(Ok, here we go!){Vitis looks up at the dark dragon.}"You promised him revenge on his tribe? Then let's give that to him! To start, let's cause some civil unrest!"

Maldius sits before Vitis, his tail curled around himself. "Hmmm... that sounds like fun... I assume you already have a plan on how to achieve this?"

Crowley was in Solaris, having just gotten a local healer to bandage his injured wing. He was still deep in thought - a rather uncommon occurrance for him. //That guy knows some pretty neat magic,// he mused, referring to Maldius. //Maybe if he wasn't so stupid, I'd make him teach me how to use it myself.//

Ivy was still with Mac.

(Going to be inactive until I have something to do, but I'll keep watching.)

{Vitis grins.}"Aye, I do. But first, I need to confirm a rumor I heard. Are you up for a trip to Solaris?"

Mac had successfully gotten his wounds tended to. There was bandage wrapped around his chest and tail, as well as their usual spot around his ankles. He made his way to the big market area, expecting Ivy to follow. "My, Its cold today..."

Scratch muttered something under his breath, scribbling in the sand with his claw.

(Oooooh, if Maldius hears that Lenny's dead, he's going to be sooooooo saaallllltyyyyy... XP )

"A rumor? Of course I am. What rumor did you hear, if I may ask?" Maldius questions, raising an eyebrow with curiousity.

(Ey @Shadow!)

(Crowley: Hey, we all know you're an idiot.)

(Welcome back, @Griffin and Turtle!)

( @Griff Yay!) {Meanwhile, at the palace in Solaris, Azureus returns. She walks through the halls towards the throne room. Her eyes are red from crying and lack of sleep. She wears a half grief-stricken, half angry expression on her face.}

Erwen remained in the throne room after Macgyver had left. He finally sat down and sighed quietly, thinking over everything he'd discussed with Mac and Ardens.

Scratch growled quietly. "Vitis- You might not want to tell him.... He has anger issues....."

(Maldius: @Crowley You're the only one who thinks that!!!)

{Vitis begins to prepare for their departure.}"Get this, apparently, that stuck-up brat of a prince over in Aquilam whacked his old man for control of the throne. Now, the people are pretty uneasy about it in both clans. If it's true, it means easy pickings for us."{Vitis turns back to Maldius.}"The old king took such good care of his boy, just to die by his hand. Psh, talk about ungrateful, am I right?"

The temperature in the chasm suddenly drops, and Maldius stares at Vitis, yellow eyes wide with disbelief. "... Whaaaaaaat?!? No... no, Lennox can't be dead, that can't be true! //I// was going to kill him!!" The dark dragon growls furiously, he wishes to believe it's only a rumor, surely, Lennox can't truly be deceased...

{Ardens was just leaving when he saw Azureus pass him by. //Uh oh, this can't be good.// He follows her as she enters the throne room. Upon entering, she approaches Erwen, but says nothing. She just stares at him with anger in her eyes, as if she's waiting for something.}

Ivy hummed in agreement and looked around, taking in the view of the marketplace. 'Yes, I suppose it is.' Her gaze slid sideways to Mac. 'So, what are we doing now?'

Erwen raised his head to look up at Azureus. "You're back, I'm glad to see you're alright." He kept eye contact with her, waiting for something.

{Vitis backs up a little at seeing Maldius' anger, half wishing he'd listened to Scratch.}"Hey, what's the matter? If it's true, then it'll make our jobs easier. Why are you so worked up?"

{Azureus' gaze does not change.}"Really. You were actally concerned for my well being. I'm surprised you have any care for who lives and dies at all."

Mac shrugs. "I thought I'd just wander around. I was thinking you were getting bored or something." He moved out of the way of a dragon sprinting down the street. "So, you said you had a friend that traveled with you. Where is he? You really shouldn't be alone out here."

Scratch whimpered. "It's true, sir." He was afraid of what Maldius would do to Vitis. Maldius sounded mad.

Erwen narrowed his eyes slightly but not in a way of aggression. "I've always cared, everyone just happens to have different ways of showing it."

Maldius grinds his teeth, Mystic lightning crackling around him as he glares at Vitis. "I spent one hundred years in exile, plotting Lennox's demise, Lennox, the dragon responsible for all my misfortune... If he is dead, then I am nothing more than a pathetic failure, a disgrace, but I promise you this: if he truly was slain by his heir, then I shall see to it that the young king will suffer far, far worse than I ever planned for his father!"

(Back! ^v^)

{Somewhere in a cave in the wilderness, the draugrs guarding Nox part from blocking the entrance. A dragon draugr enters, adorned with medical equipment enters.}"Hello Noxaura, my name is Doctor Zolaf. The Necromancer asked me to evaluate your physical health before we allow you to go home. Tell me, how are you feeling?"

(Welcome back, @Fluffy! :) )

Ivy watched the dragon running past and let out a slight sigh. 'Truthfully, I'm not sure where he is,' she replied after a few moments. She eyed Mac, wondering if she could trust him. Then she shrugged, guessing it couldn't do any harm to tell the story. 'I was captured by Maldius not long ago. At the time, I was travelling with a little dragon named Casta... I managed to escape after about a day, but Maldius had turned my friend into a mindless monster. I couldn't save him.'

{Azureus chuckles.}"Right, right. So, was it because you cared so much about the dragon that raised you, that you struck him down in his own home?! Was it out of love that you decided to stab him to death?"{Ardens enters, but keeps to the side of the room, listening.}

Mac didn't know what to say at all. "I- Wow, thats..... that's terrible." He stopped walking and looked at her. "Is there anything at all I could do to help?"

(Zolaf Is a funny name heheee)

Noxaura looked up at the draugr claiming to be a doctor and struggled up onto her feet. She looked herself over quickly before responding. "Besides being exhausted I can easily diagnose myself with major blood loss, infected wounds, and a rotting finger from it being torn off." She smiled unenthusiastically.

{Vitis chuckles nerviously.}"O-ok. There's only one way to know for sure. C-can we get going?"

'Yes, it's not good,' Ivy sighed. 'But unless you have a plan to kill Maldius, there's really nothing we can do. Casta is probably still with him, and I'm not about to walk back into that purple beast's claws to get him back.' She sat down and shot Mac a small, weary smile. 'Thank you very much for offering, though.'

Erwen sighed. "My father did not want to die to a curse, or by Maldius' claws." He glanced over at Ardens before returning his gaze to Azureus. "He didn't want me to be blinded by the need of revenge again, so he determined the best solution would be for him to die by my doing."

Maldius lets out a grunt, the lightning fading. "Very well..." he grumbles, "but it was likely just a rumor started with the intention of infuriating me... Lennox will still live, you'll see..."

{Dr. Zolaf nods.}"I see. I must apologise for your treatment, but must of those wounds of yours would not have reopened if you had just cooperated. And if you had just removed the ring when we asked, we would not have had to take such drastic measures. But, because us draugrs have no magical capabilities, all we could do was hope you could heal on your own. Clearly, you cannot. I do need to do one thing before you leave. An eye examination."

'You've lost someone as well? Can I ask who?' Ivy asked, genuinely curious. 'Of course, you don't have to tell me if you'd rather not.' She yawned widely and looked up at the sky.

{Azureus scoffs.}"Wow. You don't even respect me enough to tell me the truth. If that's true, then why did he fight so hard against you to keep his life? If he wanted to die to you, like you say, why bother fighting at all?"

(Lemme see if I can throw in a few comments first...)

After sending an angry growl to the dragon who had *cough Wyvrick-rolled* ran into him and Sherry, Maelstrom beat his wings and resumed his flight toward Solaris. "You alright?" He rumbled over his shoulder, checking that the young yellow dragon had managed to cling on during the incident.

{Vitis slithers on top of Maldius.}"Let's go find out then, shall we?"{Vitis disguises himself with his amulet.}

"Yeah, I'm alright!" Sherry's still upbeat voice declares, "Are you ok, Mister Xzar? And do you think that other dragon's ok?"

( @Fade Aw, okay.

I guess if it's ok I'll try to keep Wyvrick involved? I really don't know what to do with Wyvrick or Nitika right now. <xD)

Noxaura gave Dr. Zolaf a confused look. "An eye examination? I can assure you that of everything they work just fine."

Erwen growled. "I have a great amount of respect for you, Azureus. But no dragon would just roll over and accept death. He had pride still, but I believe he had no intentions of winning."

( @Fluffy: Oops, I forgot about that! <XD Yes, I would be perfectly fine if Wyvrick tagged along!)

Wyvrick flinched back at Xzar's growl. He hovered in place for a moment before flying closer so he could apologize, "I'm very sorry about that! I wasn't paying attention." He growled at himself, feeling ashamed that he had been so ignorant.

Alfred eating his candy he was thinking he dropped his gaze to the floor "should we be on are way?" He knew looking for Maldius was a dangerous and Reckless idea, but he promise he would help them. despite who he is.

Gemini look down to she didn't like her father, but he was the only family she had, other than sister she could never really meet "I guess so..."

Xzar narrowed his eyed the stranger, but seeing that he was truly sorry, he let out a weary sigh. "Whatever. All that matters is that everyone's okay," he rumbled, gaze flickering to the yellow dragonette on his back. "Why are you cruising around out here in the wilderness?"

Mac nodded. "Since you've told me about your loss, I feel like it would be rude of me to not tell you." He shakily laughed. "Well, I grew up without parents, for I wasn't born here. My magic was so unstable at a young age, so I had a specific dragon assigned to me. Her name was A-Ariel, and she was such a great person. Cranky, yes, but I loved her. She was like a mother. I burned her alot, accidents always. But one day, I got upset and I-" He sounded choked. "I burned her badly. The healers were not able to save her, and she died. I was never punished, of course. But I had to live with the fact that I killed her, and that was punishment enough.... Thats why I live in the palace, so the King could keep an eye on me." He rubbed his eyes. "I keep my friends close, and I'm so scared of loosing them..."

Grabbing Scratch and Casta, Maldius once again turns invisible, quickly rising from the chasm and heading back towards Solaris. //The heir wouldn't kill him,// he assures himself, //it's all a lie, a lie...//

"Yes..." Nitika hesitantly agreed, thinking about what they were getting into. "Yes, we should." She repeated, this time with more confidence.
She placed a few potions she'd quickly thrown together in her satchel, then stood up.
"Where exactly are we headed?"

(Smelly banana crackers! DX I have to go soon! Sorry guys Saturdays are crazy for me for a while. I'll try to RP on the go and if your still on when I get back )

Ivy tilted her head to once side and listened attentively as Mac spoke, her eyes widening when he finished. 'I'm sorry to hear that,' she said quietly. 'But it wasn't your fault. You've already told me that your magic is sometimes uncontrollable.' She paused to watch a flock of birds passing through the sky. 'I might not know you well, but I'm a pretty good judge of character. And I know you're a good person, no matter what happened before.' She gave him a brief, toothy grin.

( @Shadow: That's a bummer! Where are you traveling if I may ask, unless that's private?)

Mac smiled. "Thank you. You seem really easy to talk to. I don't talk about my past often, because most people just run away. Thank you for listening..."

Alfred Shrugged his shoulders and was thinking "well what I could makeout of the writing and talked about Maldius Fortress being in the Frozen wastes...." he scratched his chin " sounds like a cold place" he chuckled

"I could ask you the same thing..." Wyvrick muttered under his breath.
"I was going to Solaris after practicing my magic." Wyvrick explained, "I'm on break."

Ivy shrugged. 'I wouldn't run away from //you.// I've faced Maldius himself, a cute little dragon like you could never scare me.' She grinned flirtatiously at him.

(Well today we are just getting s stuff around for this coming weekend, my family we don't really do stuff during the summer we wait until the fall to do are family trips up to the mountains for the day or over the weekend @fade )

(I feel like the most unoriginal person in the world for having characters with dead parents. Ughhhhhhh)

( @Turtlee lol, don't feel too bad about it, I mean, both of Maldy-boi's parents are dead, Erwen's parents are dead, Nox's parents are dead, we'll all be unoriginal with you XD )

(Oh yes, and both of Sherry's parents are "missing." XP )

Xzar nodded his head slowly after hearing Wyvrick's account. "Ah, I see..." //Please don't tell him we're going there too, Sherry,// he silently pleaded. //Don't make anything more complicated than they already are, or I'll never get back to my home...//

Nitika shivered, imagining what such a place would be like. "I'm not very familiar with cold environments...
I lived near the deserts of Argo."

(I forgot what happened with Maelstrom's parents... probably dead too. We're all unoriginal. XD)

Macgyver let out a snort of laughter. "Cute? I dont think anyone has ever said that to me before."

Scratch whistled a tune, staring at the land below even though he couldn't see it.

(Oh yeah, the dead parents thing. XD I kinda hate that cliche even though I'm guilty of doing the same thing with some of my characters.)

Sherry beams at Wyvrick, watching him as she rides Xzar. "Really? We're going to Solaris, too! Mister Xzar's taking me to my Aquilam friends!"

'Oh, really? You're one of the cutest dragons I've ever seen, I'm sure other people must feel the same way.' Ivy stood up and stretched her wings, still smirking in amusement. 'What do you say about us finding something to eat? I can't remember the last time I saw food.'

( @Radiant: Yeah, I try to avoid it, but sometimes it just happens. Eira is one of the only OCs I own who's parents are both alive.)

(I also try to avoid the cliched 'evil/dark alternate form' character thing, but I probably failed at that too.)

Xzar closed his eyes, letting out a long and quiet sigh of utter defeat. //Way to go, Sherry, way to go...//

Cliches have never been something I liked but I can't help but use them : / )

(Usually, if my OC's parents are dead, it's because something killed them, and said OC watched his/her parents die.

I love writing tragic stories, by the way.)

( @Radiant: Yeah, that one too. I admit that they're both really interesting concepts, but they are definitely overused. Oh, and characters that are cursed or have unusual powers that terrify everyone. Quite commonly, a character will be unfortunate to suffer all three of those dilemma.)

(Usually if my character's parents are dead they died of natural causes. There might be a couple of exceptions.)

{Dr. Zolaf continues to speak while putting on leather gloves over his claws.}"Oh, I have no doubt that they are fully functional. This examination is to determine something else entirely. Please cooperate. I promise that you will be free once I finish."

(Maldius: @Fade Was that directed at meeeeee??)

( @Lilly: I noticed a little bit of that in you recently. TuT)

"What a coincidence..." Wyvrick chuckled. "I suppose I'll just accompany you there, then..." He said, seeing no other easy way out of the matter, "I'm Wyvrick."

Noxaura backed up nervously. "Fine, but I swear. If you try to tear out my eyes I will not hesitate to rip you to shreds if I must."

( @Lilly: Oh, I didn't mean to direct that at anybody! It was just a factful observation of what I see in most characters, including my own, I must say. I have no right to be accusing others of being cliche.)

(Mac's Mother died in a freak accident, and his father is still alive. Mina's parents dissapeared and she was forced to live with her Aunt and Uncle. Her uncle also died in a freak accident. Im so original -__- )

"Wow, I haven't eaten in a few days either. Food sounds good." Mac responded, and his stomach growled.

(A lot of my characters don't have parents because I never even think to create them...)

The little sunny dragonet squeaks with glee. "I'm Sherry! It's nice to meet you, Wyvrick!"

'Hmm...' Ivy glanced up and down the marketplace, looking for a food stall or cafe. 'Then maybe you'd take us somewhere we can eat? I don't really know my way around here.'

( @Fade Haha, I know you weren't. Admittedly, Maldius fits into the cliche list you mentioned, but that's fine with me, I love my purple boi XP )

{Azureus rolls her eyes.}"Keep telling yourself that, if it'll let you sleep at night. And don't think I came back because of some inherited loyalty to you. You betrayed your family and me! I came back because I had to. Maldius is still out there and if we don't stand together, we'll surely fall. But when this is all over....."{Azureus begins to walk towards the exit.}"Expect my letter of resignation."

(Fade: Not all my characters have parents either, but a few of the more developed ones have entire detailed family histories. XD)

"I'm Xzar," the disguised cyborg informed Wyvrick. //And I will shred you to pieces if you get too close.// "Now let's get moving before the daylight burns up more than it already has," he said, pivoting around to fly in the capitol's direction once more. His form expression indicated that he had no intention of stopping for any trivial matters again.

Also, I'm pretty sure all of my characters are cliche in some way or another. <xD)

{As they were flying invisible, Vitis speaks to Maldius.}"Hey, look, If the rumours turn out to be true, do us all and yourself a favor and don't lose control again. You've got a second chance to make this revenge a reality, so you've got to keep a lid on it, ok? If they see you again, it could ruin everything."

"Hmmm...." Mac looked around. "I know of a nice Cafe, but its on the other side of the palace. You dont mind flying again, do you?"

( @Radiant: That's awesome! Unfortunately, the majority of my OCs have very little story to them. Eira and Raven are the only ones with a lot of background, which is sad because they both exist in universes that I do not own. T-T)

'Of course not, as long as //you're// OK with flying again,' Ivy replied, winking at him. 'Well, let's get going, shall we?'

(Fade: Heh, the only reason my characters are so developed is because I have way too much time on my hands.)

( @Radiant: Lol. what less can you expect from a homeschooler? XD)

Maldius lets out a faint growl, examining the ground below as they approach the capital of Aquilam. "I suppose I can try to control myself..." he mutters in response.

Erwen nodded. "Very well Azureus, if that is what you wish." He looked down at the floor. "You will recieve no complications when you resign."

Wyvrick followed beside Xzar, making sure to keep his distance.
He stayed silent as they flew, making it even more noticeable that he was trying to be much more cautious after colliding with Xzar.

(Fade: Homeschooling is the reason I have over 80 OCs and feel the need to draw them and talk about them 24/7)

Mac nodded and spread his wings. He shakily took off, waiting for her to join him. "It wont take long. There isnt much other places I can think of, really."

{Dr. Zolaf smiles reassuringly}"Of course not. Please, hold still."{With one claw, Dr Zolaf gently holds one of Nox's eyes open. With the other, he squeezes one of Nox's wounds to inflict a small amount of pain. He watches her eye for any change in color or other fluxuation.}

Ivy took off, ready to support him again if he looked like he might fall. 'Lead the way!' she said brightly.

(I might have to go soon.)

Noxaura stands still and winces in pain as the draugr applied pressure to her wounds. "I don't know what you're trying to accomplish here..." There was no change, everything appeared normal.

@Radiant: Dang, that still blows me away every time I hear it. I was like that too, but now that I've joined a co-op that overwhelms me with too much homework, I barely even have time to attend roleplays.

I also need to leave now, sorry @Lilly and @Fluffy! I might be able to come back later on.)

{Ardens speaks up from the corner.}"She's a mess. What you did hurt her deeply. She's been friends with your parents since I was young. I hope your choice was worth it."

(Okay @Radient, We can just have them get food and chat, and they can split up for the day so you arent obligated to stay longer :P)

After a few minutes of flying, Mac made his way to land with her help. He pointed to a canopy where a few dragons were eating and talking. A busy looking dragon zipped around, only stopping to tip his hat at the two. "Good Mornin'! Find a booth wherever ya' like, and someone will be there to assist ya' shortly." The dragon zipped away again, and Mac made his way to an empty table. "They have almost anything here. Ask for something and they will give it. Aqualam magic." He winked, sitting down.

(Fade: Hey, I don't have as many OCs as Shadow. XD And see you.)

Ivy smirked and settled down beside him at the table. 'Anything? I'll have to test that.' She yawned again, only now realising how tired she was. 'So, what do you think Aquilam is going to do about that beast Maldius?'

Erwen looked over at Ardens. "I know, it'll take a long time before anyone forgives me or accepts my choice of action. But I'll have to live with that consequence."

{Dr. Zolaf continues.}"No change. Wonderful. One last test, then you're free."{Dr. Zolaf reaches into his satchel and produces a small, hexogonal, metal box. It's surface is covered with runes.}"This is what is called a Sacred Lamp. (lazy name is lazy.) It produces cleansing light magic. This is generally used to ward off evil spirits, but it will also burn anything associated with dark magic. This might sting a little, so please try not to move."{He places the box between them and opens it, revealing an intensly bright light. The draugrs at the entrance try to shield themselves with their wings, while Zolaf continues his examination. The light is slowly burning him, however.}

Mac let out a small puff of smoke, like someone smoking a cigarette would do. "Hmm... We are trying to propose a treaty with Chrysos. Extra help would be great. Oh, before I forget..." He took out a peice of paper and passed it to Ivy. It had his signature on it and a message written in runes. "Give that to the Manager of the Hotel near the palace. They will let you stay without charge to you, ill pay for it." He then lowered his voice so no one could over hear them. "You are one of a few dragons who have met Maldius in person recently. You could be great help to us. Please, we could use your knowledge on the subject." He paused. "And, I could help you get your friend back."

Vitis:"Don't try, do! One more slip up, and you'll lose yoir chance at totally annihilating the tribes for good!"

Noxaura growls in pain as the light makes contact with her scales, causing a burning pain. She squinted through the light at the draugr with an angry expression. "What are you doing?!"

{Ardens begins to leave.}"Yes. Despite how horrible this all is, I do admire your resolve. The best thing to do right now is to keep moving forward. Maldius will appear again, and we need to be ready for him."

Ivy studied the paper for a moment before taking it delicately in a sharp-clawed paw. 'That's very nice of you. I would have found somewhere else, but it'll be lovely to sleep in a real hotel for once. Oh, and Mac?' She glanced up and met his eyes seriously. 'I'm more than happy to help you with whatever you need. I have a score to settle with Maldius, anyway.' She examined the razor edge of a green-tinted claw. 'And I'd be eternally grateful if you could help me get my friend back.'

{After a few more seconds, Zolaf closes the box. He then examines Nox's eyes once again, looking for the same changes.}

The dark dragon merely lets out a grunt as a reply, landing just within Solaris and letting Scratch go. //Maybe I ought to just accept the idea that he's dead already... Vitis is right, for the sake of our rebellion, I need to stay hidden...//

Erwen nodded slowly. "Yes he'll be back, and I'm sure the news of my father's death will anger him." He stood up and looked around the throne room. "Everyone needs to be prepared."

Noxaura glared at Zolaf but otherwise showed no abnormal aggression. "Thank you...so much for adding more pain to what I've already had." she satcastically growled.

{Vitis dismounts Maldius and assumes his elongated drake disguise.}"Let's go find the truth."{Vitis goes towards the palace in the distance, where a crowd of dragons can be seen gathering.}

{Ardens nods and leaves, but quickly comes back.}"Hey, you've got an angry mob forming on the palace steps. You haven't announced your ascension to the throne to the general public yet, have you?"

Mac smiled. "Thank you! I will inform Ardens and Prin- I mean King Erwen as soon as I can. Until then, just take the day off and explore the Capitol. We will make sure you are treated nicely, but please keep this information to yourself. Ill make sure to find you when you are needed. And no problem-"
Mac quickly cut off, as a waiter appeared. He was tall and thin, his claw was pointing at a pen and paper, the items hovering in place.
"Ah, finally you are back Mister Mac. You look different, Missing a leg are we? So, what will you be having today?" The waiter spoke in an annoying and oily voice.

"The usual." He replied.

The floating pen scribbled something down, and the waiter turned to Ivy. "And what will you be having today, beautiful?" He asked flirtatiously.
Mac rolled his eyes.

{Zolaf nods}"Hmm, no change. Wonderful. You may leave now."{With a wave of his claws, the draugrs at the entrance disperse.}"Bye bye, now."

Erwen sighed. "Of course I haven't all this happened hours ago." He walked past Ardens quickly until he was standing outside and could see the mob forming.

Noxaura looked at the draugr doctor with a skeptical look. Her anger hadn't completely faded but she wasn't going to let this chance go. Quickly she darted to the entrance and examined the draugrs still nearby.

Maldius remains invisible as he follows Vitis, feeling that it would be easier to remain that way. He becomes quite lost in thought, as he suddenly realizes he forgot someone's name... //Our rebellion... our rebellion... that dragon's name was... Maelstrom, of course! How could I forget? It must be all these accursed magic-wielders, it'll be good to watch them all burn....... When I find Maelstrom again, I'm sure he will insult me with every term he can think of... but I deserve it... I've failed...// The dark dragon lets out an unheard sigh and focuses once more on his surroundings.

Ivy smiled and batted her eyelids at the waiter. 'Oh, I'll have whatever Macgyver's having. Surprise me,' she murmured quietly. She didn't actually care for the waiter's behaviour at all, but figured she may as well play along.

{As Vitis joins the crowd, a random dragon yells out to Erwen.}"Where's Lennox?" {Another voice follows, then another, and another, until it degrades to an indistiguishable mass of voices.}"Is he ok? Are the rumours true?"

{The guard draugrs are just sitting still or milling around. One even waves to Nox in a friendly manner.}

The waiter grinned at Ivy. "Yes of course..."
Mac looked at him straight in the eye. "Du-te draku" Mac growled at him.
The waiter's eyes widened. "Yes- Yes of course" He said, darting away quickly.
After a few minutes, the waiter appeared again, placing two bowls of soup looking food down in front of the two.
"I hope you enjoy." He said, giving Ivy flirty smile.
"Thank you." Mac said, passing him a coin.

Noxaura looks at the draugr that waves with an 'are you joking' glance before spreading her damaged wings and taking off into the air, heading for Solaris.

Erwen looked down at all the uneasy dragons. "Everyone calm down!" He slams one of his paws onto the ground, making it rumble ever so slightly. "I need you all to be quiet and orderly."

Ivy smiled carelessly in return and started bolting down her soup, hunger making her lose some of her usual calm elegance. After a moment, she paused and glanced at Mac. 'What was that you said to him? And do you not get along well with the dragons here?'

{A hush falls over the crowd as they await an answer. Vitis whispers in excitment.}"The moment of truth!"

A pair of invisible eyes glare up at Erwen from the crowd. //He's changed...// Maldius ponders, sitting silently as he awaits the truth.

Erwen stands in the position he'd seen his father take everytime he'd address the citizens. "I am afraid to announce that my father has passed. He had been affected by a deadly sickness and passed the crown down to me."

Mac grinned at her mischievously. "That waiter is very rude, and he happens to be religious. I told him to 'Go to Hell'." He laughed, but then looked at her. "No, I get along with most of them... He is just still pissy with me because I caught him pick pocketing dragons. Some dragons, though, dont like me."
He poked at his soup.

Ivy stared speechlessly at Mac for a second, then started giggling uncontrollably. 'Ooh, a side of you I've never seen before,' she snickered, returning her attention to the soup. 'Well, I wasn't remotely interested in him anyway. Nasty-looking man.' She then sobered and looked up, hastily swallowing a mouthful of food. 'And what possible reason do other people give for not liking you? Let me guess, is it because of your dangerous powers?'

Mac nodded. "They think someone like me shouldn't be working for the King. But they are over reacting, Im more of a glorified servant, but ever since I was attacked Ive been doing importaint stuff." He said.

(Tell me whenever you have to go @Radient)

(Turtle: I'm alright for now, but I might have to go in 30 minutes or so.)

Ivy scraped the last of the soup out of her bowl. 'Important stuff, eh?' She smirked up at him. 'Well, as I said before, I'd love to help out however I can. I don't know how useful I'd be on a battlefield, but I can certainly give information on Maldius and his cronies.'

{Vitis squints at Erwen, then whispers to where he thought Maldius might be.}"Hmmm, disease? Do you buy that? 'Cause I don't."{From the crowd, another voice pipes up.}"Really? A disease? If that's the case, show us the body!"{The crowd gives off a low murmur.}"Yes, the body. An autopsy must be performed!"

Erwen sighed. "The disease is not what killed my father. Per his earlier request I challenged him for right to the throne, just as he did his father." He looked down at the dragons with a stern look.

Maldius narrows his eyes slightly, then uses illusion magic to ensure only Vitis hears his words, "A dragon named Noxaura did tell me he had an illness..."

(I was slow. :p )

{An uproar of confusion erupts from the crowd.}"It's true! He killed Lennox! Why? Murderer!"{Vitis is grinning from ear to ear beneath his disguise.}

Noxaura, after a few shakey wingbeats was flying steadily towards her destination. Being with the draugrs had prevented any news from Solaris reaching her and she was worried for everyone's wellbeing.

Mac smiled again. "Thank you. Oh and I thought I could tell you a bit about Solaris and the people of it." He let out a puff of smoke. "These people are rude. Very rude. If someone gets too close, just say what I said to the waiter. And, you might not want to say that you were originally from Chrysos. Act like an Aqualam dragon, or at least a normal visitor."

Erwen growled and rose onto his hind legs. He brought down his paws causing gravity around him to increase and bring most of the dragons in the proximity to their knees. "Listen to me! We have greater concerns than the decisions I made last night. As of now Maldius is offically a threat to Aquilam and Chrysos. He would have killed my father, and everyone here in the blink of an eye!" He glared at everyone surrounding him. "We all need to stay calm and cooperate with each other."

//... So, my nemesis truly is dead, murdered by his own child...// Maldius glares hatefully up at the young king, but doesn't let his wrath get the better of him. //So be it, Lennox's boy, you've just chosen a fate worse than your father's.//

'I'll certainly keep that in mind,' Ivy replied, her gaze roving around the city. She was eager to set out and start exploring the place she'd only seen a few times in her life, despite her exhaustion. 'If you have no objections, I might go for a short walk in the city. You don't have to accompany me - I'm sure you have more important things to do, and I'll be perfectly safe on my own.' She smiled slightly.

Mac blinked. "Hmm okay, thanks for sharing a meal with me. Ill find you in a day or so. I have to go get new bandages anyway." He dipped his head and shakily took off.

{The crowd collectively gasps as Erwen does this. Vitis is absolutely bursting with glee beneath his disguise. A dragon approaches Erwen and stops just outside his gravity circle.}"Pri-I mean, King Erwen, you want us to work together against Maldius? What exactly do you want from us?"

'See you later, Mac!' Ivy called out to him as he took flight. She then let out a contented sigh, glanced around the quiet cafe and walked away. Her weary footsteps took her into the side streets where she continued to explore, still holding tightly to the paper Mac had given her.

Erwen relaxed slightly and addressed the dragon in front of him. "I want you all to be on guard, he can disguise himself and hide. Do not engage him in combat if he's found...we've already lost one dragon to him." He looked over the citizens gathered. "I want you to build relations with the dragons of Chrysos, we'll need their help. All of us together are stronger than him alone."

Mac made his way back to the palace, but stopped when he saw the crowd. He circled above them lazily, trying to figure out what was going on.

( @Aggron Just out of curiousity, will Ardens interrogate Fayveer after this?)

( @Lilly Yes. Right after this crowd scene is done.){Erwen's statement was met with mixed responses.}"I support that. I've got a friend over there." "Make friends with those.....those.....troglodytes? I'd rather have Maldius strike me down this instant!" "They're dragons just like us!" "What are we supposed to say? Hi there, sorry about winning the battle of the Dragon Veins, can we be friends now? We can't just erase centuries if feuds!"

Solaris was already in sight, quickly Noxaura landed in the far end of the market place. She began running down the streets towards the palace. But running with an injured paw made her progress much slower than it should have been.

( @Aggron Alright, I'm looking forward to it :p )

Erwen's mood lightened slightly. "Yes, I know we've had our conflicts with Chrysos in the past, but this is now. We have a chance as the living members of Aquilam to make ammends. The dragons on the other side of the border are just like us, we don't have to fight them."

Mac landed not far from Erwen, but he didnt speak. He stared at the crowd, making sure they didn't get too close.

Maldius, as he carefully listens to the crowd and Erwen, smirks faintly when he sees Macgyver, and gently nudges Scratch. "Look, old man, it's your boy..." he whispers.

Scratch growled. "Just as ugly as I remember..."

{The crowd continued to talk amongs themselves.}"Peace with Chrysos. That'd be something." "I don't care even if it is the king's decree! I'll never forgive them for what they've done to our proud clan! He's no king of mine!" "How can you say that? This is exactly what Maldius wants!"{The crowd begins to turn on itself.}

Maldius chuckles quietly to himself, preventing anyone from hearing him this time.

"ENOUGH!" Erwen shouted over the crowd. "Most of you are adults with respectable positions. Don't make fools of yourselves!" He looked around through the crowd of dragons. "Maldius wants you all to turn agaisnt each other. And if he wins, you will all lose everything!"

(SQUEALING AND SQUEAKING I GOT FAN ART OF MALDYBOI AAAAAHHHHHHHH!! *dies*)

{The crowd silences and backs away when Erwen yells at them.}"Well, excuse us...."

Noxaura could see dragons gathered up ahead. She slowed her pace to a slow walk and hung around the back of the crowd. She was confused about the silence that had enveloped the area.

Mac crept up to Erwen. "W-what's going on?" He asked quietly in his ear.

{Feeling bored,Vitis decided to speak up.}"And what do we do if Chrysos sees your rule as weakness and attacks in the middle of the night or something?"

(Hey, gtg for a little. Just assume that the crowd dispersed and that Vitis is hanging with Maldius. @Lilly the interrogation starts as soon as I get back.)

Erwen tilted his head towards Mac and spoke quietly so only he could hear. "I'm trying to settle these dragons down." He looked over at Vitis after hearing his comment. "Chrysos doesn't want war with us. We need to put down this irrational fear and accept our neighbors."

Mac raised his voice to the crowd to aid Erwen. "We need your coroporation if we wish to stop our enemy and live! This is your king now, treason and non corperation will not go without punishment!" He yelled to the dragons.

Mac felt something whiz past his ear. He turned to see a jeweled knife embedded in the concrete. Mac bent down to pick it up, but it dissapeared before he could touch it. "What the-?"

{Meanwhile, at his underground lair, Ardens puts on his armor and retrieves Fayveer. He beckons him forth from the tablet.}"Good morning, monster. Time to talk. Let's start with how to combat Maldius' curse."

( @Fade On a serious note though, Maldius, Vitis, Scratch, (I'm not sure if Ice would tag along too, up to you @Shadow :p ) and a mob gathered before King Erwen, Erwen informed everyone of Lenny's death, then the mob disbanded when @Aggron left. And then we broke out the board games, which Mac burned :p )

Erwen whipped his head around to look towards Mac. "What was that?"

Noxaura stayed still until almost the entire crowd had disappeared. She looked up to where Erwen and Macgyver were now visable.

( @Aggron Also, I assume Fayveer's physical body was lost when he was sealed inside the tablet?)

Fayveer lets out a quiet growl. "My, my, aren't you the demanding one... Hmmph, fine. As I told you before, I know of an enchantment to be used on, say, an amulet or a bracelet, some kind of wearable item which effectively would subdue the curse to having very little, if any, effect on his mind."

(No problem! @Fade X3 )

Necromancer:"So then, there's no way to completely and permanently reverse what you've done?

( @Lilly Yes.)

Mac looked at the floor, where the knife mark was. "A- a knife I think...."

"As far as I know... no, there is not. Maldius' curse has grown too powerful over all these years to be completely eradicated. Also, I'm sure you would like to know, that the enchantment is a form of a special rune... if you could give me a body, I could carve it into something to show you." At this point, Fayveer is fed up being tied to the tablet, and he's trying to give Ardens the information he desires as quickly as he can to hopefully be released...

Erwen looked worridly at the marks. "Do you have any idea who could have thrown it?" He turned to see if there was anyone who lingered that could be responsible.

Mac blinked and looked around. "No- But we shouldn't worry about it. They are gone now, for sure." He didn't notice the crowd depleting.

{The Necromancer eyes Fayveer with suspicion.}"The only way to accomplish that is to submit your free will to me. I'm not about to let you out of that tablet otherwise."

Noxaura began limping towards the two now that the crowd wasn't a problem anymore.
Erwen quickly saw a dragon approaching from the corner of his vision and turned to address them but stopped. "Where have you been?"

Fayveer huffs in response. "Well, that's too bad. I'm not going to submit my free will to you, yet you need the rune... it would appear we are at an impasse."

(Is he talking to Mac or Nox?)

(I misread that as "from the computer of his vision.")

{The Necromancer thinks for a moment, then speaks.}"It seems we have. Well then, why don't we make a deal? You submit to my will and give me the rune, and I will set you free, of course, assuming you leave Argo forever. How does that sound?"

"... After I give you the rune, you will return my free will to me?" the ghostly soul of Fayveer questions. //Perhaps my plan can still work... so long as I have my free will... I can make it work...//

{The Necromancer nods.}"Yes, but you better leave this landmass right after that. Do we have a deal?"

Hiding a grin, the soul replies, "Of course, I shall leave here immediately after. We have a deal."

Mac groaned and picked at his bandages, not really paying attention to who Erwen was talking to. They were itchy and his wounds were hurting again.

{The Necromancer grins.}"Very well. Let's get started, shall we?"{The Necromancer commands one of his minions, who leaves then returns with the body of a dragon. The Necromancer extends his hand toward Fayveer.}"Whenever you're ready."

Noxaura dipped her head down to Erwen. "I'm sorry, some...things happened that prevented me from returning again."

Erwen nodded. "It's good you're back, and hopefully for good this time." He looked over at Mac. "Are you alright?"

"I am ready. Fellow Necromancer, I submit my will to yours." Fayveer bows his head slightly as he speaks.

Macgyver hissed annoyingly as blood began to appear on the white bandage. "My stupid scratches are bleeding again. Rgghhhh...."

{The gems on the Necromancer's armor glow as Fayveer is bound to the Necromancer's will. He then pulls Fayveer off of the tablet and binds him to the dragon body.}"Stand."

Fayveer, as a draugr, does as commanded and rises, then lets out a huff. "Now, do you have something for me to carve the rune into, or do you simply want me to use the wall?"

Noxaura looked over at Mac and his stained bandages. She lifted a paw to reach out but stopped and lowered it again. "Erwen...he needs to get his wounds examined by a healer."

Erwen glanced back and Nox. "You do too, your old bandages have almost no white left visable."

{The Necromancer chuckles.}"Here."{He produces a large stone tablet and a necklace.}"Carve the rune that keeps Maldius' curse at bay on each of these."

"These healers aren't doing their jobs right. My ribs are very much still broken and painful." Mac poked his chest but paused. "Erwen, are you talking to someone?" He suddenly gasps. "Is it the noodle man?!?!?"

"Very well..." Fayveer does as instructed, carving the rune first into the tablet, then into the necklace, being careful not to make the slightest mistake on each. As he finishes the rune on each, the items glow a pale blue briefly, but it fades. "... Theoretically, merely touching these objects should subdue his curse, so it could be fully possible to beat Maldius' curse back by smacking him on the head with this tablet... that's only a theory, mind you."

(NOODLE MAN

{The Necromancer chuckles.}"I'll be sure to give that a try, next time I see him. Do you have any more relevant information regarding Maldius?"

Erwen sighed and narrowed his eyes. "Nox...go to the infirmary with Macgyver and patch yourselves up."

Noxaura opened her mouth to object but closed it and nodded silently. "Very well..." She looked over at Mac but lowered her gaze to the ground.

Mac didn't turn around, he didn't even react to the mention of her name. "Fine. Let's go." He growled, spreading his wings and clumsily taking off. He didn't wait for her, although he was flying slow. He didn't even look at her.

(Oooh someone's getting saltyyyy)

"Hmm... yes, in fact, I do." Fayveer grins somewhat maliciously as he speaks, "Maldius is running out of time... you see, I created his curse with the intention of slowly destroying his soul... his mind, his personality, memories, and identity. It has been a slow process, as his true self has been dormant all these years, but thanks to that dragon, Azureus, attacking the puppet with her light magic, she has managed to 'awaken' Maldius' true self... As a result, the curse and his soul are now in combat, trying to fight one another, meaning that the curse is now destroying his mind far faster than it was before. As he progresses in this state, he will begin to lose his memories, and may end up attacking his own allies, not recognizing them. Do you recall seeing any disfigured, mad dragons in my old lair, incapable of speech or thought?"

Necromancer:"Yes, yes I did. What of them?"

She avoided eye contact with Erwen and flew after Mac. It took a few extra wingbeats to get her steady in the air.

Erwen stayed behind and watched them until they both seemed a good distance away.

Fayveer's wicked grin widens. "The puppet will end like them, if you cannot rescue him quickly..." He begins tapping his claws on the ground rythmically, mimicing the sound of a device humans use to track time. "Tick, tock, tick, tock... every second that passes by, he loses a little more of himself... Maldius is running out of time."

After a few minutes of complete silence and Mac glaring at the ground, he spoke up. "Why did you do it?" He asked sternly.

Noxaura raised her head, surprised by Macgyver's sudden comment. "...Do what?" She kept a small distance behind Mac to give him space.

Mac turned to look at her, his eyes were narrowed slits. "You USED me!" He cried to her, his voice harsh.

Nox jerked back slightly at the accusation. "Used you? I...I never used you."

{The Necromancer narrows his eyes at Fayveer.}"Who said I wanted to save him? I'd rather he have his mind when he faces justice, granted, but he doesn't deserve a happy ending. Blinding insanity is too good a fate for him.

(*eats popcorn* This is getting gooood!)

At this, Fayveer bursts into a fit of laughter. "Of course! I'd like to see his father's reaction if you tell him the same!"

Mac stared at her. "You and Ardens were supposed to help me! You left me and him, and Ardens is always somewhere else- I almost killed a helpless little dragonet! And- and you sided with the enemy... you were going to kill Lennox- Why would you?!?! How could you break my trust- and everyone else's trust like that?!?!? We nearly died because of those dumb stupid books and THIS is how you repay us?" He roared, glaring at her.

{The Necromancer just glares at Fayveer.}"Yes. And it's your fault that he deserves a painful end. Anything else I should know about your "puppet"?"

(Oooooh, Mac's mad.)

Noxaura's ears drooped by the sides of her head. She looked down towards the ground. "I don't know...I wasn't in control half the time." She looked at the gashes that decorated her sides and legs. "I left because I didn't want to hurt anyone, and even then I tried to destroy everyone."

"Hmmm... no, not that I can think of. Now, you will fulfil your end of the bargain and release me, will you not?" A grin still remains on Fayveer's maw.

"Whatever." Mac growled. "And to think I really liked you."

{The Necromancer grins.}"Yes, yes, of course."{The Necromancer unbinds Fayveer from his body and holds him in front of him.}"But first, one last question. This is just out of my own curiosity. Did Lennox really decree that Zygoren's child be taken, or did you forge that letter?"

Nox sighed. "And I understand why you don't now." She changed direction and landed by the infirmary. Noxaura cringed and she tucked her wings back into a resting position. Tears pricked the corners of her eyes but she kept her head turned from Mac's view.

With a grunt, he replies, "I had it forged, I highly doubt old Lennox would have ever agreed to let me take him."

{The Necromancer grins.}"I see. Ok."{The Necromancer puts Fayveer back into the tablet, then begins to carve a circle of runes into the wall.}

(Fayveer: My freeeeeeedoooommm, noooooooo!!)

Mac followed her. "I still-rgghhh!" He suddenly whirled around and flew out the doors again, leaving scorch marks on the floor.

Noxaura whipped around to see Mac flying away. She gave the scorch marks only a glance before leaping into the air again and chasing after Mac. "Mac? Macgyver?! What're you doing!" She winced with every flap of her wings, the extra movement opening wounds again.

Mac landed in a small clearing where no other dragons could be seen. The pain from his ribs was great, but he ignored it. He stared at the ground, not answering Nox's calls.

Noxaura kept following Mac and landed when he stopped in the clearing. One of her front legs gave out during her landing, causing her to fall into the grass. She winced and stood. "Mac? What's going on...are you okay?"

Mac turned his head to look at her. There were tears running down his eyes. He didn't look mad anymore, just sad. "I'm sorry..."

{The Necromancer finishes his carving. It's a banishing circle, meant for casting spirits to the Oblivion plane.}"As I promised, I'll set you free. You won't be bound to me in Oblivion. Oh, and when you get there, say hi to Dolorus for me, will you?"

Noxaura's eyes widened in surprise. She limped closer towards Mac. "Mac, what's wrong?"

From within the tablet comes an unhappy grumble, "I suppose I'll not be able to return from Oblivion any time soon..."

"I'm an emotional mess. I got mad at you- My heart isn't listening to my brain..." Mac said quietly. "I'm sorry for this terrible life we live in. I'm a failure."

Noxaura came closer and hesitantly brought a tattered wing over Mac. "You have nothing to apologize for, you've only been a victim." She looked down at the ground and brought her wing back to her side. "You were right to be angry at me."

{The Necromancer laughs.}"Why so glum, chum? Wasn't this the deal? I set you free, and you leave this land? That's exactly what's happening here! Ahahahahahaha!" {The Necromancer banishes Fayveer through the portal.}

Mac suddenly brought Nox into a hug. "We're all victims here...." He hesitated. "And I still love you."

(Awww, it's so sweet ^-^)

Noxaura stood there stiffly, with tears in her eyes. "But how could you...I tried to hurt others, I did hurt others!" She pushed him away and held her head in her paws. "I can't trust my own magic anymore."

{The Necromancer removes his armor and goes back outside.//I need to find Maldius, before it's too late. He'll be reduced to a mindless creature before too long.// He then takes to the skies towards Solaris.}

"I don't hate you because I'm like you. I understand what it's like." It hurt for Macgyver to see her like she was. "I've never been able to trust my magic. M-my magic's killed before...." He paused. "And I would be a big hypocrite if I said I hated you for it. Because I'm just like you. And if your going insane over it, so am I. You don't have to live your life alone and in fear of hurting someone. Because I'm here."

Noxaura smiled slightly but it quickly turned back into a frown. "What if I hurt you? You've already lost a leg because of me." She took her paws away from her face and looked up at Mac sadly.

"The same thing you would do if I accidentally burned you." Mac said softly. "I wouldn't be mad at you because I'd know it was just an accident and you didn't mean to do it on purpose."

Maldius lies on a rooftop idly, watching the citizens of Solaris. "... What does Aquilam food taste like?" he suddenly asks, using his magic to ensure only his allies hear him. "Or food in general... It's been so long since I tasted anything, I don't remember what food tastes like."

(Meanwhile Fayveer is being tossed into another dimension singing: "Why can't we be friends?")

Scratch grumbled. "It depends what you eat. See that building down there? It's fast food, the equivalent of dirt."

Noxaura smiled and pressed her forehead onto Mac's shoulder. "Thank you Mac." She looked at his bandages with the red stains on them. "We need to get those looked at."

{Vitis pipes up.}"I like meat, 'cause it tastes like death! Heheheh."

"Okay, but I assure you I am very much fine." Mac said, smiling.

"But why would dragons eat something that tastes like dirt?" Maldius can't grasp what it must be like, to be a pathetic, weak, common dragon. //They have such horrible lives. Perhaps it will be good for them when I kill them all.//

Noxaura gave him a look. "Your bandages must be changed, and I can tell proper medicine was not applied. Come on." She lifted her head off Mac.

Mac sighed in defeat. "Okayyyyy. Lead the way."

Scratch grunted. "Dragons pay for others to cook crummy meals for them. They are too lazy to even catch their own prey. Pathetic."

Noxaura smiled and spread her wings with a slight wince. "Right, back to the infirmary then?"

Letting out only a grunt in reply to Scratch's remark, Maldius turns his head slightly to look at Vitis. "Meat tastes like death, you say? And you find it pleasing? ... I may have to try some, just to see what it's like for myself..."

Mac smiled. "I guess so. Gosh, I've spent so much time in there it's like a second home. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing." He spread his wings and took off, this time waiting for her.

Noxaura took off and began flying back to the infirmary. "Well since it's my duty to heal I'd say it's my second home as well." She turned to give Mac a big smile this time.

"Hah, yeah..." Mac replied. He looked at the busy streets below, lost in thought. "It's been a very long day."

{Vitis grins.}"I think you'll love the taste! That is, if you can even taste anymore."

"Well hopefully it'll get better after you're checked up on." Noxaura focused on flying again until the infirmary was back in view.

Mac smiled. "Yeah, I hope." He saw the infirmary and began to descend towards it.

Maldius ponders over that for a moment, but his mind wanders away from the subject, and he kind of zones out as he loses himself in his thoughts. //... How could I forget Maelstrom's name? He's my partner... Maelstrom is almost as important as I am... so how...? What else could I have forgotten...?//

Noxaura quickly landed at the entrance. This time she was able to stay sturdy on three paws. She stood upright and waited for Mac before entering the infirmary.

(Unforunately, I have to get going. See you guys next week, it's been a blast!)
