Von gets his cutie mark as a kid, after he kills an animal.
It's funny you asked that since I've been considering making a comic of when he got it, with wright, katherine and their parents asking him what he did that made it appear.
Ahh I need to make more stuff that gives insight to wright and von's relationship. XD
Wright wants to love his brother, but his brother inflicts much pain and suffering on others, which wright does not take kindly. Wright's had to deal with the aftermath of too many of von's kills.
Von himself wants to love wright (and, deep down, wants his support)
But that can't happen because von enjoys what he does and will not stop doing it, not even for his brother.
