movie Princess Mononoke.
