You guys wanted to learn about Cores? Here you go!:
Cores can communicate with each other through either linking or co.nnecting (linking is platonic, co.nnecting is romantic). While linked up/co.nnected, Cores can exchange things such as thoughts, feelings, memories, and dreams. Of course, the Core can decide what info to share (or not to share!), so information can remain private if chosen to be.

During this process, the Cores' eyes change the color of their Core Element and show their symbols.
Linking and co.nnecting require physical contact, such as hand-holding, hugging, ect. Their Cores will also glow the color of their Core Element.
It's a very helpful process, especially when trying to understand complicated feelings. That's why Cores can become desperate to co.nnect with other Cores, they want to share those romantic feelings with each other. Co.nnecting is a VERY personal and loving experience. Linking is a lot more casual, typically used for information more than feelings, but linking up with friends to express platonic love is not uncommon.
A nice thing is there's no physical difference between linking and co.nnecting, so it's not embarrassing for the Cores.
Also, Joey and Blitz believe in aliens. Blitz claims to have been abducted.
Shade and Kaji don't believe in aliens.
This is actually the basis of an entire Halcyon episode, LOL.

Please make a plot twist at some point of 2 characters being in a fight, one punches the other and in that brief contact they manage to confess love for eachother.

THIS IS WAY COOLER THAN I EVER COULD HAVE IMAGINED CORES WOULD BE!! How cool - even w/ two different manners to co.nnect/link w/ one another! Your characters & all are so,impressively thought out! :]
